There are days when there is no way around life's challenges. When even the tried and tested distractions from distractions no longer help, it is time to face things. After her soulful examination of the inner workings of stones in "Stones" and her meditation on fear in "Panic Totem", Nadine Redlich devotes herself to the struggles of daily existence in "Doing The Work".
Nadine Redlich lives and works as a cartoonist in Düsseldorf. Since the publication of her groundbreaking “Ambient Comics” with Rotopol, she has published many further books. These include the emotional examination of the inner life of “Stones”, the hateful love letter “I Hate You – You Just Don’t Know It Yet” and her meditation on fear in “Paniktotem”. Her latest book, “Doing the Work” is dedicated to the struggles of everyday existence. Nadine Redlich’s cartoons and comics can be found in various media including the New York Times, DIE ZEIT, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frieze Magazine, Le Monde and the Elbphilharmonie Magazine.
I relate so much to many of these. While walking with my husband through the exhibition of these drawings, we couldn't stop giggling like little girls and exclaiming "Me! You!". Very fun!
