Madcap comedy, fiery spice, festive magic, and enough feels to warm the cockles of even a grinch’s heart, Christmas Games is the perfect end to the Kinloch series!
The story of Rory and Zoe having a baby whilst trying to organise the best Christmas ever at Kinloch castle, was first published as ‘No Way in a Manger’ – one of the novellas in the book ‘Christmas Chaos’, written by me and the fabulous Kelly Kay.
I’ve given it a polish to make it even more sparkly, and it’s now been published as a standalone novella! However, it’s even more enjoyable if you’ve read the rest of the Kinloch series first!
I ADORE this book! It’s got all my favourite characters from the Kinloch series, and comedy that still makes me snort-laugh every time I read it.

This was so cute! I love Rory and Zoe so much, so this was a fantastic glimpse into their lives. I love that the whole crazy clan was included, too. This was a charming installation in this story, and I enjoyed the Christmas vibes. I like how this novella focuses so much on Rory, giving us his feelings and perspective. The ending was precious. I’m ready to pull out my Christmas decorations!”

But….just about everything goes wrong, from phallic Christmas lights to a month early 21st birthday party. This is clever, creative, and can even make a Grinch smile! ”

Evie Alexander has done it again! Five gold rings - I mean stars - from me! Christmas Games is a brilliant, laugh-out-loud, and utterly magical Christmas romcom that is perfect from page one.
Zoe and Rory MacGinley are the best book BF and GF, and their journey to parenthood is just hilarious. Zoe’s determined to make her baby dreams come true and this leads to some proper laugh-out-loud moments. Rory’s efforts to support her are so sweet and endearing, but will also make you facepalm and giggle!
In amongst all this, there are some more serious and heartstring-tugging moments which make this book a perfect Christmas read.
Oh, and look out for the Hollywood invasion, AKA Brad (an old fave from the previous books), and the village nativity shenanigans!
Christmas Games is everything you could want in a Christmas romance - funny, festive, spicy, and packed with feel-good magic. This is Evie Alexander at her very best, and I can't recommend it more!

I knew exactly what to expect from this book, especially with the Christmas theme, but I could not have predicted how deep the author would lean into the 'it's going to be a nativity scene' plot.

Great to catchup with Rory and Zoe. The love this couple has and then add in their beautiful daughter just pulled at my heartstrings. Highly recommend this series.

Cute. Far more closed door scenes than the rest of the series. They're still an amazing couple and he still barely speaks. It is a really small book and took me about two hours to read, so if you are looking for a quick short story thats wholesome this is a good choice.
