Annoyed

This author repeats almost in every " chapter" that this case is the most baffling over and over . I got so annoyed with the repeating texts I skipped a lot of the book . Also no have read about most cases in this book and I didn't learn anything new.

You know, I wasn't a huge fan of this book. Sometimes I'm in the mood for short stories in the crime or mystery genre, but this book didn't do it for me. The first story was thrilling, but I wish there was more details to the story. Instead of having short chapters, I wish they were a little thicker with more details and more than one account for the events.
I didn't finish this book, but I did read enough of the stories to understand the stories.

I got excited initially because there were a lot of cases I never heard of before. However, the author’s style of citing every case as the “most baffling” and providing nothing more than the circumstances gets boring less than half way through. Each one promises details but beyond family concerns and initial investigation plus emotional impact (which is pretty much the same in every case) none of the chapters scratch beneath the surface. Disappointing.

Very interesting retelling of some cases I hadn't heard of. This book has made me more intrigued in the world of missing people cases. However, there was a lot of repetition of words such as 'perplexing'.
