I can spot Devon right away. Possibly Chiamaka too. You mean to tell me that Terrell is in the middle?? And what the world is going to happen with Devon and Dre 😭

So many questions and not enough answers. I did get atleast one answer that helped me. Chiamaka! You are not as unbearable in this story!!

I need moreeee 😩😩😩 but it did address how Chiamaka felt about her pansy of a father. His lack of protection always bothered me in AOS! But wassup with Andre tho? And why does Devon even care when he has Terrell?!!

I saw that this was a thing and read it real quick because I just finished the actual book. It was way too short, I wanted more but its was still super cute. Like it is so short I read it in like two minutes kind of short.

Questa brevissima novella va a collocarsi tra il finale di So cosa hai fatto e il suo epilogo vero e proprio - quello è ambientato sedici anni dopo e questa invece nove mesi dopo, scritto in occasione del Pride.

Alla storia in sé non aggiunge colpi di scena o chissà cosa, ma lascia comunque domande - noi sappiamo in futuro con chi starà Devon grazie all'epilogo, ma veniamo lasciati con la curiosità di cosa gli abbia risposto il suo ex via messaggio.

Ho apprezzato inoltre le riflessioni di Chiamaka sul rapporto con suo padre e su quanto sia diventato conflittuale, una volta presa coscienza di quanto lui non l'abbia mai difesa di fronte alla sua famiglia razzista che non aveva mai approvato il suo matrimonio con una donna nigeriana in primis e non aveva quindi mai voluto avere a che fare con una nipote che non aveva la pelle bianca - anche questa volta gli italiani fanno bella figura domani.

I love getting a little glimpse up to characters after finishing a book. The story was a little too short for my liking, but I did enjoy Chiamakas part and explaining her relationship with her father a little further. WORTHLESS MAN. I wish we read more of Terrell , and Devon processing his father’s death / choices with his mother.

If you're a superfan of Ace of Spades, this might do something for you. But it's barely even a short story, and I didn't remember the characters or their relationships enough to care. Love young friends just hanging out and vibing at Pride, though!
