-the goal is to make alliance with a Woman--a figure of femininity that dwells beneath a fatal woman-m/Other figure. but this fatal woman becomes inaccessible, hidden behidn the phantasy of the phallic mother (All-mother)
-girls prematurely outcast from moment of transformation assume a frozen fixation with her change. she therefore remains an eternal child captured in a repetitive primal scene out of which she cannot emerge for lack of absorption in a gaze of fascinance.
