I was just another girl waiting for my sixteenth birthday, until my paranormal powers awakened.
I had the ability to see the mysterious, ethereal Faders, invisible to most. They look like humans but vanish into mist, and there’s nothing human about the things they do. I’ll never know why my father hid this world from me, because one of those monsters killed him.
But the Faders have an enemy; my new friends at Hilltop Academy. They took me in to protect me, train me and study me. Like all the students, I have the Sight and can see the Faders. But I have an extra ability. I can shoot lightning from my hands. It’s impressive, I just can’t control it.
Right now I’m only a threat to nearby appliances, but as soon as I learn to direct it, I’m going to dump 50,000 volts into any Faders I can find.
Read THE FADERS now if you like determined heroines, paranormal powers and jaw-dropping twists. E. G. Bateman’s exciting coming-of-age adventure, The Faders, is a completed YA urban fantasy trilogy.
Vivid details, human superabilities, espionage, and more fill the pages narrated by Jenna. I enjoyed watching the natural progression of Jenna's awakening. Her friends become family and the unpredictable plot builds suspense from the first page. This trilogy encompasses the faders and their battle against Agents. The character development was beyond amazing. especislly with the relatable reactions of each person. Due to the violence, I suggest this book would be enjoyed to young adult readers that enjoy fantasy action stories.
Wasn't sure what to expect from this story. So glad I took the chance. So many twist and turns but very easy to follow along. Many nights I found myself reading into the wee hours of the night. Hard to close the book and go to bed. Very engrossing. Thank you E.G. Bateman for the wonderful journey. I want more.
Fabulous because i was engaged throughout, not for a second was i bored. Different because initially I expected a boring 3 sets of friends pairing off romance with a bit if science fiction/fantasy. It was so much more. I was worried, excited, cringing, happy, sad, thrilled, enraged, horrified and at the end satisfied. Very. More faders please.
This was a satisfying (900 kindle pages long) battle of good versus evil. Friends with different strengths have to work together to topple the corruption set on destroying them. Make sure to get some snacks and comfy clothes while reading this exciting trilogy. I stayed up way past what I intended because I had to know what happened next.
I very much enjoyed this series, it has it all. Bad guys that you really dislike, gray characters that you come to love, quirky main characters, and lots of action and emotional ups and downs. The world building was great and I would so love to have Jenna's powers when she was possessed. Looking forward to more books by this author.
Couldn't put this trilogy down. It was written well and has a great story line. It was advertised for teenagers but unlike some books it was good for adults.
I started reading it and couldn't stop. I love syfy and this hit the spot. It wasn't a mushy romance but it had moments. It was a clean, good read and I enjoyed it!
This trilogy was stupendous. It was so exciting to venture into faders and trackers. It was put together so well I couldn't put the book down till the, end.
