Bone Cold
"Bone Cold is a great read in the Sarah Armstong series especially for a fifth book. Some series seem to lag after the first couple of books, but not this one! Main characters you like and an interesting story line that keeps you engaged the whole book. Kathryn Casey has done it again." - 5-star Goodreads Review
A plumber cuts into a wall at an old house searching for the source of a leak. Instead, he uncovers a gruesome sight—a woman’s mummified body tied onto a chair. How long has she been there? Months? Years? Decades? Who is she? Will Texas Ranger Sarah Armstrong be able to interpret the strange symbols surrounding the body to find the woman’s killer? Is this baffling case tied to one out of Sarah’s past, unfinished business that still haunts her nightmares?
Meanwhile, Sarah’s life is in turmoil. On her way home from dinner with a friend, a dispatch prompts Sarah to take a detour. Hoping to help two officers serve a warrant, she arrives at a chaotic scene. Sarah advises them to stand down and wait for help, but a trigger-happy cop shoots, and it all goes bad. An innocent man is killed, leading to a courtroom confrontation that puts Sarah’s actions under a microscope and her face in the headlines, endangering her family and her life.
The two cases intertwine and take Sarah on a terrifying journey, leading her to reevaluate her life, her choices, and her future.

Really enjoy reading the Sarah Armstrong series. Book 5 grinds Sarah not only trying to solve the murder of a woman found sealed inside a room inside a house, but must defend her reputation and judgment when a young police officer shoots and kills man who he claims had a gun despite Sarah telling him there was no gun and to hold off before taking action. Sarah and her family come under attack from the police officer’s supporters, but are they the only ones who are after Sarah. Hopefully Book six will enlighten us.

Kathryn Casey does it again!
She has the same great characters in Bone Cold! Texas Rangers fighting for justice and the law; Sarah Armstrong and her family! And the ending, as always, was a cliff hanger, and left me waiting for the next book!! Can’t wait!!

Enjoyed it!
I like the continuity between this book and previous books in the series. Sarah is a good example for young women who want to be professionals.
