Over the last year, the System has continued to remake the world. Jason and his friends have discovered more details about a threat to all of humanity and have a quest to stop it. They continually need to get stronger and do their part to protect their chunk of the world.
While searching for clues, they will revisit allies and make new ones. They will face some hard choices as they encounter people out for themselves, but there will be new friends they can help along the way.
They will discover more of the new world's rules and teach others what they have learned. Their hard work has made them the strongest team they know of, but will it be enough to face an enemy that has been part of the System for ages?
Jason and his friends have more dungeon crawling, exploration, first contact, leveling up, and combat in book three of this LitRPG series.
Story is fun but very slow growth of MC with a lot of support from his team. Very DnD like but with a base builder story focus. There really needs to be more of a meta other than base building to the plot line. There was some mention of visiting other worlds but after three books is still mired in completing a single quest to improve their home base hamlet into a village. I have a pet peeve when the Author does not bother to list treasure received bc it takes time and effort. He avoids anything that might shift the balance of power in favor of the MC and his team. The fights are hard to determine just how quickly there are gaining experience points to level up… sometimes it doesn’t seem like anything is happening. However, we all know he will keep all of them alive to the next book so it makes the fights less interesting. There is too much trading to build activity. The many times… Sarah creates the stone blocks and the other girl makes the wooden boards at every small step in the journey… it gets very monotonous. But the Author really likes base building. So if you enjoy a base building story, this story is for you.
Get ready to defend the world alongside Jason and his troupe! This book has action-packed adventure, exploration, and more insight into the mysterious System. It felt like I was right there alongside Jason as he fought to defend Earth. It got me thinking how I would've fared if the System was real! I'm stoked to see where this series goes, and am excited to see where Jason and his friends go next!!!
Excellent continuation of the Series. Justin continues to deliver on the exciting post apocalyptic series.
Sometimes authors over do it. I think Justin brings a great mix of action and adventure while including the rest that is required by any person going through this process.
The world keeps expanding and growing to reveal a broader depth of what is included in this new system.
Even though it's the last book The Way It Ends it makes it seem like there could be more if he wants to. I'm not very good at math so I don't really get all the technicalities with the damage and stuff it makes no sense to how long it takes such a long time to kill one thing
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your writing. The story is well balanced with time fighting, travel, meeting other people, leveling, and so much more. There is no way to get bored, in fact it’s hard to put it down. Hope you are enjoying writing in the series as we are reading it.. will be looking forward for the next book.
It is amazing this group who so compassionately suppresses their own settlements growth has not been killed by their own town and finally removed for humanity’s sake.
