This book was my first Nova Kane book and I can promise you it will definitely not be my last.
OMG the Shaw brothers. There are not enough words that I can say that will fully express them or do them justice.
Nova Kane brings us this amazing world of motorcycles, spice, action, and obsession. And she brings it full throttle, no brakes and going for the finish line. This book was amazing and addicting and I cannot wait for the next book 🖤🖤🖤

You have Bexley Larson. Our fashion major FMC. Bexley has dimmed out. She's not the same feisty girl that she was. She's broken and doesn't know if she's ever going to be fixed. Literally heartbreaking. Her whole story was just so sad to read.

Sayshen has been OBSESSED (with a capital O) with Bexley since High School. She was the girl that never fell for his tricks but the one he wanted the most. Honestly the biker thing is hot imo. It's not overdone and it brings a sort of thrill to the story with the team and the races and everything. Anyway Sayshen has a brother named Talon. His older brother who also happens to be a biker… I think you can see where I'm going with this and I absolutely loved it!
I ate up their whole relationship and dynamic with Bexley. The opposite approaches and the romance of each of them… I mean even the dirty talk was different and I get so happy when why choose characters are their own character and not just an afterthought and Nova Kane did it was legit PIZAZZ.
Bexley, Talon and Sayshen are literally electric and I have a feeling the whole series is going to be AMAZING 💛💛

I've never read a racing bike romance before so here's giving something new a try, new to me author too, so here goes...
I jumped into this last night as soon as I'd #oneclicked it off Amazon, and I couldn’t put it down, this was inhaled in one sitting, well more like lying down since I started it in bed that night, and kind of read until I'd finished it, straight away it got its hooks into me, I’ve never read anything like it, loved the family of racers, loved the storyline, loved the guys and their girl.

At Palm Springs High Bexley is the girl all guys want and all girls want to be, but no one is more obsessed with her than eighteen year old Sayshen, and like a broken record she's repeatedly shut down his advances which isn't that surprising with him being the biggest f#ck boy at school. It's a known fact that he's been obsessing over her since his junior year of school. She's got another year left of school before she's let out into the big wide world, and he's off to race, which is another obsession of his.
Four years later.
She's with a guy named Christian, she has been for years, things were great between them in the beginning until he became a controlling fist happy guy.
And now Sayshen is back in town for the opening weekend at the track with his team to race. Consequently they bump into each other whilst waiting for their coffee orders and he notices straight away the bruises she's failed to hide.
And this is where it starts getting wild, Bexley's man Christian rides with the 'Vicious Vipers' the only team that poses to take first place away from the brothers team the 'Demons.' There's always been a competitive rivalry amongst the two teams. But now throw Bexley into the mix things and are going to get deadly.
You'll also get to meet the team, Reign & Cruz which are Sayshen's best friends. And Thorne has just recently been recruited into the team.
After Talon saves Bexley from an altercation between her and Christian it clicks why his brother for most of his life has been so obsessed with her, he can't get over how gorgeous she is. Making her pack up her things he takes her to Sayshen, but like the family they are they all rally around and protect her. The only place they can think to take her where she won't be found is the beach house both brothers purchased and share.

It's whilst she's healing at their house that things start to heat up between Sayshen & Bexley, there's also an underlying sexual tension between Bexley and talon which isn't explored until a wee bit further into the book which scorches the pages, but when they share her holy hotness it became an inferno.
I can’t wait for the next book!

Who cried? I CRIED!! Wasn't expecting that at all, but there was a really emotional scene that got me.
This is my favourite book by this author so far, out of three I read (one on her other pen name), it features a biker found family that I can't wait to see more of in future books. In this one we follow two of them who fall for the same girl and are ready to protect her with their lives.
Sayshen has been obsessed with Bexley since high school, and that obsession never went away, only came back stronger when he ran into her years later. I loved how protective he was of her, after seeing the evidence of how Christian was treating her.
Both he and his brother Talon helped Bex leave her abusive relationship, and their friends welcomed her into their group with open arms which was so nice to see.
With that said, I do think Bex recovered from her abuse in record time. It's a shorter read so I get there's not enough room to explore everything, but she seemed almost fully recovered by the time she and Sayshen got together, which was only a few days after her rescue.
Despite that, the story was really good and suspenseful. Your fav characters probably aren't completely safe, I'M JUST SAYING! The author managed to capture the tension of racing so well, will they crash or won't they, will they make it out alive or not? You'll have to read and see.
It's a very fast paced read as well, fitting for the sport. There's enough character development to keep you wanting to read more about them, and we may have been teased about who the next book will follow in the epilogue. I was actually assuming the other female character would get her turn first, but I'm not upset at this turn of events.
The romance worked for me more with one brother than the other, just because we got to know Sayshen a lot better than we did Talon, so I was able to connect with him more, while Talon was off being a sour wolf in the background. I like him, but I wish it hadn't taken him so long to realise how he was feeling.

This is my favourite book by this author so far, out of three I read (one on her other pen name), it features a biker found family that I can't wait to see more of in future books. In this one we follow two of them who fall for the same girl and are ready to protect her with their lives.
Sayshen has been obsessed with Bexley since high school, and that obsession never went away, only came back stronger when he ran into her years later. I loved how protective he was of her, after seeing the evidence of how Christian was treating her.
Both he and his brother Talon helped Bex leave her abusive relationship, and their friends welcomed her into their group with open arms which was so nice to see.
With that said, I do think Bex recovered from her abuse in record time. It's a shorter read so I get there's not enough room to explore everything, but she seemed almost fully recovered by the time she and Sayshen got together, which was only a few days after her rescue.
Despite that, the story was really good and suspenseful. Your fav characters probably aren't completely safe, I'M JUST SAYING! The author managed to capture the tension of racing so well, will they crash or won't they, will they make it out alive or not? You'll have to read and see.
It's a very fast paced read as well, fitting for the sport. There's enough character development to keep you wanting to read more about them, and we may have been teased about who the next book will follow in the epilogue. I was actually assuming the other female character would get her turn first, but I'm not upset at this turn of events.
The romance worked for me more with one brother than the other, just because we got to know Sayshen a lot better than we did Talon, so I was able to connect with him more, while Talon was off being a sour wolf in the background. I like him, but I wish it hadn't taken him so long to realise how he was feeling.

Clearly I’m in the minority judging by the reviews but this book could have been so much better. This book was lacking everything I expected from it.
It was meh at best. Firstly, the spice is not spicing - for a book advertised and described by other reviewers as smoking hot, I’ve read one sex scene and two blowjobs by 69%. All we’ve had from Talon is a bit of voyeurism.
There are tons of spelling mistakes and errors which I find really off-putting. The FMC is odd, like I’m sorry but who goes from a domestically abusive relationship to a few days later pining for and fucking the boy who loved her in high school, but she hated!!
I don’t get it, I couldn’t vibe with the characters at all. There was no depth, just like oh he actually really does love me, kiss me fuck me. Literally all in the same breath. I need a bit more than that. I really wanted to love this too, which I why I kept going to 69% 😂
Also I thought this book was waaaaay too over descriptive for example (one of many): his hood is pulled up over his head to shade his buzz cut from the radiating sun. He pulls off his thick black Oakley sunglasses and hangs them on the collar of the oversized tee he has on underneath as he flips through the pages.
Is it just me ahaha I couldn’t look past it. I really did want to love this book.
Also and this is petty but I can’t vibe with the name Sayshen Shaw - it’s feels too much like he sells seashells 😂🤦🏻♀️

For all the booktok girlies that wanna know if the biketok guys can run through a plot faster than a bike? They can.
Is it just me, or did this plot have some serious gaps in it? a LOT happened, but nothing was thoroughly explained, now if this is some “read between the lines” bullshit, I’m clearly confused. Not a terrible story, HOWEVER I feel like I need to point out a couple things for the people, (I’m people)
1. Sayshen arguing with Talon on multiple occasions by saying “I see the way you look at her, we all do” after Talon met her one time, & I’m positive the first time Sayshen said this Talon had spent 30 minutes in Bex’s vicinity.
2. Sayshen telling Talon he knows he has feelings for Bex, AGAIN he has known her for like 3 days by now???
3. Cruz being tossed around the tarmac like a ragdoll (that entire scene went 0-60 in 2 seconds, I didn’t even have time to process what I was reading - not necessary to my point but I digress)
4. Daddy Shaw popping up out of no where & hitting us with “Bexley. I have heard alot about you, from the team, and my sons. I know I may not be around much, but just know I do see what you’ve done for both my boys, and I want you to know I am thankful for it—even if I don’t show it. You’re a Demon now, don’t ever forget that.” with all due respect SIR, how and when would they have had the time, & again I’m pretty sure it’s only been a WEEK since Bex has been in their lives, so what are you seeing that I’m clearly not. Not to mention that was your only appearance in the entire book, pop off Houdini.
Are y’all picking up what I am putting down? Maybe I’m being cynical but it’s like watching a movie only you keep getting distracted or you walk away from the tv so you miss all the little details only for you to return when shit hits the fan.
“You’re ours, Bex,” Sayshen explains, breaking the silence. “Fucking ours.”
“Forever,” Talon adds, and a smile forms on my lips. Theirs, forever? I think I can live with that.
aside from my little rant - the spice in this book was undoubtedly steamy but I’d consider it more like really good foreplay at best, it was heady and addicting. So the fact that I gave this story a 2.5⭐️ rating is a little sad, but idk the plot just didn’t do it for me, I just wasn’t vibing with it

I loved everything about Apex! This was my first Nova Kane read and it was an absolute 5 🌟 all around. I'll definitely be reading anything she puts out.
I love books where you can relate to the characters and Bexley, fuckk, I could relate to her character 100%. The shit she went through was heartbreaking but luckily she had the shaw brothers there to pick up the pieces. And they delivered ten fold.

• First off, not me sliding into Novas DMs and being like excuse me, you made me cry. I RARELY cry from a book. But this one made me. This book had me in the feels. I was so invested. And I devoured it.
• Second. Absolutely OBSESSED with every single one of the characters. It wasn’t even just the MCs. Nova makes you fall in love with the whole team too. That being said. Bex, the FMC. I adore her. You meet her and she’s going through a super abusive relationship. Which I can personally relate to from a past situation. So it hits home. (Christian can go play with starving sharks.) sorry got off track for a second.. but she comes out of it and it’s amazing to watch her growth and progression. And our guys, Sayshen and Talon, the Shaw brothers 😉 swoon. So protective. 𝕊𝕙𝕖’𝕤 𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕤. Ugh, fricken love them so much. Different and yet similar. Love them both. Sayshen had loved Bex since high school, but when it comes to Talon it’s a whole other situation.
• This story is so good, I cannot wait to have this book on my shelf. I highly recommend it. Do it, you will NOT regret it. Such an easy read, tough at times, which makes it even better in my opinion. The story just flowed and it kept you captivated the whole time, with the characters and the storyline. Y'all!! I am not getting over this book any time freaking soon! As soon as I finished devouring this book, I could tell right away that its going to keep me in a chokehold for a while. Novas writing just drew me in for all the characters right away, I could not put this book down, if I didn't have to sleep or be an adult I would have finished this in a day. I absolutely loved Sayshen and Talon, don't get me wrong Talon has his moment where he might make you a little mad but he more than makes up for ;) And I adored Bexley as well, she was sweet, badass and took no shit and I'm so glad after everything she had to deal with she got her happy ending with our boys. The found family vibes, the spice, tension and the banter are all freaking chefs kiss. I'm so excited to see more from Spped Demons. This book is one hell of a rollercoaster of emotions, and then just when you think you are safe, BAM! Nova was throwing something else at you, and just shoving you right back on that ride lol.

I was expecting to have a silly little good time with this book (which I definitely did) but what I wasn’t expecting was all the emotions that came with it😭😭
I was smiling, giggling, crying, MY HEART WAS RACING like 20% of this books because there was some high stress situations. But fuck was that story good as hell.
I loved the pacing, it was that sweet spot of moving quick but not feeling rushed. I felt like this told a complete story and I was SO invested. And let me just tell ya, Nova can write some spiceeeee😮💨. The Shaw brothers are the duo that everyone needs and that I would kill to be in between🧎🏼♀️ I loved the golden retriever energy from Sayshen and the black cat energy from Talon( at first )
I ate this book up and I can’t wait to see where this story goes

To say it’s the first book of the Full Send series! I loved the side characters so much, one big found family. We’re gonna be so blessed and our hearts will shatter more, I’m afraid.

Apex is a fast-paced taboo dark racing romance
I will try to explain how I felt about this book and I aim to write a fair and constructive critique.
Unfortunately, for me, it falls short of its ambitions due to several flaws.
The narrative unfolds at a breakneck pace, leaving not much room for more meaningful character development or narrative depth. There is frequent repetition of phrases and motifs, which detracted me from the overall coherence of the plot (Sayshen is a « fuckboy », they « share », some classics dark romance elements are dropped out of nowhere). As a non-native English speaker, English is my second language, when I notice these repetition, it can be disruptive.
**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**
The inconsistent push-and-pull behavior of Talon, characterized by frequent shifts between hot and cold attitudes during many full chapters, frustrated me due to its lack of deep foundation.
Despite the potential for rich character development, they seem to me underdeveloped and one-dimensional. Bexley undergoes a rapid recovery from 4 years of abuse (a few nightmares and 4 days after, she falls for someone else), which strains in my opinion, credibility and diminishes the emotional impact of her journey. Similarly, the male leads, Sayshen and Talon, are portrayed as predictable stereotypes, I wanted them to be more in a meaningful level.
I was a bit shocked by 2 MMCs (22 and 27) who aren’t aware of protection from STDs and birth control (no condom, no birth control conversation before). The sentence « I didn’t thought about that » made me really uneasy 😳
For professional racers, it was disturbing that they didn’t care about their hands and the dramatic events in the book normally prevent from any competition for months.
The casual depiction of abusive behavior and the objectification of the FMC also bothered me: she never had word to say when she should be in a safe place - she was a property of someone evil and suddenly she is the property of two guys.
I get that spice is important in the genre but It's difficult to connect with a 22-year-old FMC who has been subjected to violence for years (all her adult life) and who seems completely liberated in her sexuality to the extent of having relationships with two brothers without question or moral confusion. Yes it’s taboo but I think it lacks of consistencies.

In summary, for me, this story fails to deliver on its promise of a compelling dark romance set against the backdrop of the racing world. While the premise of Apex holds potential (the playlist is really good and well organized, a lot of ideas are clever and plots are interesting), its execution falls short of expectations, leaving me longing for a more cohesive and emotionally resonant narrative.
The story ends on a cliffhanger.

Nova is one of those writers that grips you completely. I had the absolute pleasure (in my opinion) of being part of her beta team and seeing the process she went through. Apex is a story about a broken woman and two men that want to save her in every way possible. As an author, she manages to pack so much information within her book, so much detailing and character information, that you feel as though you have read a novel. Which only a few authors are able to achieve.
The humour that Nova produces within her books is unmatched and such an enjoyable ride. Each character within this book is so well written that I felt like I’d known them personally, even the side characters. The Full Send Series is going to be something people can’t get out of their minds.
I’m still reeling from that ending and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. An absolute 5 star read for me.

I’m still reeling from that ending and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. An absolute 5 star read for me.

I loved this book! It was a really fun, fast, emotional, and spicy read! the beginning of the story was tough though and I felt so so bad for Bex.. she is a great fmc and I loved watching her gain back her confidence and happiness. Sayshen and Talon are AMAZING. whew. what’s better than 1 biker boy? 2 biker brothers! Sayshen is the golden retriever and obsessed since high school mmc.. talon is the slow burn, kind of “hate to want you” type mmc.. mix them both together? the perfect team. bex is a lucky girl! The story overall was good and I love how the whole biker team really just felt like a family and everyone was willing to do anything to keep each other safe.. they all have a great bond and I’m very excited for book 2 to see how everything else continues in this world!

I love Nova’s writing style so much. This story was so fucking good and delicious. MFM with biker brothers? Say less. I love the relationship dynamic between Sayshen, Talon and Bexley so much. I love the team and their relationship 😭 I can’t wait for more from this series.

When I tell ya I ate this book upppp! I loved it. It’s a little heavy so make sure to check your trigger warnings. I feel like this book was so beautifully crafted. The way it pulled at your heart and put you back together was just amazing. I fell for the main characters. Baby Shaw had my heart and then older Shaw came in and stoled it. Older Shaw made it hard to love him in the beginning but once you get to know him, he is loveable. Bex pulled at me. I love her fire and I’m glad she remembered who she was. Of course with the help of the Shaw brothers. Even the side characters were sooo good. I love their little family. Reading about the speed demons, your heart just feels so full. I liked the build up and banter between the characters. The spice and cute flirty comments were everything. The way the story kept getting better and better! Some scenes had me on the edge of my seat and some had me kicking my feet. I literally love them! 😍 I can’t wait for the next book!!

Bexley Larsen was the girl that shined bright, stood up for herself and had dreams. Until she got mixed up with the wrong guy and was trapped in an abusive relationship.
Sayshen Shaw has pined for Bex since the day he saw her but she never gave into the attraction. Sayshen was a biker with a manwhore reputation and she wanted no part in that. But Sayshen’s obsession and love for Bex never burned out and years later he steps in when he realizes the hell she’s been living in.
Sayshen’s brother Talon is not pleased with the new development but he too is attracted to Bex and doesn’t want to admit it. These two brothers have a lot to work through to keep Bex safe and have their own HEA. A LOT.
This story was pretty heavy. There’s death of a best friend, an abusive boyfriend and general violence. You have to suspend belief because there’s no way any normal person would have gone from a traumatic relationship to another relationship that quickly. That aside, the steam was steaming.
The introduction of Talon to their relationship felt a little strange because he was so hot and cold. Quite honestly an asshole of epic proportions at times. For someone just getting out of an abusive relationship he was waving major red flags. Buttttt I also didn’t hate him and he did protect what was his in his own ways.
Bex was a good character and I liked her strength and grit. Sayshen was caring and kind and had a filthy mouth just like his brother. Decently developed characters!
Apex was a biker book with attitude (I mean who can resist a biker boy) and plenty of action and steam. I enjoyed it and look forward to more stories in this world.

Throughout high school, Sayshen has always been a fuck boy, only ever adding another notch to his belt. But Bexley was different, he wanted her, he needed her and she consistently rejected him. She refused to be another one of his girls. Five years after they left high school, Sayshen unexpectedly runs into Bex at a local coffee shop. He was instantly reminded of his obsession with her, but when he sees her covered in bruises he will do anything, including sacrificing racing to help her escape her abuser.
So I’m in love with Sayshen. The “who did this to you” trope in chapter one instantly had me drooling. His dedication and loyalty to Bex is unwavering and he will do anything and everything for her. He is determined to help her heal and recover from her abuse. & the spice, the spice was hawwwwt.
The only reason I docked .25 stars is because I didn’t feel the connection between Bex and another character. It felt too quick and forced to me. But Bex & Sayshen were absolutely perfect together.

I absolutely devoured this book, lost sleep trying to read “one more chapter”, had my feelings hurt numerous times, and loved every minute of it. 👏🏼👏🏼 Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, each chapter showed me differently. Bexley, Shayshen, and Talon were perfect for each other. I completely melted with how hard Shayshen tried to be with Bex for YEARS. Bex finally gave him his chance and oh my gosh it was EVERYTHING and then Talon came into the picture, and well 2 brothers just do it for me 🤤 Then came the ending leaving me absolutely speechless … I NEED MORE ASAP and can’t wait for that to happen!!! 4.5 stars on this book! I was so excited to see this book finally drop into my email after much anticipation and hype! And I knew I'd be devouring it as soon as I read the dedication! I loved seeing Bexley transform back into her strong and confident self. And the way Baby Shaw is so sweet and loving just made my heart melt - I couldn't get enough of him. And then there's Talon, who's grumpy but obsessed with protecting her too. Does it get any better than the combo of them both?!?
I also was obsessed with the entire Demons family and love how fiercely they will fight for each other. I could not get enough of all of them!

June 14, 2024Ever since I read À La Folie, I knew I’d be an absolute simp for Nova Kane and read whatever she deems to throw my way. Cue Apex, a joyride through Florida filled with pain and hope and a pair of smoldering Shaw brothers— that like to share— to keep you company. I mean, what more could you possibly ask for?
Full disclosure, this is *not* a genre I usually choose to indulge in, but if you’re into biker romance, this is probably going to tick all your boxes.
Stripping this down to its core, this book is about family (both blood and not) and healing and self-discovery with a hefty dose of vengeance on the side. We begin this story down in the dirt alongside Bexley as she battles her demons given breath by abuse. As the story continues, we’re taken on a rollercoaster ride to recovery as she embraces different kinds of (Speed) Demons. But just as the sun crests the horizon, heartbreak threatens to deliver her back into darkness.
I really loved the concept of this book, a focus on knights in shining armor aiming to heal a broken soul, only to find solace amongst the jagged pieces. I only wished the character development was a bit more in depth for me to truly *believe* it all. However, the villain is truly villainous, and surprisingly one I couldn’t root for (shocking, I know).
And the spice, oh, lordt. Talon, Talon, Talon…you dirty boy.
All in all, I had a good time with this book. While the narrative did feel a bit rushed at times, I was blissfully along for the ride. If you’re looking for an angsty romance to devour, you can easily do so with this one!

Bro literally first off what the fuck was that ending but overall what was this book. I feel like I’m one of the few that didn’t completely adore this book, like it was decent but the spice, banter, and description were cringey and overwhelming at times… it kinda felt all over the place and very rushed. Not sure if I’ll read the second one? I also feel as if I didn’t have enough time to fall for the characters (maybe Talon if I had to pick one) although I will say a specific scene in the book did have me emotional! I feel like I couldn’t connect/empathize for the FMC because of things that happened in the book, I didn’t even have time to process anything nor did she it seems like.

I don’t like how they never addressed her parents? Maybe I’m thinking too deep but you’re telling me she literally got PHYSICALLY abused and her new boyfriends killed her ex during self defense and her parents didn’t see that on the news, old friends that ditched her because her parents dropped her financially for pursing her dreams didn’t call, nobody seemed to check on her? Idk it’s very odd to me.

I was pretty disappointed in this, ngl. I REALLY wanted to love it, but everything felt rushed and forced. I feel like we didn’t get to really feel any of Bex’s true emotions bc the story was more focused on her relationships with the Shaw brothers. She just went through a great deal of physical and emotional abuse for FOUR YEARS! But instead of showing any of her emotional recovery and healing, it just goes straight into her being back to normal and in love.
None of the story felt real. It was apparent that this was a piece of fiction, and ultimately I think that’s why I had a hard time getting into the story.
Also, this could’ve really used another round of edits. I found a ton of grammatical errors and plot holes. Usually that would be a dealbreaker for me and would warrant an automatic DNF, but bc this is written by an indie author, I was really trying to look past it in case the content was good.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the plot and the idea is really good! Unfortunately, for me at least, I feel like the execution was flawed.

There was so much hype around Apex and for good reason. I haven’t read many biker romances and now I need more, it’s an adrenaline rush. Sayshen has been obsessed with bed since high school, never the one to back down from a challenge it always kept hm wanting more and now it seems like his brother also wants more of her. I loved the family dynamic within the Speed Demons, they all come from different places and create a strong bond over racing. I also enjoyed watching Bex’s character growth, she gave such a raw and relatable vibe to her situation and I’m just glad the Shaw brothers came into play. There is one scene that just lives rent free in my mind and without spoiling it deals with both Shaw brother’s. I recommend this if you are wanting to laugh, scream, CRY and watch some brothers in action 😈

DNF @ 63 in, chapter 19
I feel like I was reading an entirely different book. I don't understand how it has gotten so many 5 & 4 star reviews.
- The book and the writing itself just came off very immature. The characters have no depth or personalities.
- All the brand name dropping in Bexley's first couple of chapters was annoying-af and unnecessary.
- The never-ending Baby Shaw's were super annoying.
- The steam was low-level porn with bad acting. For me, it was just words on page. It did absolutely nothing for me, and the dirty talk was cringey.
- Chapter 17 in Bexley's pov describing what she, Cece, and Lena are wearing to Cruz's remembrance was so out of place and honestly who gives a fuck. Also having Cruz die made no sense considering the type of book this was.
- The first kind of group scene was tacking and cringey.
