He sent for a mail-order bride to save his family, he just never expected to fall in love before she arrived.

Carter Hayes is a physician turned blacksmith who walked away from the profession of healing after tragedy struck someone close to him.

Mia Middleton came to Mud Lake, Colorado to be close to her sister, never imagining she'd fall for the handsome blacksmith with a past full of questions.

Carter must marry in order to claim his inheritance and keep his mother and sisters from being turned out of his childhood home, and Mia would be the perfect candidate. The only problem? He's already sent off for a bride, and she arrives to town the survivor of a train hold up with a long road of healing ahead of her. Carter's sense of honor forbids him from leaving his new bride behind, but where does that leave him and Mia? And will the faith and purpose that have been in tatters for a long time finally be mended, or will this only drive him further away?

This is NOT a love triangle story. It is a happily ever after story filled with romance and redemption.

God always has a plan.

Carter never intended to marry but now he needs to for necessity’s sake, so he sends for a mail-order bride. He also never intended to fall in love with Mia before his matched bride was sent. What a tangled web! The struggles he faces finally drives him back to God, and he learns to trust Him again. Through their challenges, Mia’s heart breaks, but she tries to lean on God. They are much surprised with God’s HEA for their lives.

I enjoyed the story. As are all the books by this Author, it was scripture-filled and a pleasure to read. If you enjoy clean, wholesome, gentle Christian romances, this is a story for you. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

I have been wondering what Carter’s story would be for a while now! Once I started this one I wasn’t sure how this love triangle would play out. Especially after Tori’s accident on her way to Mud Lake.

And then the book finished off with quite the drama, which I was not expecting!

Carter and Mia have a very sweet and clean story. Many mentions of the MCs from the other books in the series, and hints towards the next book! Mia stood strong in her faith, and Carter had to come back to his faith.

Mallory does an excellent job of pointing readers back to God and how He directs our lives. Thanks for the early copy!

I enjoyed the book! Mia came to Mud Lake to be with her sister. Carter was a blacksmith who had training as a doctor. The two were attracted to each other but Carter had already sent off for a mail order bride. There is excitement and some unexpected happenings. This book is part of a series but can be read standalone. There are characters from the other books in the series that included in the book. I highly recommend reading this book!

Mia and Carter

Mia and Carter seem to have an immediate connection, however every now and then, he pulls back and ignores her. Mia is starting to get tired of his hot and cold reactions to her, yet, she cannot resist being drawn back in each time that he reaches out to her. Only when Carter finally confesses the truth about his back and forth behavior does she realize that she’ll never be his wife. Or will she be after all? Read this story and find out!
