3.5 Stars. Nothing crazy from this volume. I am beginning to suspect that before this series is over either through this spin-off or a main line entry Saikawa will discover that Kanna is a dragon. All in all a decent volume has to be expected from this spinoff.
More of a 3.5 star rating; This is still a very adorable series and I really liked the chapter(s) seeing Kanna interacting with Saikawa’s older sister: Georgie. Despite how close Kanna is with Saikawa, we barely see her interacting with Georgie since the older girl is a side-borderline-minor character to the overall plot; so this was a pleasant surprise. I also really liked seeing Kanna interacting with her classmates in certain chapters, especially the more otaku classmate. Something else that surprised me was my favorite chapter, the chapter where the Kobayashi family meet with Lucoa at the Summer Festival for other-worldly beings. Aside from it showing off some really cool character designs, it raised the question of when Saikawa will be allowed to know of Kanna (and others) being a dragon and what that could mean for their dynamic. I know this is much more of a slice of slide and episodic manga series but, I hope that gets brought up again since it’d be fascinating to put a bit more focus on.

this volume was also great! kanna & saikawa's relationship is really growing deeper and less one-sided, which is very lovely to see, but she also got a lot of lovely times with her found family! i can always trust this series to put a smile on my face with its wholesome fluffiness.
