What a series

Only Michael Anderle can create a series of Santa Clause as a special forces black ops guy trying to atone for his past life by protecting Christmas from bad guys. It works well. Anderle is the undisputed king of urban fantasy. I've read over 500 of his books (maybe more) and with very few exceptions, they are fantastic.

Entertaining action listening. 🎧🎶

This kindle e-book novel is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 1 of 2

Michael Anderie does it again with an action packed Kringle novel. It has interesting characters leading to the conclusion in this novel but continued in book 2.

I would recommend this series and author to readers of action novels. 2024

I love this book and the series.

Thank you, Mr. Anderle for writing more stories about Kris Kringle. If your ideal of Santa Claus is an ex mercenary who can take out the bad guys and save the world, then these books are for you. I highly recommend this book and the series. Keep them coming!!!

This one was a different choice for me. I loved the idea behind the book and the overall story, but I had a few issues with its execution. First, there are SO many characters introduced throughout and I get that not all of them are important in the long run, but maybe an organizational tree would have been beneficial to layout the organization Kringle's attempting to dismantle as he discovers the "villains" and their place in the hierarchy. Due to the amount of characters and the amount of cloak-and-dagger, there were some perspective issues, where I had difficulty telling who was supposed to be narrating at which point, and how some of the logistics of the scenes were supposed to work. Overall, I enjoyed the take on Santa being an ex-merc who lives to defend Christmas, but doesn't really know how "the Workshop" does what it does with its magic, but it could have been better organized as a whole. Maybe slightly more detail and less secretive operation would have assisted in the wider reception of the story.

Bad ass Santa!

What's the best thing about being Kris Kringle? Taking out the bad guys trying to destroy the global economy during the holiday season. Former special forces Kris is chosen to be the new guardian of Christmas. Given a chance at redemption, Kris now uses his training and experience as a killer in the shadows, and some wickedly advanced tech (you could almost call it magic)to stop a shadowy organization trying to destroy the financial markets, and destroy the world status quo.
But nobody messes with the spirit of Christmas when Kris is on the job. Santa takes the naughty list very seriously. He doesn't leave coal in your stocking. He gives you high speed lead perforations, or severed arteries and tendons. Santa is a bad ass.

It was a fun read, especially if you like the action-adventure shoot-out type of book.
The fact that it was Santa Claus, along with the elves and the magic and technology they possess, made it even more fun. The bad guys keep seeing a person who seems to be Santa Claus but simply can't bring themselves to believe it, is amusing.
Santa, the current incarnation, has quite a past, so seeing him pulled into the magic of the North Pole calls for a whole new thought process, but it's fun and amusing. So just read it and enjoy it.

Kris Kringle saves the day

Kris gets an assignment from the Workshop to stop an organization from ruining people's finances right before Christmas. So he's off to New York to try and figure out what their scheme is and throw a spanner in the works. I love this series, Kris, the elves, and the Workshop are a blast, and there is always humor and a ton of action. I'm so happy we are getting Kringle stories in the off season and cannot wait for more.

It's a spinoff?

I really liked the Christmas Kringle series this is based on. This book has one new character, Grenie who seems to replace Valy who is not mentioned at all. Nice plot with lots of bad guys dead in violent bloody detail. Kris is more mercenary than reformed mercenary but he is up against hardened killers in this book.
Even with the new character this feels like the same series. There is backstory missing if you haven't read the first series.

I have enjoyed all of the Kris Kringle books by Michael Anderle and this is no exception

I have found the premise of Santa Claus being a former spec op member.Plenty of action and interesting characters plus a unique twist on Santa's workshop and on who's naughty or nice. Just as I look forward to Christmas I look forward to the next Kris Kringle tale

Are you on his naughty or nice list?

Once I started I read on until the end. I couldn’t put it down. The action was non stop and woe betide you if you’re on his naughty list. Kris works for good and even when he is away from home his workshop supports him. Excellent!

Three very enjoyable books...

It's 04:30 AEDT here and I've just spent a delightful two and a bit days reading the three books (so far) in this entertaining series with a new twist on St Nicks pre-christmas adventures.
A very fun light read.

Scary but Amazing!

It has always bothered me that the whole world is computerized! And you ,Michael dear, keep hitting on it with a sledge hammer! First with Bethany Ann and now Kris!

Great story! Makes you think!

Too long

Too long. The story was great, but it could have been shortened a bit. I loved Kris and his attitude, but all the violent descriptions could have been shortened. Otherwise, it was great.

A new purview for Santa

A little difficult to get into, but afterwards the characters started to jell. A lot of Santa humor snuck in and made me chuckle! I would like to see more character development on par with the rest of Michael's writings.

Great Dichotomy

Santa is a bad ass, kicking butt in order to keep up that holiday spirit. Everyone he kills, he worries about how their kids will be affected. Merry Bloody Christmas.

This is a solid story of Santa Claus as a mostly reformed special operations operator. He has to derail a plot to crash the economy of the world over the holidays. He's up against a well-funded and organized foe. Can ho-ho-ho defeat this plot? It's one big man versus a cast of hundreds. Put aside your sense of reality and enjoy the wild ride.

This is a bit of a weird one as can probably be deduced from reading the book blurb. It is perfectly readable though. Action and a pretty kick-ass hero with a bit of a supernatural team behind the story. Not as kick-ass as some of Anderle’s other heroes but fairly good anyway.

I will probably try the second book in this series as well.

Sniper Santa is first person shooter. his I had to read to believe. I'm not generally fond of first person POV. But oddly, it all works here. This is a Santa for a new age. I do believe in Santa Klaus, I do, I do, I do. Die Hard, move over.
