First off, let me say that I like Tyler and have no issues with him.

However, what's really bothering me about this Ravenhood Legacy order is that we got Dom's book first, which made perfect sense. But now, we're getting Tyler's book right after? Excuse me, but how did we jump from Dom to Tyler while completely skipping Sean's book?

I'm talking about our Sean, the one who's been with us since day one. The Sean who's been Dom's best friend since childhood. The Sean who stood there, frozen, watching Dom covered in blood, yet we never got to see what went through his head because the author skipped right past it! We needed his POV then, and we still need it now. He deserves his own book! ASAP, please and thank you!

The book is a thick one because Larissa deserves every bit of recognition she got. I went in to this with an open mind but an already severed heart due to the loss of General Half Pint. So while I was ready to meet Larissa, I was hesitant because how could she ever compare to Delphine? And the answer is, she can’t and she won’t because there’s nothing to compare. Larissa is a woman of her own category. With her resilience, strength, unmatched loyalty, and the way she handles EVERYTHING thrown her way, she’s the perfect match for Tyler in every way possible and she spends a good amount of her life proving it. This story was the ride of a lifetime, giving me extremely high highs and the lowest of lows. I felt every struggle but I also felt every beautiful moment to the fullest because Kate left no stone unturned. Tyler and Larissa fight to hell and back but no matter what, they persevere. And don’t even get me started on the ending, all I can say is GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK.

(4.25/5) WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?!

🗓️ Pub date: May 26, 2026
🎁 ARC gifted to me by Kensington

The Ravenhood and Legacy series have had me in a chokehold since I started this series back in 2023.

I’ve been practically gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for this book after Severed Heart’s diabolical ending.

Let me start this review by prefacing that this is the darkest of any of the books within both of these series, in my opinion. The themes are severely dark and heavy, and the main characters are horrible to one another—ESPECIALLY, Tyler’s behavior to Larissa. For many, his behavior will be unforgivable, and I completely understand that stance. If you’re uncomfortable with a captor x captive dynamic, this WON’T be the book for you.

Now, let’s get into it.

Kate Stewart has a talent for making you feel every emotion when reading her books and deeply connecting with her characters. And this was no exception. Did this book live up to my 5-star expectations? No, BUT I really liked this book as a whole and where it fits within the Ravenhood and Legacy series.

This side of Tyler was hard to stomach. I’m not sure I ever anticipated how horrendous and malicious he would be, which made me very uncomfortable as a reader. At the 80% mark I wasn’t even sure I could ever forgive him. And honestly? I don’t think I have FULLY 🙈

Larissa is a force to be reckoned with. Tyler has met his match with this woman. She is lethal, conniving, and calculated. Overall I love her character, but I was hoping for a bit more development (my girl needs some serious therapy), which I feel was a bit clouded over by … the big event that basically unfolds into the second half. It started to feel like her character development was only to further build up Tyler’s story rather than her truly standing on her own, if that makes sense? I honestly wish Kate didn’t introduce that trope into this book…but, alas, this isn’t my story and my preferences don’t matter. I personally think it muddied the story, and I feel like it set a different tone to their dynamic a bit too prematurely. I also don’t tend to like that trope as a plot device, so maybe I can’t separate my own bias from this review.

The beginning of this book was a bit hard to get into. I felt it was a bit info dumpy, and I oddly felt the same in the epilogue. The middle was probably the strongest when it came to pacing, plot progression, and character development (in my opinion).

While I have issues with Larissa’s character progression near the end, I’m overall happy with Tyler’s character progression. Although I wish he didn’t do some of what he did, I think he redeemed himself the best he could.

I also didn’t anticipate how this story would actually mirror Tobias, Cecilia and Sean dynamic, which I thought was a unique spin that nicely tied the series together. I still will forever be bitter about Tessa, idc 🤣

The ending of this book had my jaw on the floor because WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! THAT TITLE?! IS THIS ABOUT WHO I THINK IT’S ABOUT?!

A sincere thank you to Kensington for gifting me a paperback ARC ahead of its release.

5🌟 If there’s one thing about Kate, it’s that she is going to write an emotional story that will resonate deep within your soul. I was nervous about meeting a new FMC after the heartbreak of Severed Heart, but Larissa is perfect for Tyler and I’m so happy he is getting another chance at finding love while never forgetting Delphine in his heart. Tyler, our marine.. and his flashbacks tore my freaking heart OUT. This man has seen the ugliest part of this world, but has never once forgot his why. “Because I can’t forget what our original ambitions were, and I can’t accept this world as it is now.” And Larissa.. ugh this woman has also seen the darkest pits of hell. I loved seeing Tobias and Sean pop up (even though I’m still bitter about Tessa, it’s whatever) LOL. Butttttt what an emotional freaking ride!!! So much character development from both Tyler and Larissa and I loved seeing everything tie together. But on a real note… I need the next book IMMEDIATELY 🫠🫠

Thank you to Kate & Kensington for the ARC 🥹

6 Resoundingly Raw Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First allow me to profusely thank NetGalley, Kensington Books, and Kate Stewart for the honor of receiving this eARC early in exchange for reading and delivering an honest review.

Do NOT read this review before reading The Ravenhood Series and The Ravenhood Legacy books (One Last Rainy Day & Severed Heart) as I do not want to spoil any portion of these books for new readers (or seasoned ones!).

If you’ve ever read a novel by Kate Stewart, you know she has a penchant for pulling on a reader’s heartstrings, often managing to find the loosest one just in time to send the reader’s heart careening towards the floor. Tears inevitably race to catch the plummeting heart soaking through tissues at an alarming rate! The emotional damage left in the wake of these stories is a punishment that we crave over and over again, easily evidenced by the sheer number of rereads and social media posts lamenting how we love rainy days (don’t we baby?).

From the first time we met Sean in Flock, I knew he had more happening under the hood than what we could see! We catch a glimpse of that with how much we get to see of the boys’ youth in Severed Heart but it truly jumps off the page in BoaF. All I can say is, I never thought I’d see the day…

I cannot wait to discuss some of the finer details of this book and Dom’s role in it despite his glaring absence. It makes so much sense now and my heart hurts all over again! 😭

In this book, we meet Larissa and from the start she’s volatile, violent, and valiant! She’s powerful but raw and when mixed with Tyler’s cynical heat, they are a fucking powder keg! 💥 Larissa is not just A bad ass, she’s my new favorite bad ass!

My heart went from being so hurt for Tyler at the end of Severed Heart to downright angry at him for some of his choices in BoaF! BLINK. BLACK.

And while I would love to continue my thoughts on BoaF in detail, I think I’d rather just leave it... 🧗🏼‍♀️

I feel like I’ve waited forever for this book and now that I’ve finally read it…just wow! This book absolutely consumed me from start to finish. I already knew from the teasers that Larissa and Tyler were going to be explosive together, but nothing could’ve prepared me for just how phenomenal their story would be.

These two feel inevitable in the best way, like they were always destined to find each other no matter how messy, painful, or complicated the road became. The chemistry is unreal. The tension, the push and pull, the lingering “hate,” the secrets, the emotional chaos, THIS is what addictive storytelling looks like! Kate Stewart has this way of making every interaction feel loaded with meaning and emotion, and I was hanging onto every single page.

The character development in this one is honestly insane. The Tyler we meet at the beginning of the book versus the man we see by the end feels like two completely different people. Watching that transformation unfold was equal parts beautiful and so so so emotional. And Larissa? Easily one of my top FMCs ever now. Her strength, resilience, and heart completely blew me away. I admired her so much.

One of my favorite things about this world will always be the Ravens and the layers of mystery, loyalty, and emotion woven through every character. I loved all the familiar faces and can we please get a whole book about Julien because I need it immediately!

And that ending?! Miss Kate Stewart what was that?! That cliffhanger has me unwell and I cannot believe we’re so close to the end of this series.

Thank you so much to Kensington Pub and Hambright PR for the ARC opportunity!

“In order to keep a secret, you have to be able to successfully tell a lie”

Birds of a Feather delivers:
💚 Tyler’s Story
❤️‍🔥Enemies to Lovers
🤫Secrets that Change Everything
🤏Forced Proximity
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Brotherhood/Found Family
💸Dark Underworld Romance

First and foremost, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to @hambrightuk for this amazing opportunity! I genuinely squealed when I saw this eARC in my inbox! This is definitely a pinch-me moment in my Bookstagram journey, and I’m completely over the moon to have been given this experience.

I first read the Ravenhood series last year and quickly became obsessed! From the very first book, I was hooked with Dom and Tyler easily becoming my favourite characters❤
Kate once again delivers a story full of heart, emotion, and impact along with a few dark twists along the way!

I completely devoured this book and finished it in two days! I loved Tyler before, and I think I may be even more obsessed with him now🤭This book has completely taken over my life, and Tyler and Larissa have officially become my favourite main characters in the series. I was constantly thinking about what was going to happen next, and I couldn’t wait to read more❤️

After everything Tyler has been through, I was very intrigued in how this book would unfold and I can say without a doubt that Larissa is the perfect match for Tyler. Every interaction had me gasping and the enemies to lovers dynamic was executed perfectly! The chemistry between them was absolutely unreal and I became so invested in both characters.

Birds of a Feather is so beautifully raw and deeply emotional. Tyler had me tearing up many times but the journey both characters go on is extremely powerful. The way that Kate takes her characters from the darkest moments to love and healing is incredible! Kate excels at this every time!

As a Dom girlie, I was very happy to still feel Dom presence in the story and how much his impact still factors into the story🩷
Now the ending, the way that I gasped!😱 I have no idea what’s going to happen next but I’m counting down the days until the next book!

Thank you to Kensington books, Hambright PR and author Kate Stewart for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

When I first read Severed Heart, I honestly didn’t think Tyler could ever have another love story that felt as deserving or as meaningful as the one he shared with Delphine. But after finishing Birds of a Feather, I can confidently say that Kate Stewart handled Tyler’s journey with so much care, depth, and intention.

What makes this book so powerful is the way Kate shows Tyler’s growth—not just through dialogue or reflection, but through the man he has become. You can truly feel the difference between the Tyler we knew before and the Tyler we see now. The emotional maturity, the healing, the grief he still carries, and the way Larissa fits into this version of his life all feel authentic and beautifully written. Larissa never feels like a replacement for Delphine; instead, she feels like the person Tyler needs in this chapter of his life, and I think that distinction was handled perfectly.

One of my favorite things about this book was how centered it remained on Tyler while still giving readers those nostalgic moments with the rest of the Ravens. Every small interaction, update, or glimpse into the lives of the characters we’ve loved throughout this series felt like coming home. Kate managed to weave those moments in so naturally that they added warmth and emotion without ever taking away from Tyler and Larissa’s story. It reminded me why the Ravenhood feels so special to so many readers—it’s not just about one romance or one character; it’s about the family and brotherhood that has been built throughout the entire series.

What truly stood out to me after finishing this book is how intentional the direction of the series feels now. From Flock to where we are now, the growth of the Ravens, the evolution of the club, and the emotional journey of these characters has been incredible to witness. You can feel the series naturally moving toward its endgame in a way that feels earned rather than dragged out. As much as I never want to leave the Ravenhood world, I think there is something so incredibly talented about an author knowing exactly when and how to end a beloved series while preserving everything readers fell in love with in the first place.

Kate Stewart has done exactly that.

This book feels like more than just Tyler’s story—it feels like the beginning of the emotional closing chapter for the Ravenhood itself. Every twist, revelation, emotional conversation, and nostalgic callback felt purposeful. There were so many moments that made me emotional, and the balance between heartbreak, hope, love, and nostalgia was absolutely perfect.

Birds of a Feather encompasses everything readers have loved about this series while also expanding the emotional depth of the Ravenhood as a whole. It’s emotional, nostalgic, heartbreaking, comforting, and full of twists that genuinely caught me off guard. This book made me feel everything, and by the final page, I was left both devastated and grateful to have experienced Tyler’s journey.

An absolute 5-star read and another unforgettable addition to the Ravenhood world.

I received this book as an ARC copy.

ʙᴜᴛ ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴍᴇ, ᴍᴀʀɪɴᴇ, ᴀʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ꜰᴀᴛʜᴇʀ‘ꜱ ꜱɪɴꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴏᴡɴ?

Birds of a Feather is book 6 in the Ravenhood series. But book 3 in the Ravenhood Legacy and WOW it did not disappoint. This is the book we all needed.

The audio is narrated in duet style by a full cast, Grayson Owens, Chloe Ryan, Leila Allarie, Aaron Shedlock, Will Thorne, Michael Gallagher, Anthony Palmini, and Sean Masters. They REALLY brought this book to life!

Larissa is absolutely lethal in the best way. She’s calculating, conniving, intelligent, and always ten steps ahead, but underneath all of that she’s also fiercely loyal to the people she cares about. She’s strong, resilient, and handles everything thrown at her head on. And honestly? You can’t compare her to Delphine because Larissa stands completely on her own as an incredible female lead.

ꜰᴜᴄᴋ ᴍᴇ, ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛᴇɴ ᴍᴇ, ᴋɪʟʟ ᴍᴇ, ʙᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ’ꜱ ᴍʏ ᴛʀᴜᴛʜ, ᴀɴᴅ ɪᴛ’ꜱ ɴᴏᴛ ᴄʜᴀɴɢɪɴɢ.

And Tyler… wow. Tyler truly met his match with her. The tension between these two was INSANE. The loathing, the chemistry, the constant push and pull between them? Exactly what I want from an enemies to lovers romance. Every interaction had me completely locked in!!

“ꜱᴏ ᴘᴜɴɪꜱʜ ᴍᴇ” “ʜᴀᴛᴇ ᴍᴇ.” “ʟᴏᴀᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴇ”

But what really made this book stand out was the emotional depth. Kate has such a talent for pulling you into a story while simultaneously emotionally destroying you. The way she explores trauma, PTSD, grief, and mental health felt so raw and realistic. Especially with Tyler, because we see firsthand how damaging it can be when grief goes unresolved for too long. I honestly wasn’t expecting some of the sides of him we got in this book, but it made his character feel even more real.

ʏᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ ᴍʏ ᴍɪʀᴀᴄʟᴇ.

This story had such intense highs and lows emotionally, and I felt every single one of them.

And that ending??? Yeah no. I already need the next book immediately because I am genuinely unwell. I will forever be OBSESSED with this series.

One thing you can always count on Kate Stewart to do is to break you and then put you back together again. Severed Heart broke us. Birds of a Feather over time but us back together. In this book Tyler is a lot more ruthless. He has gone even further into the brotherhood. He made promises to Delphine but can he keep them? With Severed Hearts I was not as much into the story until the last half of the book. With this one I was in it from the beginning and It wouldn't let me go. I found Tyler's character growth in this one coming back from everything that happened from the first book and then this one I really ended up enjoying how everything ended up progressing. I also really love Larissa. Her backstory was interesting and I liked how Kate ended up tying everything in and together in the end! And that epilogue and the set up for the next book. I am feral give it to me. Now I am not going to lie to you. I never really had the intention of ever reading these as I knew that Tyler's background was military. Being in my profession I don't tend to read anything that has military romance adjacent in it. It being the legacy series for Ravenhood is the only thing that had me doing this as I was so curious. I will say for how long they are they read pretty fast. I do think they could be a little bit shorter. but I still enjoyed my time with it.
The audio...It is a full cast duet style and the casting was fantastic. We did have the same narrators come back from Severed Heart for Birds of a Feather and then some additional narrators to round out for an experience you aren't going to want to miss. They really brought their A game and made it so that it played out in my head like a movie. They brought an emotion, and made me care about the characters even more. I highly recommend I don't think you will be disappointed!

✨ARC & ALC Review✨

The audio for this book was so dang good. Once again Greyson Owens did a fantastic job of voicing tyler and bringing all the emotions with his performances. The whole narration was just done so perfectly with this cast! Grayson Owens, Chloe Ryan , Leila Allarie and the entire full cast.

In typical Kate Stewart fashion, she just has a way with words and pulling you so fully into all the emotions & realness of these stories! This one while a little different than what I expected & took a minute for me to get into it, but it still brought the emotional punch we all come to expect! This story was real, raw, and absolutely heart breaking. A story of grief and navigating how messy it can be. The emotional depth and character growth in this was rocky and so worth the ride! This one absolutely put me through a rollercoaster of feels.

I loved Larissa! She is so fierce and just a strong badass FMC! The perfect match for Tyler. I loved these two and the back and forth push and pull between their relationship. I will forever love coming back into this world & I’m so glad we got this story. So needed and I loved how even after it broke me it put me right back together. I cannot wait for what else is to come!

Thank you Kate for always giving us the best stories. & thank you Kensington & podium for these early arc & alc opportunities!!

After Severed Heart, I really didn’t know how I was going to feel about Tyler’s story continuing but I absolutely devoured this book and loved it. I don’t think I can even compare to SH because both books/stories are truly so different. But believe me when I say that Larissa is exactly what Tyler needed - the perfect match to challenge him. She is so fierce, loyal, and truly I adore everything about her. Full disclosure, there were times when I really disliked Tyler, but despite everything that happened, I do love him once again. But that ending has me reeling with questions and don’t mind me while I spiral just a little bit.

The audio for this is also fantastic! Performed by Grayson Owens, Chloe Ryan , Leila Allarie in addition to a full cast and I’m so happy I listened to a good portion of this book!

I was thrilled to receive this ARC from Net Galley and Hambright PR.
This is the second half of Tyler’s story after Delphine. Another beautifully written story of war, love, brotherhood, and grief. Kate Stewart writes so that you feel like you know the characters and she knows exactly how to rip your heart out. This one wasn’t has heartbreaking as Severed Heart but I did cry a few times. I would recommend this book to anyone! I loved it. Infinity stars!

There are books that hurt… and then there are books that rebuild you while you’re still bleeding.

Birds of a Feather absolutely wrecked me… like full-body, can’t-catch-your-breath, eyes-swollen-for-hours kind of wrecked. And somehow, in the middle of all that devastation, Kate Stewart does what she always does best: she threads healing through the heartbreak so beautifully you don’t even realize you’re being put back together until it’s already happening.

Tyler’s journey? Unreal. Watching him navigate grief, guilt, and everything Delphine left behind and then slowly, hesitantly, begin to open himself up to love again… it felt intimate in a way that almost made me feel like I shouldn’t be witnessing it. Nothing about his healing was rushed or easy. It was extremely messy, painful, and so deeply human.

And Larissa… She doesn’t replace anything. She doesn’t compete with the past. She meets him exactly where he is and somehow becomes the one person who makes moving forward feel possible. Their connection is quiet and powerful and earned, and every moment between them carried weight.

But don’t get comfortable. Because just when you think you can breathe again Kate Stewart reminds you exactly what kind of story you’re in.

The gasp-out-loud moments in this book??? I’m not exaggerating when I say I physically froze more than once. The tension, the reveals, the implications… it all builds into something that feels so much bigger than what’s on the page.

And that ending??? Actually disrespectful(in a good way) but also… emotionally criminal.

The cliffhanger left me with more questions than answers, a brain full of theories, and absolutely NO patience to wait for the next book especially knowing this one isn’t even officially out yet.
Kate didn’t just continue the Ravenhood legacy, she deepened it.

This book is about grief. And love. And what it means to choose life again when it would be easier not to. And I will be thinking about it for a very, very long time.

The full cast narration elevated this story into something even more immersive and emotional.

Hearing each character through their own voice added so much depth. the dialogue felt more intimate, the tension hit harder, and the emotional moments? Absolutely devastating.

Thank you Kate Stewart, Podium Entertainment and Kensington for the ALC.

Anyone who’s ever read Kate Stewart knows the kind of effect her books leave on you long after you’ve finished, especially when it comes to the Ravenhood.

Tyler Carter Jennings is not your average man. He is a Marine through and through. Intelligent, bred to stop at nothing and no one, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Truly. He’s incapable of trusting anyone outside of his birds, especially when it comes to love… not after losing a love that shattered him. And the truth is, the mission he’s sacrificed everything for was never really his, it was hers. Delphine. His general. Buried on a hill, lost to him, yet forever carved into his severed heart.

This story… is emotional, to say the least. One built on loyalty, sacrifice, and the kind of conditioning that blurs the line between duty and identity. Tyler has mastered the art of war, but has war mastered his heart? He has to learn how to let go of the “soldier” he was shaped into and separate who he was trained to be…now his fight isn’t about strategy or control, it’s about finding himself again. About facing everything he buried so deeply. About acknowledging the people he hurt while seeing that mission through to the very end.

This book consumed me for the last week. I took my time with it, not just to read it, but to understand it. To sit in the weight of it. To absorb the wisdom woven into every page. This story is phenomenal in its plot. Complex. Layered. Heavy in all the ways that matter. Needless to say, I cried… more than once. One chapter had me completely wrecked.

I’m giving this 4.5 stars because there were a few scenes I had to go back and reread to fully understand, and a couple things that, for me, pulled me out of the story at times. I also found myself wondering why it wasn’t mentioned that the Georgia Guidestones had been destroyed when they were referenced, unless I’m misunderstanding the timeline, which is possible.
That said, I do think the focus was more on their existence, which my tinfoil heart appreciated.

It only makes sense that if Tyler’s origin story was devastating, beautiful and everything in between… this one would be too; a fight for everything he believes in. And this story is far from over…😭

Be warned, The Ravenhood trilogy and Legacy series will leave their mark; you won’t walk away unchanged, and Tyler’s story something to behold.

Y’all…I have no words for how perfect this was. This story was just…WOW. I am speechless. I am definitely convinced Kate is a genius mastermind at this point. The way she can create these stories and the Ravenhood world that started from just a girl having to spend a year with her dad…to alllll of this. It’s absolutely astonishing.

Tyler was not a character I originally connected with during the Ravenhood series, but after deep diving into his story in Severed Heart, I was hooked. Severed Heart left me with a tattered heart with a bandage holding it barely together. Birds of a Feather obliterated it totally and put it back together whole.

Larissa was an…unexpected character. She’s not what I thought she would be; but what was needed. She was Tyler’s miracle. She brought a whole other dynamic to the mix that matched Tyler’s; opened a new world to the whole group & was a pivotal role in Tyler’s overall journey.

I laughed. I sobbed. I paced the room. I had to pick up my jaw off the floor MANY times. This is what I want to feel with a good story & Kate exceeded those standards.

Now… can we please have book 4 now?!?!

Wow. This whole cast really knows how to bring a story to life. They really heightened the feel with how they voiced these characters.

No one can play Tyler like @graysonthemic - He IS Tyler. He did so good, I totally forgot that he voiced majority of the Raven men until AFTER I got done. The accents and changes to make each character unique…you would easily not realize that’s the same person voicing those characters. @chloeryanreads captured Larissa so well. I feel like she really brought life to this new character for us in a way that will be replaying in our ears; even after it’s over. Then of course, Delphine will always been apart of this journey & it was so good to hear Leila Allarie had a touch of Delphine in the mix.
