A fun lighthearted book following Gilbert and his quest to win a surfing competition. Lessons to be learnt in a fun way. Pages are sparse with sketch illustrations to highlight the story and increase interest. The sparse layout is great for younger/learning/difficult readers as won’t put them off by a large chunk of text that can be daunting and want to quit before even beginning.

Definitely a series for your library if your kids enjoy Anh Do Hot Dog etc.

Cute and easy story to read. Storyline was quite good. I also loved the illustrations.
