I teared up at multiple points because I was so very excited to be back in this story world! Everyone looked so wonderful and felt my heart was exploding with happiness, but then the end of the first chapter came and I felt some sadness!
It wasn't bad mind you! Just goes to show how everyone is growing and is really coming into their roles and continues to be their amazing selves. *Cue getting teary-eyed*
I LOVED that Zen and Shirayuki had some special moments! Goodness, I've missed them being together SO much and found this volume very much delivered! So beautiful and precious and makes me swoon all at the same time!
That bonus chapter was EVERYTHING!!! Because I was SO bummed how the actual volume itself was short but found myself squealing once again at the end!! EEEEPPP!
I can't wait for the next volume! I love these characters so so so much and am overjoyed to be "hanging out" with them again!!
Just caught up with all the volumes out for this manga 😭💗 it was such a cozy read. Prepare for a long review lmao:
I love the friendships and bonds that Shirayuki builds throughout the series ~ it’s so wholesome.
One aspect I loved the most is the positive outlook on change. No matter how much things change for the characters, their response is always comforting.
I love how back in volume 21 , Mitsubishi described the change he was experiencing as smth that makes him happy but also melancholic. THAT’S SO REAL.
Plus, despite the fact that Shirayuki and Zen are on their own journeys & have a long-distance relationship, it never breaks or changes their love for each other — and that’s just aghh so beautiful ☹️💗
It applies to the friendships too! even when they don’t see each other for months or years, they still hold on to what they learned from one another. It’s so sweet and really hit close to home. I rlly found comfort from this story 💗
This volume was also SO sweet. Love how we see them all back together again catching up. Plus, I think I’m rlly growing to love Hisame and Kiki’s dynamic :)
And ahhhh Shirayuki and Zen are so cute 😩✨ and Ryu growing up and finding his own path is so bittersweet 🥹
The story definitely has flaws, it can be too slow, and some arcs aren’t as intriguing as others ~ but I can’t rate it any lower because this story is so nostalgic to me hehe.
All I will say is that that bonus chapter was not a bonus chapter. That was essential. And very sweet. *laughing* And now I must wait for more to come out!!
Lumps? like... lumps of soccer talent? Oh... no... wrong series.
This series is just so cute and wholesome. I think I need to re-read the whole thing all at once though because there's such a gap between when they come out and the details are a little fuzzy.
I was a little sore about Kiki and Hisame at first, but they are literally the cutest thing ever I want a whole series dedicated to them
Oh my gosh what an amazing volume!! I’d been putting off reading this volume ever since it came out because I was so sad about it being Sorata Akiduki’s last volume before going on hiatus, but I just couldn’t wait any longer!! The moments between Shirayuki and Zen remind me so much of why I fell in love with this series and I can’t wait to read more. I’ve loved every single arc of this manga and I’m manifesting that the next arc is their wedding🤞
Crazy that the physical volumes are now caught up because of the long hiatus. Loved this one as well! Ryu and Shirayuki separating after 25 volumes is going to be so sad. I loved that duo. Also, the next arc seems it will be interesting! I do hope that Shirayuki and Zen can live in the same part of the country soon, though. xD It has been 3 years I think (maybe longer) since she first moved to Lilias in volume 13. And maybe one day he will propose. xD But, I love Shoujo's so much because romance is a sub plot, not the main focus. I have throughly enjoyed the recent action arcs like the House of Bergat and the perfume arc; so good!! I also lovedddd the ending chapter with Kiki and Hisame development!! When I first read through it all online, I was not happy with that romance (I wanted Kiki and Mitsuhide). But now, I see why the author did what she did and I have grown to really love Hisame and Kiki together!

Yo solo quiero verlos juntos, casados y felices.
This volume was quite short and left me feeling a little let down in that not much happened, but I still enjoyed seeing/reading these characters again.
The romantic moment between Shirayuki & Zen was cute and loonnnggg overdue. I’m here for their romance and I need I more progress in that plot.
I also appreciate that Ryu is taking his own steps and I’m excited to meet Zens uncle and see where that arc goes and what’s up with that job posting.
Also, mention of the “upcoming wedding” had made me really curious about Izana and who he’s chosen to marry. I hope we get to see the wedding as a multi-chapter story that involves all our main characters and some plot, rather than it being a long-event happening off-pagee.

This feels like the end of this series. Not only did the English version come out a while ago but I don't see another one even in Japanese. Kind of sad to see it end but the series is also very different from where it began. This volume did seem to be wrapping up some characters' storylines and hinting at others but it also feels like things were taken to completion, almost like they were left open to return to the story if so desired. So, for some key characters, changes were hinted to without any finalisist. It feels like there should be a little more but it does not look like there will be. I'll find this series charming with fun characters with a couple of storylines I may revisit on occasion.
*Review of Volumes 25-26* Nice! Am I only reading to see Zen and Shirayuki appearances? Possibly. There feels like a lot less fun in the recent volumes. I'm still enjoying the series, but not as much as before. Maybe because there's so many characters, each having so little time, so none of the characters get developed.
Shirayuki's task of spreading the phostyrias plants has finally come to an end. Ryu has chosen to become an herbalist at Lilias, permanently. Kiki is getting married to Hisame (still wish it was Mitsuhide). Even King Izana is getting married (and has Zen running all over the place getting things ready).
But it feels like Shirayuki's career (and love life) is stuck at a standstill. But with the posting of a job at Zen's uncle's place with qualifications that only Shirayuki can fit...
Either way, we're about to be off on a new adventure!
This is the last book in the series and it does not feel like it! I wanted a bit more resolution. For a lot of is Shirayuki is trying to figure out her next steps and is waiting for her marching orders which is causing some struggle. She and Zen have some sweet moments in the last part of the story but I wanted some more! This was their last time together-that we see and I wanted some more promises and such. But it was very nice I guess. I just wanted more for the last book. They do look a lot more grown up too! Wild all they have gone through. It's hard to say good bye to everyone.
I really enjoyed the series when I started it, it was a good mix of wholesome stuff and excitement but as I got further in to the series I feel like it became a little less interesting. I also feel like the writer could have added a little on to the end. I have no clue what could possibly happen next. Overall this was a good series, it could be a little different to make it more engaging but it was good nonetheless.
After a long time, I can finally read Sorata Akiduki's manga again, especially this is my favorite manga, Snow With the Red Hair. because the pause was a bit long, so I had to remember the storyline again.
In this volume, I like it when Shirayuki can meet Zen again. Then, Kiki's interaction with Hisame was really adorable.
This volume really reminded me why I love this series. The past 14 or so volumes have been pretty hit-or-miss, which only made me appreciate this book more. I’m just so happy to have all my favorite characters back together again, if only temporarily! I’m also warming up to Kiki and Hisame’s relationship (although I’m still sad things didn’t work out with Mistuhide 😭).
This was not worth the two year wait for this book to get translated and published. It was slow and painful to get through. Majority of the plot was her thinking they have forgotten about her and then when the prince comes she acts annoyed. We continue to have more awkward moments that can be avoided if they just communicated, then when they finally admit they both still have feelings for eachother and want to be together the book ends. I think the author is running out of ideas and needs to make the conclusion we all have been waiting for.
I enjoyed the progression of this volume and the advancement of some of the relationships. This is the last available volume translated into English right now, and the series just came off of hiatus earlier this summer. I'll hang on to my volumes and enjoy the story more when more volumes are available. I don't know enough Japanese to read the story well on translation.
Fantastic as always! Lower railing because it was only 100 pages of plot development that didn’t actually go anywhere. I just want Prince Zen and Shirayuki to start their life together, but that isn’t gonna happen anytime soon....
4.5! I loved all the romance in this volume, it gave me my whole life. I need to see the weddings asap! I'm not sure how much further the plot will go, since they are really relaxing into court life, but I am still ready and waiting for the next installment!
I love each and everyone of these volumes! I’ve read them about 2-3 times each. The story line is just so amazingly done! One of my all time favorites!!!
I thought that this was going to be the last one in the series, alas it is not so. I am finding that the story is moving quite slowly. I'll probably continue with the series but I'm hoping that something more exciting develops spoon.
FINALLY! We got some Zen and Shirayuki content! It got a bit...steamy, but still appropriate. My only complaint was the volume was so short! The next arc (?) is going to be interesting and I am not sure what it all means for Zen and Shirayuki. I want these to become an official couple and get marry, but it is hard to tell, if that will happen.
The rest of the volume was about Kiki and Hisame. Ah, I have mix feelings. I think this couple is growing on me, especially from Lord Hisame's point of view, which is what we got. When it comes to book boys, I am kind of sucker for the reserve guy who then pours out his soul to the girl he likes/loves. Not sure how realistic that is for guys to do, but in books I am all here for it!
Verdict: What is going to happen next?! Bring it on!
