A dating guide - with bite! For fans of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and all things supernatural comes a self-help guide you can really sink your teeth in to.
Dating isn't always easy, especially when your crush is a night owl, suspiciously knowledgable at history (it's like they lived through it!) and likes their steak on the bloodier side.
You might already have an intense connection (move over Bella and Edward) or perhaps you're still in your enemies-to-lovers era (Buffy and Spike, who?), but getting past that 'I like you' moment is proving tricky. Enter Crimson Angel Mercy, the supernatural agony aunt, who will spare you the agony as you dip your toe in the dating pool. In The Love Languages of Vampires, Crimson will show you how to dodge the red flags, move on from serial ghosters and spot the bloodsuckers before you fall in love at first bite. Discover the five love languages that are essential to a happy relationship and find out who is right for you (spoiler it's sometimes choosing yourself!).
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc in exchange of an honest review.
This was a fun guide to dating and learning about love languages!! I know this would appeal to the target audience because I feel like these books are a rite of passage in a way. I remember having a similar one that was themed around the series W.I.T.C.H. but the spooky theming of this was brilliant and did not slip once! Not only does it promote respect and clear boundaries and approach crushes and romance with care, it also does it in such a fun and relatable way that so many are looking for at that age.
I adored the interactive elements of the quizzes and would you rathers and can definitely see myself at a younger age answering these with my friends. In all honesty I still enjoyed it now!
It stayed completely and fangtastically on theme throughout. For teen me who was and still is obsessed with vampires and all things spooky as well as being a hopeless romantic (hello Libra Sun and Scorpio Venus) I could definitely sink my fangs into this.
