I like learning the background of Yumekos upbringing and now I know why shes on a boat

yumeko wins the gamble against her aunt in souko's stead but ultimately loses to kabura tsuibami, who takes posession of yumeko as a result and refuses to let souko ever see her again in order to nurture yumeko's gambling abilities; kirari momobami is approached by the guardians society - the alumni society - who funded her campaign and is asked to leave but instead orchestrates a gamble wherein seven new members of the student council are elected

The ending of Yumeko's backstory is insanely interesting but it manages to keep Kakegurui at its best: always leaving something to be revealed later.

I am going to trust the series, because knowing where this goes right after the ending of the Student Council President Election, I know shit is just getting better.
