I received a free copy of this book to review from MX Publishing.

I am extremely partial to a good Sherlock Holmes short story, and all the stories in this collection are not just good Sherlock Holmes stories, but excellent ones.

Denis O. Smith has a deft touch with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's characters, creating believable actions and reactions.

Usually I select a favourite story or two, but all five of the stories are of such high calibre that I cannot chose between them.

Highly recommended.

I was delighted with these stories. At first, I was afraid I had already listened to the first story, as it is a popular theme in this genre that I dearly love. I am beyond delighted that I had not, and, of course, this was a completely new, and surprising, story. Holmes and Watson are just the way that I like them, intelligent, thoughtful, methodical. The narration by Kevin E Green just adds to the whole package and makes it all perfect. I am going to have to go back and listen to all the other titles I have by Mr Denis O Smith, and hope that he can write faster.

There’s many small details in Sherlock Holmes pastiche stories that make them feel authentic and for me, Denis O Smith nails them all. Each one of these tales was satisfying in it’s set up and execution and felt totally genuine to the Doyle canon. This author has instantly become a go to for high quality Sherlock Holmes stories.

Received a free copy of the audio edition in exchange for a review.

Really enjoyed reading this collection of 5 Sherlock Holmes stories. The writer has really captured the style and language of Conan Doyle and the atmosphere created feels very authentic. The stories take Holmes and Watson from London to Gloucestershire and even up to Scotland to solve complicated and intriguing mysteries. All in all, very well written, very enjoyable and highly recommended.

A few of the stories Of Sherlock Homes and Doctor Watson seem similar to other stories, but the logic is different and sometimes attempts to throw the reader off, hang on it’s well worth it by the end. Loved Them!!!

a Good Read

I enjoyed reading these stories because I really like a good quick mystery. I”m not sure I liked that the stories did not seem as closely written in true Conan Doyle style.

This book was not written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but it was amazing that it was still in his style. I loved it.
