As a creature of the forest, I have an obligation to be dealing with the handsome Guardian. The first time I met him, I knew right then and there that this bear would be my forever mate.
I have been patrolling the forest, trying to do everything that I can to protect it from humans. I have been trying to do the right thing, knowing that without me, the forest would be gone. It’s time for me to meet the rest of the creatures of the forest and with it, the Guardian.
Alexi, the bear Guardian who is older and wise, but he does have a bit of a temper. If it wasn’t for him being so handsome, I would have decked him by now.
I don’t know why I feel so drawn to him, wanting to see what happens between us. It’s obvious he is trying to push me away but I’m not so good at being told no.
But will I be able to accept him for who he is, or will my heart just be another piece that he breaks?
Bear’s Grumpy Guardian is part of a standalone series that can be read in any order filled with shapeshifters, romance, sex, drama, and a hint of crazy moments that will have you turning the page to see how these handsome men deal with their feisty women.
E.H. Wilson's Bear's Grumpy Guardian is an enchanting addition to the Moonlight Matings Chronicles, bringing together the perfect blend of shapeshifter romance and enchanting woodland magic. As a lover of stories with captivating supernatural elements, I found myself immediately drawn into the world Wilson has created.
The protagonist's unwavering commitment to protecting her forest feels both heroic and relatable. Her instant attraction to Alexi, the grumpy yet undeniably handsome bear Guardian, adds a delightful layer of tension to the narrative. I appreciate how Wilson explores the dynamic between them—the fierce determination of our heroine to break through Alexi's tough exterior, despite his attempts to push her away. Their interactions are filled with both humor and heart, making their journey toward romance a compelling read.
What I particularly enjoyed is the way Wilson captures the essence of the forest and its magical creatures. The setting feels alive, as if it’s a character in its own right, echoing the deep connection the heroine has to her surroundings. The pacing is spot on, keeping me engaged with a mix of playful banter, emotional moments, and the inevitable drama that unfolds as their worlds collide.
Fans of steamy romance will find plenty to love here, as the chemistry between the characters is electric, resulting in some unforgettable, passionate moments. Wilson’s knack for blending humor with heartfelt storytelling shines through, ensuring readers are invested in both the romance and the fate of the forest.
Overall, Bear's Grumpy Guardian is a delightful, engaging read that stands out in the series. With its charming characters, enchanting setting, and a love story that dances between playful and poignant, it’s a book that will leave you eager for more adventures in the Moonlight Matings Chronicles. If you’re looking for a fun escape filled with shapeshifters and sizzling romance, this one is not to be missed!.

Alexi, the guardian of the forest and its protector, Krystal have a common goal, but will they be able to work together to keep the hunters from invading. Their story was filled with suspense and intrigue as she tries to break down his walls. It was an emotional read, and she was a strong and captivating female lead. Alexi was grumpy but his protective nature outshines it all. I really enjoyed this story very much.

The guardian of the forest is Alexi. Krystal is one of the bear shifters who is also a guardian, but not as experienced as Alexi. This short story basically determined Krystal once her alpha. She is willing to be defiant and show some sass, but he’s trying to be protective. The only problem is who’s gonna claim who? Pretty good read with the bantering of trying to prove a point.
