FROM POPULAR ROMANCE AUTHOR HANNAH MURRAY

An Oh, Baby! story

He wants to give her everything she wants—and what she wants is a baby.

Sam and Collette have a wonderful life—and hella kinky love life. As a service-oriented submissive, nothing gives Sam more pleasure than giving his Domme everything she asks of him…and nothing makes Collette happier than coming up with fun and kinky things to ask for.

But her most recent request isn’t a kinky one—she wants a baby.

Sam’s enthusiastically on board, with one condition—he wants to get married first.

Collette isn’t opposed to marriage, though it feels strange to be considering it only because a baby might be on the way. Plus, there’s the way Sam proposed—by listing all the legal and societal protections that marriage provides for kids. But while the proposal was less than romantic, it’s clearly important to Sam. So they make a deal—if Collette gets pregnant, they’ll get married.

Deal in place, they turn their attention to baby making—a process that Collette makes as kinky as possible to offset the pressure of trying to conceive. But while they’re having fun, the uncertainty of the future weighs on them both.

Will their happily ever after include both a wedding and a baby—or neither?

Hannah has been reading romance novels since she was young enough to have to hide them from her mother, and decided to try her hand at writing one when she realized the book she really wanted to read lived in her head. That was a dozen years and as many manuscripts ago, and there are still more stories to be told.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband—former Special Forces and an OR nurse who writes fantasy fiction, and acts as In House Expert for his wife on matters pertaining to weapons, tactics, the military, medical conditions and How Dudes Think—and their daughter, who takes after her father.

Hannah loves to hear from readers, and will answer questions here on Goodreads.

Book was well written ...but for some reason the story didn't completely resonant with me. I do like this author and will try them again.

Sam and Collette enjoy a fulfilling and adventurous relationship, especially in their intimate life, where Sam takes joy in fulfilling Collette's desires as her submissive. When Collette expresses her wish to have a baby, Sam eagerly agrees but insists on marrying first. Collette, though not opposed to marriage, feels conflicted about the timing and the practical reasons behind Sam's proposal. They strike a deal: if Collette becomes pregnant, they will marry.

As they focus on trying to conceive, Collette introduces kinkiness into their efforts to alleviate the pressure. However, despite their fun approach, uncertainty about their future together looms large.

"In Her Service," the concluding volume of the Perfect Taboo series, reintroduces readers to beloved characters, with a particular focus on Collette and Sam, a couple firmly entrenched in their commitment to one another. In Her Service by Hannah Murray
Perfect Taboo #7

Interesting, intriguing, and informative look at a committed D/s couple that have some big decisions to make in this book.

What I liked:
* Sam: works in the emergency room, submissive, in a committed relationship, wants to please and care for his domme, good friend, loves Collette
* Collette: university professor, domme, keeps her sub’s needs and tolerance in mind, strong, caring, wants to have a baby, loves Sam
* The look into the relationship between Sam and Collete and learning more about the D/s relationship and how it might work
* The Whine Wednesday group of subs that meet regularly – it would no doubt be a safe supportive place for all of them to spend time
* The respect the author gave to the characters and her ability to make them real and relatable
* That I felt the love and respect flowing between Sam and Collete and knew that they wanted to please and provide what the other wanted and needed from their partner
* That the story made me think and wonder and feel I was there – I grew to care for the characters and hoped they would both get what they wanted at the end of the book

What I didn’t like:
* I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

DNF @ 38%

I want to start by saying I DNF for personal reasons – I’ve read this author before and I love her writing and how she handles kink in general. It’s so sensitively and carefully done, with effort taken to show it realistically, and I found that here in the part of the book I did read. I really liked the plot and I thought the dynamic between Sam and Collette was very sweet. He, in particular, was an adorable character, and I loved their relationship as it was presented.

However, I personally did not enjoy some of the kinks that featured in this book, which is not the book or the author’s fault. I should have read the content advisory more clearly. For that reason I stopped reading the book. I want to say, though, that what I did read was a perfectly lovely romance and I thought their relationship was lovely. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a free copy of this book.

Content Notes: Established relationship, BDSM, trying for a baby.

Other: Please note, as I DNF this list is not exhaustive. .

In Her Service, written by Hannah Murray, is the latest title in the Oh, Baby series. This is a BDSM lifestyle title.

Format: NetGalley ebook
Genre: Romance
Spice level:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Sam (MMC)⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service submissive, Nurse

Collette (FMC)⭐️⭐️⭐️
Domme, Professor

This is a short story that features the characters of Sam and Collette. They have been in a committed relationship for many years now, living very happily with each other and their lifestyle.

Now that Collette is nearing the age of 40 she has decided that she wants to have a baby. When she tells Sam about her decision he immediately tells her that they need to get married for legality reasons. 😬

Together they have to figure what works best for them individually, while still maintaining a healthy and happy marriage.

Overall, the story was cute, just not for me. Since I have not read any of the other titles in this series I was a little lost with all of the other characters. I did enjoy the submissive meetups that were held a couple of times throughout the book!

Overall score:⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title.

The story is about the intimate and complex relationship between Domme Collette and her submissive Sam as they navigate the prospect of starting a family.
Their story is a refreshing blend of romance, kink, and the realities of planning for a future together.

What I liked: All the characters in this story were great. Collette and Sam are portrayed with depth, their relationship depicted with authenticity and warmth. I have never read a book with a Domme before but it was so well written I didn't feel lost.

What I didn't like: The story was too short! While the characters and their dynamic are compelling, the narrative feels too condensed.

Overall, "In Her Service" is a well-written exploration of love, commitment, and navigating desires within the framework of BDSM. Murray's portrayal of characters and themes is commendable, though readers might crave a deeper dive into the plot.

In Her Service is the final book in the Perfect Taboo series and all the characters from the previous books make appearances. Collette and Sam are already an established couple and we get to accompany them a stretch of the way to their even brighter future as they grow ever closer as a couple while striving for a family of their own. Because of that, I don't consider this a romance in the strictest sense, but it's an entertaining, emotional peek into their day-to-day lives, complete with kinky sexy times, the work that goes into integrating their D/s relationship into their busy schedules and even the doubts that plague them over the way they want the future to play out. I would have loved an extra epilogue showing us how they and the whole group is doing a few years down the road!
I was fortunate to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

In Her Service is a different take on a BDSM story. Murray twists the genre into a story about a female domme and her male service sub. Collette is a college professor and Sam is an ER nurse, both are in their forties. While they have had a successful and satisfying relationship for years, they both want more. Collette wants a baby and Sam wants marriage. The story details how they navigate that new dynamic.

The writing is provocative and irresistible if you are a fan of this genre. The plot is good with lots of spice simmering throughout. Their acts of intimate surrender are written respectfully. I especially enjoyed the supporting characters that were members of the Wednesday Wine and Whine Club. Hilarious! Overall, this book is an emotional, engaging, satisfying, must read.

This story appealed to me because it shows the reader how Sam & Collette negotiate a shift in their relationship. I love character-driven stories & I’ve come to admire the considered & thoughtful communication this author gives her characters. Sam is a submissive to his live in partner Collette, his Domme. They have a fulfilling relationship and the next step for Collette is a child. How to broach this with Sam, the impact on the life they both enjoy, the possible change to their dynamic—all real, relatable issues which are handled with the respect they deserve. Spicy, loving story that left me feeling warm inside. Loved the secondary characters, wish I could join in for Wine & Whine Wednesdays.

I read quite a wide range (and large number) of books, but I haven't really read anything like this before, the combination of the Domme and male service sub as well as some more hardcore elements of BDSM and the storyline in general, I found it unique, spicy and enjoyable

I haven't read any of the previous books in this series, but I easily read this as a standalone - I really enjoyed the friend group and Sadie is hilarious - I will definitely be looking into finding the other books with these friends in them and reading them.

We are back with the loyal, funny, loving group of BDSM Doms and submissives from previous books. This book centers around Collette and Sam but you do get to hear from the others here and there also. Collette and Sam have an amazing partnership filled with love, pain, pleasure and service. They are heading in a good direction for their future together just as they are but have decided to try for a baby. This book gives you front row seats to the emotional roller coaster of their journey. Well written, captivating, and plenty of kinky scenes.

Absolutely brilliant!! I have never read a Domme story like this before. What an amazing author!
Expertly executed, sinfully smutty and thoroughly entertaining! This is a one sitting read that you'll return to time and again. Can't praise it enough!

If you're looking for something different to tantalise your taste buds, this is it! Collette and Sam will provide you with ideas you have never thought of! Even made me want a Sam of my own!.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this ARC.

The book follows Sam and Collette's story and focuses more on their BDSM bedroom activities than anything else. After the couple have been together for many years, Collette decides she would like a baby but Sam has one condition, that if they get pregnant, they get married.

Whilst the book was a short story, I couldn't really get into it, maybe because I hadn't read the rest of the series which centres around the rest of their group.

Well written, unfortunately just wasn't for me

I really need to go back and read the books I’ve missed in this series. This was delightfully sexy and the only book in the series to feature a male sub and a female domme who are already in a committed relationship. The kinks explored were definitely not my particular jam but I liked the established romance and the friend group and the way they communicated with each other about the things they wanted.

ARC from NetGalley, review is all mine, please check author’s website for a list of comprehensive content warnings.

In Her Service was definitely not your usual romance story. It was my first story by Hannah Murray and I will be reading more books in this series for sure. Sam and Collette are in a Dominant/Sub relationship with Sam being the submissive and Collette being the Domme. It was a very complex story with Collette finding she is pregnant and her uncertainty on telling Sam and he will react. Fully committed to each other but Sam wants to get married. I was quickly drawn into this story and I simply couldn't put it down. They were such a great couple you couldn't help but cheer them on.

Thank you netgalley for this arc!

I was very intrigued at the idea of a dominant women and submissive man, and this story did not disappoint! I love the connection between all of the characters, so much insight on a new relationship dynamic. I wish there would have been more pregnancy throughout the book but it was still enjoyable either way! Will definitely be looking forward to see how this series progresses and who’s next on the baby train!

She moves the story fluidly with her detailed and descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read.

Normally I love it when the MMC are dominant so I wanted to read something a bit different. We get to view Sam and Collette's life. I loved their dynamic. Collette being a Dom was absolutely amazing. This is making me want more stories with this relationship dynamic in it! The way they each care about the other and even with them having this realizing that communication is so key to any relationship.

I enjoyed was seeing this couple learn how to navigate a new dynamic in their relationship when Collette decides that she would like to have a baby. She and Sam have a wonderful group of like-minded friends. I took this arc in error, but decided to take the opportunity to read this book from a new-to-me author. While I didn't love it, it was interesting to read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a Domme/sub dynamic and I didn’t know what I was missing. The world that Hannah Murray writes is so lovely where everyone is kink positive with strong found family vibes. It’s so well done. Add on a plot involving marriage and babies took it to another level.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Collette, a domme, and Sam, her sub, are in a very happy, loving relationship. But Collette wants a child, and Sam wants to be married to his domme and the soon-to-be mother of his child. Interesting characters, fast-paced, steamy read. A solid 4 stars from me.

Sam is a submissive who is service oriented. Collette is his Domme. They are also in love. The more inventive their scenes the hotter they are together. However, Collette has asked for something new. She wants a baby. Sam wants marriage though.
How will there new wishes change the dynamic of their relationship.
A hot and steamy read.

Fluffy and kinky is a pairing I'll always love. This book definitely delivered that, and while there was a little angst around the baby and wedding questions everything was resolved pretty easily. This author is one of my faves and I especially love how she writes BDSM and also friend groups. Would have loved to see more of the gang but overall, good close to the series.

Collette and Sam have a great dynamic. Wonderful characters that were easy to become invested in even coming in this late to the series. It was an enjoyable and emotional adventure. Great kink and family elements. I would have loved more on the pregnancy front but still very enjoyable

Bondage and babies.

I really liked the relationship and caring between Sam and Collette. Their careers match their personalities (he’s a nurse, she’s a teacher).

But now, the dynamic is changing from Domme and sun to parents?
