This appears to be an unpopular opinion based off the other reviews I've seen, but this one just wrapped up a little too fast for me. The conclusion to the mystery felt a little forced, and kind of anti-climactic. Our main characters ended up needing to do very little for it all to come out in the open, and the ending was just a little too easy.
This genuinely felt like a filler middle novel moreso than a conclusion, and I am a little let down after the first two.
JUST made a 3 star for me. I’m not mad I read this, but I’m also not happy about it either. I want to say that there was a specific thing that threw me off, but honestly I was just bored with this one and have almost completely forgotten what this book is even about already. It ticked off all the boxes (sort of… some of them were cop out statements like “I guess I’ll never know”) and gave the end scene, so I’m content with it, but it really was just not amazing. I stand by my theory that most trilogies would work MUCH better as duologies.
I was so excited for this book and it was freaking amazing!! I literally finished it all in one day I couldn’t put it down.
The cliffhanger at the end of PTP was a killer and I was so excited to get all the answers I was looking for!! And I won’t lie I didn’t expect it to go in the direction it did completely I had some things right but some of what happened I was like OMG whattttt!!!!
Daisy and her Beasts are so fire!! I just can’t get enough of them I love her and I love all her men they are just all so different and it just works for there group so well!!
I was literally crying during this book the raw emotions coming from this read kept ripping my heart out and just everything was written so well and the characters really started growing into themselves and man I was kept guessing about a lot when reading but gosh did I enjoy this so much. I loved how everyone came together and started healing and loved the perspectives from previous characters in other books it made everything come together so so perfectly and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Book three and we finally get the big reveal and what a let down. It felt so rushed and was wrapped up so quickly. I was hoping for a bigger reveal and a little more time explaining, but we didn’t get that. The other two books were good, disappointed how this series ended.
First off, some things are just absolutely unforgivable. Period. I don’t know why the writer did that because once that was done, I couldn’t forgive them because it was just so horrible what they put Daisy through. It was just so bad that I as a reader couldn’t forgive it and I myself couldn’t get past it.
I felt that she was really weak when it came to forgiving them. Like she didn’t even have much of a breakdown or anything when he was standing in front of her again all of a sudden. She was literally mad for like one second and then was just talking to them again in the kitchen at night like it was all fine and dandy, like she didn’t just go through the uttermost hell of her life for the past three months, or that the three men that she loved didn’t just do that most horrific thing to her.
I pushed through, but I couldn’t get into it anymore, and the rest of the story wasn’t interesting enough for me to actually give it more stars. Daisy was a weak ass heroine whom was driven by her pussy and let the man that cared for her treat her like shit again because they would fuck her. The guys were OK, but still they were bargain bin copies to the three amazing guys from the previous series. Especially my Daddy Neo. I guess the series was OK, but I don’t know if I’d recommend it to be honest.

“Details withheld to prevent spoilers” - Just checking out the table of contents will probably reveal what the author is attempting to hide. I haven’t read far enough to find out if I’m right or not.*
I’m familiar with authors using a design at the beginning of a chapter. Most that I’ve paid attention to relate to a character so I don’t get why there is a tiger here. I'm guessing the flower in its mouth is supposed to be a daisy but it looks more like a dandelion.
Why is one of the vehicles named Benji? Why is Gray so pissed at Daisy when he’s the one who confessed his assault? Why doesn’t Daisy ask for Gray to be relocated since he’s making her so uncomfortable? Why doesn’t she keep a pair of practical shoes in her office that she can change into instead of wearing heels to the construction site? (I can’t believe she walked 1/2 mile on a dirt path in heels)
Daisy and the three guys didn’t have much interaction prior to Blake’s death as he was intent on keeping them apart. At least one of them had to swear to never touch her. Why did they seem so obsessed with her before they were imprisoned? She never came across as being anything special.
Getting bored with all the redundant sex and Daisy’s constant horniness. It’s overdone. I don’t care if her ass is sore after allowing Jace to ream it.
I still don’t understand why Daisy and the guys are so convinced that her mother, Mac, Arlo and Michael are somehow related to the more recent abductions. Michael’s new identity is pretty much what I expected.
I’m with Jace and Wolf wondering why Piers would return to Blackwell Falls after all this time. He can’t be getting even with Daisy’s mother since she died a decade ago. Daisy’s father wasn’t even in the picture when Michael/Piers lusted after her. Also, Daisy has been working for him (for months?) so why are Jace and Wolf suddenly in a panic? Chances are he doesn’t know they’ve figured out who he is. The timing is unbelievably coincidental.
The motive for the crimes seems too contrived. Piers is a supposedly handsome, successful, wealthy businessman. Why would someone who abducted women return to the “scene of the crime” when a similar trafficking ring had been busted in the area. His excuse that he was getting even with the women who had hurt him in the past is weak, to say the least.
Did Daisy’s mother really accidentally OD, commit suicide or did someone cause her death? That was never made clear to me. Also, was her father behind her being kidnapped and locked away as she accused or was it Piers? Is Daisy ever going to do DNA testing? So many unanswered questions.
*I was right!
Bonus Chapter: Was I about to become a young unwed mother? One whose baby might have been fathered by any one of the three men striding next to me? What does she mean "might have been?” I’d say it’s a sure thing unless she's screwing around with somebody else.

I’m not gonna lie in the beginning of this book I was struggling to keep reading after the cliffhanger from the last book but I’m so happy I finished it was a really good book and a great series crazy plot twist also I don’t regret reading this at all
That ending! Loved all the surprises and the sweet moments, too. I think the Blackwell Beasts might be my favorites. Which is saying a lot because I definitely loved the Kings 😂
I was between a 2-3/5 rating. I liked the story, the plot twist of who it was (even tho I suspected it after the first incident with gray), the romance, the house building. I didn’t expect Jace’s father, I kinda feel like that was just thrown in there without context and I feel like then faking Jace’s death was also pointless other than to get the readers to keep reading. He should have had more information or ties if they went as big as “killing him”. There was no explanation how everyone just accepted Jace was dead either? I kinda wish there was a bigger fall out with how mad she would have been, they didn’t have a real excuse as to why they made her think he was dead for so long and it was just skated over like “I just love them let me forget it”. Why did Arlo sign over guardianship of his son?? Why did arlo fake his own death too?? Did Mac know what they were up too?? What had Arlo been up to all those years besides trafficking and why?? How did the gang adjust after the fire and crime break went down??
The fires weren’t fully explained either? If they ever busted the other 10 guys who bought the girls? I wish she would have told Ruth and her father about what really happened to Blake and got their reaction. I also wish we knew the answers on her real paternity, I do hope Mac is though. I felt like there was a lot of things in this series that could have had better explanations, rather than just accepting the odd ones. For example: just accepting the whole “move into my house bc I need help” then brushing over her kidnapping!! There could have been so much more with the kidnapping aspect! Giving us a back ground more of the 3 guys? their actual future together after a few years would have been nice! Idk I’m conflicted about this review, it was good but could have been much more and better explained. It has so much more potential. I did notice quite a few grammar errors as well (hypocritical, I know, I can’t write for crap^^ but I’m not the writer here)
Another thing was, she was kidnapped in the first book and went on about how she would never let herself be weak again. Never put herself in a situation like that again….. AND WHAT DOES SHE GO AND DO! Definitely didn’t actually watch herself or learn anything! Like yes she went to the gym, but the ending was so anticlimactic. She didn’t know how to use a gun, barely truly defended herself/her sister; all she did was stab a guy with a key, push him back with a kick to the chest when he was on her, and barely clipped gray with a gun and then dropped it! Like come on girl fr.
I did kinda like the 2 others stories being build into this series with Neo and Rafe. Makes you want to read the others but also like ??? What’s going on here?? Very similar stories it seems ( 3 morally gray guys one girl who thinks they did something bad that involves her) and based on this series I’m unsure if I want to finish the others. The spice was good if not rushed at some points (had a lot of consistent sexual encounters of the same thing over and over). The bike scene with Jace was good, the initial lost virginity in the meadow good, the club scene good, Otis at callys was good, the restaurant/limo scene, other than that eh.
Otis was my favorite out of everyone. I loved his personality, his connection with his sisters (even though we don’t know how that went for future), his low key TISM with not understanding social ques, his love for her, his stalking 🤣, his love for fixing things and working with his hands, his loyalty!! Loved him.
SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS. 2-3/5 stars.

Y’all I don’t think you understand how In love with the BEASTS I am! When I finished pay the price I was Chomping at the bit to get this book! When I finally got it I DEVOURED it in a day! Ate it up left zero crumbs CHEF’S KISS!
A perfect culmination to Daisy and her beasts ! So many unexpected twists and turns in this book literally left me guessing until the very end on how it was going to all go down. Normally I track my reading speed and keep an eye on page count but nope there was no time for that in this book literally when I got to the end I was like… perfection!
In case you’re here and you haven’t read the other two books in this trilogy lemme give you a quick breakdown. This story is a dark bully romance that centers around Daisy our FMC who is big in the town and has family ties to it and her BEASTS (Wolf, Otis, and Jace) our MMC’s. Why choose am I right ? Also enemies to lovers kind of story line because these guys were her brothers best friends and bullied her until the day came when they admitted to ending her brother and serving time for the crime. Daisy however believes there’s more to the story and wants the truth for herself so she decides when they are released to offer them free room and board at her mothers family home which she owns and is renovating in exchange for their help with the Reno and giving her time and opportunity to question them on the events. Forced proximity anyone?
So ,much deliciousness in this book series it’s. Must read from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️! Go now and check out not just the black well beasts series but also the aventine university series written by Sadie Hunt can’t recommend them both enough!
After reading the first 2 books and the way the second one ended, I couldn't wait to read this book. Plus, I enjoyed reading about Jace in the first two books. However, this book was a disappointment. I don't want to spoil anything but the twist was dumb. There was no need for it at all. It took sooo long to uncover the mystery that there was no need for all the other crap. Also, the constant mention of "The Beasts" was ridiculous. She couldn't refer to them as they, them, the guys. No, it was The Beasts. Ugh! I got so sick of it that I hated seeing it and skipped as much as I could. Also, the book was more about the mystery about the missing girls than anything else, and there was so much detail about it that it bored me. The ending, and the reason why the girls were going missing was so ridiculous it made reading the book not worth it at all. Then the book ended with things left unmentioned and unresolved, which annoyed me so much because why give us so many unnecessary details of the search of the missing girls when you could've talked more about Calvin and his involvement with Daisy's kidnapping and the missing girls, and how nobody ever asked about his murder, about her father's reason for being so MIA and never knowing about Calvin, and it would've been nice to know Daisy's paternity because her talk with Mac was so dumb, plus the lack of steam compared to the other books was disappointing. Daisy was also even more annoying and immature in this book. I was tempted to give this book one star but I figured the very few interesting scenes deserved an extra star.
After I flew through the first two books I was so excited to finally tear into the conclusion and get the answers I was desperate for. This series was absolutely fantastic. It’s one I could reread, and that’s something that’s rare for me. But I loved the mystery and suspense it had, I loved the setting and the old creepy house Daisy and her guys were fixing up. The spice was very spicy, and it didn’t feel like there was too much or that it took away from what was going on in the story. I’ve read a lot of books where it’s just too much sex and it feels like every chapter has it or that it just goes on and on. It didn’t feel like that with this series. I enjoyed the buildup to Daisy and Jace, and liked how their relationship progressed. Wolf and Otis were just the sweetest and sexiest guys ever. I had so many theories between book 1 and 2, but I was wrong on who X was, but right about Jace’s dad and also about Piers and Gray. I kinda wanted to see Daisy’s dad and her have that conversation regarding Blake and everything he was involved and what he was intending to do to Daisy. I’m also left with some questions Calvin, and I really wanted to know if Daisy’s dad was really her dad. This was a really great series and now I want to check out Willa and her guys story! And I’m so excited for Sadie’s next series about Rafe, Nolan, and Jude!
Sadie keeps blowing my mind away with her books. The plots, the twists that end up changing everything you thought you knew, to the steamy relationships between the FMC and her men. Every one of her books is an absolute MUST read!
The cliffhanger from book two left me heartbroken and sobbing, however Sadie and her amazing mind has done it again, I was on the edge of my seat throughout this entire book, riding a crazy rollercoaster of emotions with every plot twist she threw our way. Finding things from the second book, Pay the price, to be a misguide to the overall plot of the series, finally finding out who Mr. X is and why he had such nefarious dealings in Blackwell Falls.
The past came back to haunt all of the characters on their search to find out who was behind the disappearances of so many over the years. What possibly could have happened all those years ago to be hurting so many people today and why does it seem to revolve around Daisy and her Beasts at every turn and their shared histories? Only one way to find out, read Daisy’s story now and see how she went from a naive rich girl to uncovering a decades long mystery and falling in love with not one but three of her brother's best friends!
To The Grave is absolutely EXPLOSIVE and STUNNING. Following the epic cliffhanger we got in Pay The Price which left me astounded, we get the continuance of Daisy and the Beast. Their story is so addictive and consuming, I couldn’t put it down I was so wrapped in it!! These characters are so intense, alluring and fascinating, you can’t help but be fully immersed in their suspenseful, passionate and interesting story.
As for the spice factor it is off the charts HOT, HOT, HOT. Oh my it’s freaking steaming!!! This WHY CHOOSE romance will give you some many delicious delights with Wolf, Jace, and Otis. Daisy is one very lucky girl😉 There are so many moments that have you wondering what will happen, some moments when you just want to scream and then the pivotal moment when you can breathe with relief for these characters. I thought I saw where their story was going but as any wicked and amazing author would do, Sadie surprised us with some turn arounds that were simply intriguing, maddening and inviting. To say I enjoyed this book and the whole trilogy is an understatement. I thought the Aventine trilogy was REMARKABLE however I must say that the Beast series is that and MORE. It is truly a PHENOMENAL read!!
O.M.F.G! The wait was definitely worth the pain, suffering, and crying brought on by Pay the Price. I was blessed to be part of the ARC team, and I honestly dropped some of my professor duties to read the conclusion of the Beasts trilogy this week. Sadie Hunt is an exceptional author who will keep you turning one page after the next until you are begging for her next novel or series.
Book three hits just as hard if not harder than books one and two. The character development and story arc do not disappoint. While some parts were predictable, Hunt keeps the action high, the mystery intriguing, and the spice hotter than ever. The ever-present danger makes the spice more intense and the ups and downs of Daisy's crazy life and relationship with the Beasts much more worthwhile. The story alone is juicy enough to keep you interested, but with three insanely hot guys thrown in the mix, it is damn near impossible not to work up a sweat.
I highly recommend not only the Beasts trilogy but the King's trilogy as well if you are new to Sadie Hunt! She is one of the best writers if you are looking for a dark, steamy, why-choose romance with a HEA.
"For what it's worth, even death couldn't keep me away." PLEASEEE MY HEART!! Okay the time has finally come for book 3 and holy CRAP was it worth the wait!! I DEVOURED IT!! The story picks up pretty much right after the cliffhanger from book 2 and had me in my feels from the start. Daisy and her Beasts never fail when it comes to delivering the emotions and hard hitting feelings for each other. This book ripped my heart out of my chest and then put it back together beautifully. I love Daisy and her THREE fine a** men, and how they all differ from one another but bring out the best in each other. Nothing, and I mean nothing beats a Why Choose; and Sadie kills it every time with the SPICE (My hubby thanks you) and the twists and turns in her plot! I was trying to figure out the mystery alongside the crew in the books and felt like I was on a wild roller coaster, I LOVED IT! You may think you have an idea of where it is going, but you have no idea and that is another reason to love Sadie and her writing! If you are looking for a new Why Choose, dark and steamy romance, PLEASE I BEG YOU TO PICK UP THE BLACKWELL BEASTS SERIES!! I received an ARC copy of this book
Really enjoyed this series. Great mc's, plot, emotions, scene set-up, steam. I loved that all 3 guys were amazing in their own right. With each being so different and unique with the common goals of protecting and loving Daisy. I didn't like one more than the other, which is what I think a reverse harems should be about. Lots of twists and turns, some predictable and some not. Liked all the characters that were meant to be likable. I'm not sure where Ruth was meant to fall in the likeability category, but I couldn't stand her.
Loved the epilogue.
•••Possible Spoilers •••
- Ruth never redeemed herself. Gray was spot on about her, calling her "a spoiled cunt". - Michael White' identity was a surprise, but not at the same time. - Even though Mac didn't really have any page time, I felt bad for him. For how much he loved Daisy's mom (Eleanor/Nory) and her him. But for whatever reasons she wouldn't stay with him. I still want to know if he is Daisy's bio-dad. - I really thought Daisy's dad was in on it up until this book.
This series grabs your attention right out of the gate and pulls you right in! I really love the first person narrative. Makes you feel you are right there in the story. This is a MUST read series if you love mystery, intrigue, and hot steamy scenes with not just one but three hot af guys!
This third installment of the Blackwell Beasts series picks up a few months after the jaw dropping cliffhanger that left us flabbergasted and chomping at the bit to find out what happens. It delivered and then some!
I could NOT put this book down. Each page pulled me in further and further. I am sad that this is the last book in the series and hope that this is not the end of their story. Sadie, PLEASE continue with future books with these wonderful characters! They have lots more on the horizon for us to get lost in! Thank you for writing such wonderful characters with great
“No wonder everyone was staring. It was like being escorted by three of People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive.”
Wow. Book 3. Wow. “I thought they were my harbor in the storm. Now I know we are the storm.” This was in the back of the book as the description for book 3. Apparently the author didn’t want to ruin anything in book 3! And I’m so happy I didn’t read any spoilers by accident.
I’m having dinner guests in 90 minutes and I had to finish this book. It was so good. So many mysteries, so much drama and book 3 answered all the questions and tied up all of the loose ends.
Also without revealing the biggest spoiler of all, Sadie Hunt is forgiven for the ending of book 2.
Loved the Blackwell Beasts Series, so good. There was a plot, drama, mystery and loads and loads of spice. This series had it all. 3 hunky walking 🚩’s was just the 🍒 on top!
Reverse Harem Smut Dark Romance Adult Contemporary Romance
Oh my stars!! So thankful to be able to read the ARC. I missed my friends at the falls. Sadie Hunt, you broke my heart in Pay The Price. Happy to say you healed it, broke it again-for a different reason, then put it back together with To the Grave.
As gutted as I was after book 2, I came back eager to catch up on the loves of my friends in Blackwell Falls in book 3. The glimpse we get into some other characters but also how much deeper we get into the lives of Daisy and The Beast was like quicksand. Could not read this fast enough. I don't have a favorite necessarily, because Why Choose? ;) but I have had a soft spot for Otis and his neurodivergence. The way he is still masculine, strong, thoughtful, smart, caring, SEXY AF, while being accepted, unapologetically, for who he is makes me love those who love him even more.
Can't wait to see what..if anything..(?) happens next in Blackwell Falls.
Whewww 😮💨 Sadie has a way with keeping people on the edge of their seats and when I tell you she has taken us on a wild ride with this trilogy I mean it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. PTP left me ugly crying and jumping up and down waiting for To The Grave, and let me tell you, Sadie did not disappoint! The character development and the little details throughout these three books helps to develop this story and paint such a vivid picture that you can’t help to feel the emotions of the characters and feel so immersed into the story. If you’re looking for a thrilling ride with redemption, pain, love, loyalty, why choose, dark and steamy, and twists and turns check out Daisy and her beast’s story. The Blackwell Beasts trilogy will forever live at the top of my all time favorite list with the Kings🖤
The thrilling conclusion with Daisy and her beasts
Thank you for the arc! ❤️ The opinions expressed in this review are honest and completely my own. That being said, I loved this book and it went by so quickly. It's great to see Sadie grow as an author and take on more of a complex story. I loved the king's, but I feel like the beasts are even better!
I loved all of the characters, it would be impossible to pick just one. The investigation angle of it felt very exciting and high stakes, I was dying to know what was going to happen next. It especially ramped up at the end! Adding another point for extra POV chapters too for extra tension and drama. Excited for the next ones already 😂
If To The Grave by Sadie Hunt caught your eye, then go back and start with her Kings series (Aventine University Series) then dive into the Blackwell Beast Series starting with Gather the Storm, followed by Pay the Price, then come back to devour To The Grave, and trust me, if spicy, RH, action packed, and a thrilling roller coaster ride of suspense, emotion, and an HEA are your tropes then this series is for you! To the Grave has all of this and more, I’m so sad this series is over, but this book was the perfect send off and set up for the next series with some characters we have already been introduced to and intrigued by, and it won’t be the very last time we see the Beasts or the Kings, and Sadie’s next series is guaranteed to be just as 🔥🌶️🥵❤️🔥.
So not going to lie when I saw the book was over 800 pgs n 82 chapters. I felt like I was on the top of the roller coaster about to rideee down with no brakes. However the chapters are pretty short 3- 6 pages. I knew it being the last book of the series Sadie wasn’t going to leave her readers hanging like a hot sexy night with a signifant other (or more ;) but like the roller coaster ride I couldn’t stop reading the book. The twist and turns felt like I was in a corn maze. I wanted to get out, but I wanted more, and figure out the puzzle. And oofff the climaxxx was worth it. The ending was a perfect bow like a wrapped present 🎁 of red bottoms for a fancy store. I can’t wait to read the next series.
"The kind of fear that made me fear for my soul, for all the things I'd always believed to be true about myself, the bedrock of every belief on which I'd built my life." Phew, this sentence spoke to me on such a profound level. To say this book had so many twists and turns would be an understatement. Sadie gives you enough to think you've got it all figured out and then hits you out of left field with the full story. The beasts once again prove that they will do anything to protect what they love, and Daisy finds the strength and belief in herself to fight for all she holds dear. I can't wait to see what's next in the Blackwell Falls world, and hopefully catch a glimpse of the kings and beasts.
Sadie Hunt so clearly put all her heart and soul into this book. You could just feel the emotions flying off the page. For the last half of the book I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, filled to the brim with anxious energy trying to devour the story as quickly as possible. Bravo Sadie, we see you 🫵💜
This book tore my heart to shreds and agonisingly slowly put it back together again. Daisy's character development was some of the best I've read in a long time, the way she grows throughout this series is so refreshing.
The Beasts are my favorite RH guys I've read, to this date. To see their story come to end was sad, but I am sure we will get to see them in Into the Fire.
