Warrior Princess is the third book in a trilogy that I have grown to be madly obsessed with. When I saw that the sign up for ARCs for this one were out, I realized that I missed the ARC sign up for the second book. I ran to Amazon and got the Kindle version of Lost Heir so I could read it before reading this. And I was not disappointed with Lost Heir or Warrior Princess. Not in any way, shape, or form. I will likely be getting physical copies of the entire series to keep on my shelf as trophies because I love the series so much.

Considering these are fairly short for romantasy books, Karina does a really great job at maintaining world building in a way that you can immerse yourself in the worlds. I felt like there were moments where I was right there eating mooncakes myself. I never noticed a single plot hole in the entire trilogy. I also noticed all relationships were followed through with in some way, even if it broke my heart how they went. (I'm looking at you so & so, so & so, and ESPECIALLY YOU SO & SO - I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE A REDEMPTION ARC, HOW FOOLISH OF ME. UGH.

Ronan continues to love his woman fearlessly, and in a way I think we should all look for. He is... breathtaking. Leila loves him just as fiercely, and she fights just as fiercely as she loves - for everything she stands for. And in Warrior Princess, that is their whole world. "'Together,' he echoed. In that word lay a world of shared futures and united fronts." They are in it for the long haul, thank goodness. Please don't fret - you will have a HEA.

But there will be many frustrating and tiring encounters along the path to the HEA - secrets revealed, family drama unravels, kingdoms at risk, lifelong friendships destroyed, and bloody hands - and not just for our favorite blood mage.

I loved this book with everything in me. I stand by what I said in the review for Lost Heir - if you need adventure, romance, a badass FMC, and a loving MMC who cherishes her, fights for her (and with her) - start this series ASAP.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Warrior Princess. Leila really is a warrior princess and is always willing to fight right along with Ronan and whomever is in need. She believes there is a chance for peace but needs help in making it happen. We finally learn about all of the secrets that have been coming out of the woodwork. Why Caelan has been so controlling and so overreactive at every turn when it comes to Leila. Why he's been trying to control her into submission. Leila makes it known that she is her own person and that she makes her own decisions and nobody else. She's helped the Crimson Clan and Keldara procure a better trade agreement for both their people. She has even helped her brother see who she really is after all these years of being away and that she truly is capable of being more. What a great conclusion to this saga.

Demon Fox…”The land of my people. The people who are suffering from the injustice of others…. I readied to level all of Asteria in one single blow.” This is where the prophesy began…
King Aryan, Ronan’s father, had believed he could bring the Demon Fox back and use the one wish to get the power he wanted. As others before having learned there is more to a prophesy than is always told. Leila’s death would not grant the wish he thought was his to control. It went to the lover of the blood weaver. Ronan would bring Leila back. And so, the battle for Asteria would begin again.
Ronan and Leila would seek help from an enemy that would become an ally, but the journey to Keldara in search of peace between the Grasslands and Keldara would be a dangerous mission for any messenger sent to negotiate peace with King Eduard. Leila was to find herself a pawn the King would use to get a hold on Valoria by forcing himself on her and then marrying her against her will. Her fight to get free and back to Ronan will be a deadly struggle, while a battle will change the hands of power once again.
But even free of Keldara there is truth to be learned before going back to Valoria. There is a secret held so tightly those who know of it become ghosts on the wind, as Ronan and Leila search them out. Even before they can find the woman, they search for news comes that King Alwyn of Eldwain is dead. King of the fae, Caelan would be in an even more dangerous position, as he already has allies among the Central Plains, a foothold in Valoria and would now rule in Ellyndor. Now he will come for Leila, to try to force a marriage on her. However, what Caelan isn’t aware of is that there is another contender for the throne. One who wants justice for her people, to depose Caelan and stop his reign of terror and put an end to the wars.
In this final tale that began with “The Lost Heiress” the prophesy that began it all is shared, as secrets slowly break free to be heard by all, treachery, betrayal, war, and death but through it all Ronan and Leila’s love and respect for each other hold them together, each willing to give their lives for their people, their homelands and each other. Enemies will become allies and those they thought to be friends will reveal their real desires. And the biggest secret of all will be answered. The impetus that started long before Leila ran as a child from Valoria and the reason she had to stay hidden will complete the story’s circle.
Ronan and Leila’s tale was the heart of this beautifully crafted trilogy, as battles raged around them, enemies and even family members tried to separate them. Leila has always been the key to power, but she sought only to serve the people around her, wanted to see a better world, one of peace for those in all of Asteria. At the center, she was the one most often attacked, in danger or harmed. And through it all Ronan was there, along with Henry, a young boy she had befriended. There are others that finally realize they need to seek the truth, that will join them. I admit that I was surprised at the twists and turns the story took at times. The biggest secret of all I never spotted until it was revealed. I couldn’t stop reading and going back to my highlighted notes in the book over and over again, until I could live inside the tale as it happened. The adventure, drama, dangers and spicy romance was all encompassing for me. I loved the people and reveled in the evil villains’ dastardly actions. And I must admit my favorite of the homelands was Central Plains it was wiggling with life, smells and enigmas. The smells of tea in the tea house, as I heard the storyteller sharing a tale and the Rose Petal that turns out to be more that a house of pleasure and the idea of Leila’s small clinic where she created her herbs and remedies.
The only part that left me wanting was the epilogue, I would have enjoyed a more encompassed telling of Ronan, Leila, Marcel, Serene and how Asteria had all fared ten years hence. And perhaps a peek at Shiro, the Demon Fox as well. I highly recommend this colorful tale. I would step into any world Karina Espinosa would care to share, always.

I think the covers for the Blood Weaver Trilogy are all very striking and Warrior Princess fits with the two previous covers very well. It was mixed emotions approaching reading Warrior Princess as it’s the last book in the trilogy, I was eager to read the book but at the same time wasn’t totally ready to bid farewell to Leila and the other characters.

Warrior Princess starts with a small prologue that is a flashback to how/why Shiro was made into the Demon Fox. Celeste put her beloved Shiro into slumber to stop him attacking/destroying Asteria. Celeste then cursed her own bloodline saying there will be no female blood mage born until Shiro has had time to think things through and sort of see the error of his ways, only then will a female blood mage be born. The female blood mage must fall in love with one from the Crimson Clan, then be sacrificed to bring back Shiro the Demon Fox. The female blood mage must be in love with one of the Crimson Clan that way she will feel the betrayal when he kills her for his own people. It’s quite a sad kind of prophecy/ceremony really though Ronan thinks he has a way around the fact Leila must die for the Demon Fox to return. Once returned the Demon Fox can grant one wish. Ronan decides he will use this one wish to bring Leila back to life.

Chief Aryan of the Crimson Clan thinks sacrificing Leila/Princess Lyanna of Valoria is the only way to make the Crimson Clan the strongest army so that they can defeat all enemies in war. He doesn’t care that his son Ronan is in love with the Princess and he has no intention at all of honouring his agreement with his son, to use the one wish that Shiro grants to bring Leila/Princess Lyanna back to life. Chief Aryan wants to use the wish for himself which is why he uses a tranquiliser dart to put Ronan out of action whilst he persuades Leila to let him perform the sacrificial ceremony. Silas finally finds Ronan after the ceremony has been performed and has to break the devastating news that Leila is dead. Ronan rushes to find his father and the Demon Fox to make the wish to bring Leila back to life which is rightly his wish to take.

Leila does struggle with the memories of the sacrificial ceremony that Chief Aryan performed on her, the way he began slitting her wrists and then quite callously and savagely slits her throat to enable her blood to flow fast and freely onto the stone she is laid on. In fact, she is rather self-concious of the scar at a neck so much so she initially wears scarves at her neck to hide it. Shiro – the Demon Fox being brought back does give the Crimson Clan army extra strength, they feel the extra power almost immediately. Shiro is also a formidable fighter in any battle himself. Shiro also helps Leila develop, wield and learn to control her Blood Weaver magic which certainly comes in useful.

Without going into detail there is more than one person who would force Leila into marriage with them to gain control of Valoria who are willing to go to extreme lengths to get what they want. Leila also has no shortage of potential agreeable suitors either! There is lots of betrayal and conspiracy going on, some from quarters you would not expect that Leila has to deal with from her adopted home of the Grasslands with the Crimson Clan as it is not safe for her to return to Valoria. Leila has the help of most of the other regions in Asteria

So, there’s lots of action scenes both of the steamy and battle varieties making this book really difficult to put down once you start reading! Though I did enjoy the epilogue at the end I would have loved a little more of a mention of Selene & Marcellus and their relationship outcome. I did love the way Henry is happily settle with Ronan & Leila. I'm not sure how to explain it but it just ended a little abrupt & quickly for me....it left me wanting a little more…..maybe that’s a good way to end leaving me to fill in the blanks

Summing up Warrior Princess really is an action-packed, edge of your seat conclusion to The Blood Weaver Trilogy. I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author!

"Warrior Princess," the third book in Karina Espinosa's Blood Weaver Trilogy, is an enthralling continuation of a series that beautifully blends magic, love, and the ever-present threat of betrayal in the captivating world of Asteria. If you’re like me and have a soft spot for stories where fierce heroines must balance power, heart, and the weight of the world on their shoulders, this book will leave you both breathless and deeply satisfied.

Leila, our formidable blood mage, has been through a whirlwind of trials and revelations since the series began, but in "Warrior Princess," she faces her most daunting challenge yet. With Prince Caelan of Eldwain's dark plot threatening to plunge all of Asteria into chaos, Leila’s journey from the grasslands of Keldara to the treacherous courts of Eldwain is nothing short of epic. Espinosa masterfully weaves a tale that pulls you into every battle, every difficult decision, and every moment of quiet tension between Leila and Ronan.

Speaking of Ronan, the fierce warrior from the Crimson Clan, his bond with Leila is one of the highlights of this book. Their relationship, fraught with tension, loyalty, and unspoken emotions, is a compelling thread that keeps you turning the pages. The way they support each other through the trials they face, even when their love is tested by the shadows of war and the politics of their world, adds a rich layer of depth to the narrative.

The world-building in "Warrior Princess" is top-notch, with Asteria coming alive in vivid detail. From the sprawling Central Plains to the deceptive courts of Eldwain, every setting is crafted with care, making the stakes feel real and the dangers ever-present. The plot is thick with intrigue, and just when you think you’ve figured out where the story is headed, Espinosa throws in a twist that keeps you on your toes.

But what truly stands out is Leila’s character development. She’s not just a powerful mage; she’s a warrior princess who must navigate the complex web of alliances, confront painful truths about those she once trusted, and ultimately decide where her loyalties lie. Her inner strength and determination are inspiring, making her a heroine you can’t help but root for.

"Warrior Princess" is a fitting crescendo in the Blood Weaver Trilogy, bringing together all the elements that make this series a must-read: a richly imagined world, complex characters, a love story that resonates, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end. If you love fantasy tales where the lines between friend and foe are blurred, and where love can be both a weapon and a shield, this book—and this series—deserves a place on your bookshelf.

My one mistake when it comes to this book was knowing I was tired and thinking I could read a few chapters and stop. Wrong! After I read the beginning with Celseste and Shiro I was hooked and could not stop reading. I had to know what was going to happen next. Warrior Princess picks up where the previous book left off with Ronan waking and finding out about the betrayal from his father Chief Aryan. Things doesn't go exactly as planned by the Chief and Ronan has to make a choice. The chemistry between Ronan and Leila was as undeniable as ever and I loved how protective they were of each other. War is on the horizon, lives are lost, power plays are made, truths and secrets are revealed, betrayal is strong, and allies are few and coming from the most unexpected places. Caelan does not only want Leila (Lyanna), but he also wants all of Asteria. He is willing to do whatever is necessary to get what he wants. Someone close to Leila is helping him for their own personal and shocking reasons. I don't want to give anything away because it's a story/series worth reading that's full of suspense, great characters, enemies, surprises, secrets, betrayal, friendships, romance, love, steamy scenes and more. I truly liked the epilogue with Henry, Ronan and Leila but I wanted more of Ronan and Leila especially with everything that happened. I needed more of them together at the end. The ending gave them their HEA, but I felt as if I was still left with unanswered questions about some of the main characters. I'm hoping they get their own story or something because the ending didn't leave me with a "complete" feeling. I needed to know what happened with Malik and the position he is now in. Has everything been settled? Did he finally get total control over everything regarding Keldara, and I want to read about his HEA. I have questions about King Malik and Queen Derinda with her quick exit, Marcellus and Selene, and so much more. There was no mention of Shiro at the end, where did he go and why wasn't he mentioned during the ceremony? Did I enjoy this Trilogy? Yes. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! I think that readers that enjoy great paranormal romance stories will enjoy this series. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Book three starts, where book two ended. And from then on, it’s a fast paced story of betrayal and action. Suitors descend upon Leila to pursue/force/persuade her to marry them! There is no love matches! It’s all to gain power over the Demon Fox. That character grants one wish. But to obtain that wish Leila has to 💀! All but Ronan are happy to sacrifice the princess in order to gain that wish! I did like the prologue in this book, it explains the story/legend of the Demon Fox.

The connection is still strong between Ronan and Leila (even though he did betray her!) I think her faith and trust actually helped him to become a better person.

Leila is growing into her power more and more. Which is why her blood is so sought after! But I also liked that each book Leila had so much to contend with, and with each book she just grows in confidence and experience.

You definitely need to read this trilogy in order, skipping a book won’t make much sense. The story grips you from the first page, and I must admit I did reread the first two books (a refresh and just because I loved the books.)

I also liked the fact we got different points of view. I didn’t warm to Ronan at first, but with each book he proves himself to be a worth companion to Leila. (But his father is definitely a piece of work!)

What a way to end this trilogy. I loved every minute of it. And will go back and read all three again at some point. The fight/battle scenes are intense. Might be a little triggering for a few people. The descriptions are on point, you can easily imagine yourself travelling through different landscapes, and meeting new allies and battling adversaries.

Highly recommended read 👍🏻

If you like romantasies with hidden identities, political intrigue, multiple love interests, and a Khal Drogo-inspired MMC, this series is for you.

The third and final book of the Blood Weaver trilogy picks up where the second book ends (oof that cliffhanger). Now facing the consequences of fleeing Valoria with Ronan, Leila must decide who to ally with as she attempts to broker peace between multiple warring nations.

While I enjoyed the series as a whole, this book felt pretty rushed. I was underwhelmed by the resurrection of the demon fox given how central the prophecy was for the plot in the first two books. It also felt like the main characters were constantly moving from place to another, which contributed to the too quick pacing of the story.

That being said, I think this series starts very strong and offers a compelling story for those who enjoy the tropes mentioned above.

Thank you to the author and Lady Amber PR for an advanced copy of Warrior Princess!

Fantastic!

Wow… I loved this conclusion to this series and getting to read a little of the backstory of the Demon Fox. It starts off right when the previous book ended with Ronan’s father sacrificing Leila and telling her that he won’t use the one wish to bring her back like Ronan had promised. Ronan wakes up from being shot with a sleeping dart to discover that the love of his life is dead and that the Demon Fox, Shiro, has been resurrected – he rushes back to confront them and MAKE them use the wish to bring her back. Thankfully, the rule is that the one who loves the sacrifice gets to use the wish and she is brought back to life.

What happens next is a LOT of trying to find groups that are willing to stand with them when Caelan makes his move for not only his crown but hers. And some interesting truths come out. When the fighting begins, will they be able to keep him from not only taking her but both crowns?

Fantastic book and ending to this series!

This jumps in right where the previous book (Lost Heir) leaves off after a short prologue giving backstory on the Demon Fox. The drama ramps up immediately as Ronan tries to undo the results of his father's deceit. I love Ronan and his determination to save Leila. It seems very sincere as he struggles to get Leila to ignore the prophecies and rumors that he had planned to kill her.

Shiro the Demon Fox is a character I sincerely hope gets his own story in the future. Instead of the raging demon of vengeance the Crimson Clan expected, he is a thoughtful and reasonable deity.

Leila's desire to see the best outcome for all the nations is the highlight of this series. I found her to be very relatable and I was pulling for her to achieve the seemingly insurmountable obstacles in her path. All in all, a wonderful conclusion to a rollercoaster of a trilogy. Well done, Karina Espinosa. You have definitely earned a place on my must-read authors list!

Warrior Princess is the third installment of the Blood Weaver Trilogy series. Warrior Princess is the adventurous story of Leila and Ronan. This is one of my many new favorite fantasy romance. I absolutely adore both Leila and Ronan, and I love that I was given the opportunity to read this book and provide an honest review. Warrior Princess is both suspenseful and a definite page-turner. This story caught my attention and had me hooked into the story of these two amazing characters. Warrior Princess is beautifully written by Karina Espinosa and the first one I have read by this author. Author Karina did an outstanding with the way she breathed air into this amazing story. I would encourage anyone to check this amazing book. I’m definitely going to need to check out more books written by this amazing author.

I really hate to read the last book in a series because then it’s over…so, I was both happy and sad at the end of this book. However, this book was an excellent series ender. There was so much to wrap up in this book, I wasn’t sure that everything could be, but I was wrong. Not only that, but it was fun and action-packed along the way. Ronan and Leila are an excellent couple, and I do wish we had gotten to see more of a couple of the characters, but such is the way of books. I can’t wait to see what the author has next in store for us readers. Well-written, action-packed, and entertaining, I loved this. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Warrior Princess (Book 3 of Blood Weaver Trilogy) by Karina Espinosa is a romantic fantasy novel. This is the final book in the trilogy. There so much to process in this book as things come to an end. It is almost like you are within the book feeling everything with the characters. I highly recommend reading the first books so you can understand everything.

Leila and Ronan continue to be the main characters fighting against those who want to control Asteria. There is also a prophecy at play that is very important in this book. There is chemistry, betrayal, love, sorrow and so much more.

I enjoyed this book and series.

A mix experience as shame the trilogy has to come to an end as does leave some opportunities for more but then maybe that is for the readers imagination or possibility for the future. Although some ending and all comes together in the end, but felt for me a little rushed towards the end or could be me wanting more and not to end.
Leila is a strong, fierce and fiery main characters that I have enjoyed emerge and grow through the trilogy and the relationship with Ronan has had its ups and downs but glad they weathered the stormy world they live in.
Lots of enjoyable strong character ensemble that kept the narrative and the fantasy world fascinating and enjoyable.
Lovely writing style in this series, great narrative, good characters and enjoyable adventure to entertain and merge into.

Warrior Princess was the perfect ending to the Blood Weaver Trilogy. I absolutely love this trilogy and the characters. You can't help but fall for Leila and Ronan and get caught up in their journey. In Warrior Princess we see true colors and truths come to light, there's so much action and drama unraveling with each turn of the page. New characters are introduced and play huge parts in the outcome of Asteria. I'm sad to see this series end but am excited to see what Karina has in store for us next. I highly recommend this for any fantasy lovers!

Blood weaver trilogy

Fantasy, mf romance, magic, political intrigue. This series was full of plot holes. I expected book three to tie up loose ends, but it just created new issues. Spoilers follow: blood weaver, so what? Bizarre rituals to re animate a demon fox? Weird incest under current. Who is Orion? Where's the evil queen? What was her motivation? What happens to Selene and Marcel? Book one starts off well with a great mystery and believable love interests. ? But book three and the conclusions just baffle the mind.

Another Riveting book as the the story continues.

If you love action and a deep love story that spurs our Layla and Ronan to fight for what is best for all the Kingdoms, you will adore this book. And soon the audiobook will be available. So whether you prefer to read or listen you will love it all. I am so looking forward to the audiobook recorded by the same voice actor as the others in this series. Amelia Hugh will bring these characters to life in a way that will keep you coming back for more every time. Great Book!

I had high hopes for this conclusion after the first two books. Unfortunately, the ending was like an Olympic runner who trips right before the finish line, limping into last place in the final heat. Instead of stepping into her power, this “Warrior Princess” chooses to fall on her sword at the height of battle, leaving me wondering, what even was the point of the blood weaving power. The saving grace of this story is the wonderful audio performance by Amelia Hugh who elevates every book she reads. It’s disappointing because this could have been so good.

the end

I really enjoyed this trilogy. This book give us all the answers, but still leaves us with questions at the end =D I felt this last portion of the story didn't elaborate where it could have. The whole premise of a blood weaver is original and I would have liked to see more of its use, and learn more about the Goddess/her prowess.

I highly recommend the author. And this series!

Fast paced kept me entertained and guessing to the end. Easy to get sucked into to all. Love this series

Wow a wonderful ending of a wonderful series. I love all the characters and it is easy to fall in love with this world. This is definitely one of my favourite romantasy reads. If you love audiobooks the audiobook will be coming soon and I can definitely recommend Amelia Hugh narration she brings all the characters to life.
