Very thankful to have used this as a basis for a presentation I gave to my fellow MS and HS librarians! So informative with resources at the end of each chapter; the authors touch on just about every point I needed barring a section on why manga are rated the way they are; and the recommendation list was a beautiful basis for my own spreadsheet.

Manga is an under-utilized resource at many school libraries and this lovely resource helped me put into words why they need to be accessible so badly.

If you are a librarian looking to build a culture of reading, but are scared of delving into the sometimes strange and difficult-to-tell-if-it's-appropriate-or-not world of manga, this is the resource for you -- even if it's just the tip of the iceberg for getting started.

Since my art is in this book, not only do I feel I need to write a review: but I want to say it's truly amazing how Librarians can connect all different interests to life and be helpful in school. I love manga/anime, and I was honored to have my pieces in this book. The amazing resources and thoughtful, provoking ideas that are in the book, are from all these amazing librarians who want nothing more than the best for their students.

Really excellent overview of manga for school libraries and schools. Includes basics on how to start collecting manga, series to purchase, how to organize clubs, and lesson plans. Took away some tips for myself.
