Este libro no solo es una guía para deportistas para mantenerse en el mejor estado físico y mental para mejorar el rendimiento, es una guía para vivir, para encontrar la mejor versión de nuestro cuerpo en nuestro día a día, y por eso lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Nos enseñará los ejes y la importancia de la nutrición, del ejercicio como método para mejorar la salud y nos hará reflexionar sobre la importancia de la mente a la hora de llevar cambios en estos aspectos. Nos habla de la importancia de ser conscientes de qué comemos y por qué lo comemos. De reflexionar cada día de lo que hacemos y con qué objetivo. Todos sabemos que comer bien, hacer deporte y descansar son hábitos saludables que deberíamos tener, pero se debe ser disciplinado y se debe buscar la fórmula idónea para seguir el camino que mejor se adapte a mí, para crear ese hábito sin que sea fácil que me desvíe del camino. La frase del libro que pongo debajo resume muy bien todo esto.

Un libro para reflexionar, para tratar de conseguir la mejor versión física y mental de uno mismo para nuestra vida, sea cual sea nuestro objetivo o sea cual sea nuestra situación. Para algunos, me incluyo, el objetivo puede ser disminuir todo lo posible el dolor y poder ir a comprar sin demasiados problemas. Estos objetivos más a corto plazo, harán que cuidarnos se convierta en un hábito, que alimentarnos bien no sea sinónimo de estar a dieta, si no de tener una rutina alimentaria adecuada a mis necesidades.

In Game Plan, Mike Mancias has released a helpful guide in getting the most out of your body. He begins the book by asking readers what they want to get out of their body today, next week, new month, and next year. He shared how he met LeBron James while he was playing in the NFL. He was looking for help in his training. At first, he wanted to train better and recover quicker. Then it grew over time he wanted to be the GOAT for as long as he could. Now, his goal is play in the NFL with his son. He has also helped train Usher, Myles Garrett, just to name a few. His program has assisted them in maintaining their longevity.


He begins by asking readers what do they want to get from their body today and do I have a team to support me. He encouraged readers to write down their 6 reasons and hopes that they have to accomplish with their bull’s-eyes. He discussed what to eat in this book. He asked readers to ask themselves why did they choose what they eat or will choose either it being a snack or a meal. It’s critical to think about eating in terms of longevity and most of us doesn’t think about that we are focus on the now. He explained how sometimes we could not be hungry we could really be thirsty. Overeating could be linked to us being tired and sleepy because we failed to get a good night’s sleep. He breaks down proteins, carbs, fats, and water. He recommended that we drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. He suggested to eat 5-6 small meals a day. One of the benefits of this is protein will be accessible to your body. He also covered different types of exercises to do and samples of the moves.


I would recommend this awesome book to anyone who is looking for ways to improve their health. This isn’t a typical diet book and it’s meant to be a resource for longevity health. It was interesting to hear about how he trained some of the well know celebrities and has helped them with this plan. There are tons of helpful food charts and pictures of exercises and an explanation on how to property do them. This book is very helpful and beneficial and contains countless information on getting healthier.

Book was decent, I like it for trainers if they’re learning how to add to their programming style or if someone is following the actual plan included for themselves. I was seeking more of the mindset, mentally of the training and not an actual regime. Seeing that Mike was a protege of Tim Grover I thought the book would be more of a different style of “Relentless” by Tim Grover which gave the culture driven by Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and D Wade.

As a performance coach myself again I took bits and pieces from it but caught myself scheming through a lot of the book til the end. I know a lot of the knowledge already put into the book for my clients, athletes, and myself. Would recommend to someone looking for a regime to improve overall health and needed a book format to keep close on their journey.

This book contained a plan with reasonable expectations. The goals, workouts, methods were all realistic. Even though he works at a higher level with LeBron, I never felt discouraged or said to myself "I can't do that." This GAME PLAN provides the tools to operate better. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading, but I'm glad I won this book. #GoodreadsGiveaway

Tenía muchas expectativas de este libro y me defraudó un poco.
Es un libro muy específico para quienes quieran hacer fortalecimiento ya que muestra los ejercicios y los explica pero pensé que se iba a enfocar más en el trabajo de discíplina, Hábitos y trabajo mental de un deportista.
No es un libro para leer en un café como me gusta a mí.

An excellent approach for eating, moving and living at your highest potential. Written by Mike Mancias, the personal trainer for some of the most elite athletes, he has developed a "game plan" for every day living at your best. The book includes menus, core and pilates moves, stretches and a mind set that will guide you to peak performance.

In my opinion, it’s one of the best strength and conditioning, nutrition, and recovery books on basketball. It’s second to none and made by one of the best trainers ever for the one of the greatest players ever. It’s a must read. I firmly believe that by applying these tips in this book, you will immediately see benefits and your potential will be limitless.

Another fitness book on how to get physically fit by exercise, diet, rest and mind set. Nothing I haven't read already. Easy steps to follow but it would be nice to have a personal trainer with you 24/7 to mentor you and keep you on the right path. Not something the average person can do.

i really liked this non-fiction book!! sometimes, they're hit or miss, but i found this one to be extremely relevant and educational.

i particularly enjoyed the nutrition and mending portions of the book.

10/10, great read.
