Zeen, Lula, and their team are looking for allies to join the battle against the dastardly Nihil. Their search leads them to an audience with the Founding Families of Eriadu. 3,5/5!
The Nihil have claimed Eriadu and made it a part of their Occlusion Zone. The Jedi, accompanied by their ally Sevran Tarkin, attempt to talk sense into the Tarkin family's rulers and find a way to fight the Nihil threat.
This issue was mostly okay. It had some fun stuff, like Lula and Zeen being a cute engaged couple, Lula roasting Emerick about how Sian is clearly his girlfriend no matter how hard he claims otherwise and Sevran being so utterly fed up with her stupid family, but mostly it felt like a prelude or a prologue, not a story on its own.
I'm also not super interested in Eriadu's politics or the Tarkin family – to be honest, when I began this issue I did not even remember who Sevran was or when she was introduced – so naturally all the drama with her uncle being a dick and trying to convince people of his agenda in slightly shady ways didn't hit me all that hard. I am all for SW having political storylines, but this specific instance of it is just not - at least thus far - my cup of tea.
I am still excited to see what's coming next, because overall I do love this series and I am ready storylines that might be, in my opinion, on the weaker side, because I love the main characters so much. I will read anything with Lula, Zeen, Qort and Farzala in it. Those kids have been at the center of my THR experience from the very beginning and they mean so much to me.
