One of Rachel Hauck's Best

Aubrey and Scott are excellent characters to showcase humor, passion and God's love. The story of a Christian being sidetracked by the world's glitz is perfect in today's time. Honest emotion and shattered lives made whole again , make this one of the best.

Nashville Dreams

A sweet little story about a girl who has big dreams to be a songwriter but first has to overcome paralyzing fear. Some secrets from the past come to light and help her understand her momma better and she has to face the betrayal of one she thought was a friend, but with some good friends and her faith, she finds her footing and her dream.

I liked Ricky a little, but Lee was better. I'm conflicted about Graham. I want to like him but I also should be really mad at him. I loved Skyler and how much she helped Robin. I wish Eliza had been around more because I loved her interaction with Robin.

Nashville Sweetheart

This is kind of a tandem/sequel to Nashville Dreams and I liked that a lot because we get to see a little more of Robin and Skyler. I think it would have been nice to have more interaction between Robin and Aubrey but the idea is there.

Aubrey has been running from pain and hiding out for years. I connected with her as a character more than I did with Robin. Aubrey wants to have her private life private and her career just be about her music.

I never liked Car. I totally called him . I liked Aubrey's pen pal letters with her foster sister. Their relationship was so sweet. I liked Scott a lot. How he cared without expectation of return. He wasn't trying to steal Aubrey from Car or anything. He just wanted to help her. It was really nice.

I laughed out loud several times. In both books. There were also some really good thoughts from the characters. Here's one funny and one thoughtful quote:

If the good Lord meant for folks to get up before the crack of dawn, He would've made us all roosters and been done with it. Nashville Dreams

I haven't figured out God's purpose for me yet. I can't be Mrs. Ricky Holden or Mrs. Anyboy until I discover who He made me to be. Can you understand? Nashville Dreams

Oh, and I couldn't agree more with this quote:

I love baseball. To me, it stands for everything great about summertime, our country, and our history. There's nothing like the crack of a wood bat. Nashville Sweetheart

The one thing I didn't like was there were two instances where characters said some variation of "pissed" in Nashville Sweetheart. That disappointed me. Both books are not for teens in my opinion. They are adult books for some themes. I liked Hauck's Once Upon A Prince series better overall but these were cute.

Nashville Collection

If you love Country music you will love these two books. Both stories were the kind you can't put down. The main character in each book were different in their life style...one a dedicated Christian and the other had fallen away from her Faith. I loved the way the two were brought together in Nashville Sweetheart. Rachel knows how to weave a story that you can't put down.

Both books center around the country music scene. The first is someone seeking to become a songwriter and the second is a successful country soul singer. Whether you are just chasing your dreams or found fame it can all be overwhelming especially if you are seeking love along the way.

Loved one, hated one. The first in the series is written in what, I guess, is supposed to be a humorous first person. It was silly and cliché to me and I did not enjoy it. The second in the series is much better, creatively written in two different points of view. I enjoyed the interviews and felt they really helped to develop the characters.

Fun Pairing

This was a fun pairing of books! I really enjoy Rachel Hauck's books - she has her characters struggle through and with their faith. If you don't like that, then this may not be the book for you. This was a sweet, romantic addition to my library.

Being from Nashville, I especially enjoyed this. I had a hard timing rating. Some of it was beautiful and fun and some was very "hoky". Loved both storylines but for different reasons.

Great read! Fun characters.

Enjoyed seeing inside the Nashville music business. Liked the very slight crossover with the 2 novels. Interesting story line and setting.

Gotta love Nashville!

Nice, easy read. Nothing earth shattering. Another fun Cinderella story. Living is Nashville and reading a book with the city in the background is always fun.
