First Class Romance

Rate this book
A chance encounter with a grumpy passenger changes course and ascends to new and unexpected romantic heights.

At 30,000 feet, where the world below shrinks into miniature cities and vast blue oceans, love is the furthest thing from the minds of Infinite Airlines crew members. Working a first-class cabin is a well-known, carefully choreographed routine for them. But for Emy Nichols, a seasoned flight attendant with a penchant for adventure, a life-changing journey encountering love in the clouds is about to take flight.

With friends finding matches all around her, Emy longs for a different kind of connection than those she regularly makes at airports around the world.

In the densely packed cabin of a transatlantic flight, a standoffish passenger seated in 1A has aroused Emy’s curiosity. But passengers have been strictly off-limits for Emy’s dating pool since a bad experience several years ago. Little does she know, she’s about to embark on a turbulent ride, bouncing through the highs and lows of unexpected love, laughter, and romance.

This book was an absolute delight—charming, enjoyable, and full of hearty and swoony moments. The small yet captivating chapters had me racing through the pages. The bond between Emy and Chloe was heartwarming, and Jackson Riley stole my heart. He's such a cute golden retriever boyfriend even though termed as a grump! Their moments and chemistry are off the charts and I loved both of them a lot.💕
I loved the side characters in the story and I'm so keen to read their stories as well and after reading that they are getting one, I'm content.🥰
And the vibes? Christmas? In Paris? I signed up immediately for this book after reading these and I'm happy and satisfied with the captivating feel this book gave me. I sometimes got confused when the pov changed between first and third person but as I got involved in the story I didn't pay attention to it. ✨🌲

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it if you're looking for a cutesy, light and cosy read with holiday vibes.💕🗼

I truly enjoyed this arc copy.
Thank you Book Funnel and Camille Hope for letting me read the story about Emy & Jackson. 😍😍😍
This romantic story was fluffy, fast paced and beautifully written.
Spicy 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️
Paris is known for being the city of love so it was perfect for the book to take place there.
I would love to read this book around the holiday season.
Gives off hopeless romantic vibes.

This Camille Hope’s Debut Novel, and it did NOT disappoint.

This was a super cutesy, fun, wholesome read. With short but engaging chapters, I found myself flying through the book. Not wanting to put it down.
I loved the friendship between Emy and Chloe, and I adored Jackson Riley.
I love nothing more than, a good grumpyxsunshine trope with a dash of he falls first!
It was a little spicier than I expected. I anticipated a close door romance just based on the wholesome story line. That much being said, the adult content did not overpower the actual storyline.

4/5 stars ⭐️ would definitely recommend and cannot wait to read more from the Infinite Airlines Crew!

Huge thanks to Camille Hope for the ARC copy!
It is adorable, you definitely should be proud ❤️

ARC Review!

I really loved it! The romance and the ending were great.

The reason I gave it 4 stars, though, is because I got a bit confused during some of the story. Each chapter is titled after the 2 main characters. So one chapter will be named Emy and then the next Jackson and so on. So I thought that that meant the chapters were going to be told from that characters POV. It seemed like that's how it was going at first. But then, once the characters were appearing in the same chapter, it seemed like a mix. Like it wasn't really from just one POV but both. For example, an Emy chapter would have both of them sharing their thoughts and feelings instead of just Emy. But then later, it was just individual again. It got a bit confusing.

Other than that, it was a great story! It was a fast paced romance, that happened very very quickly. It was kind of a love at first sight almost. But I loved it! My favorite part was the last few chapters and the way the events played out!

I'm looking forward to all future books in this series!

Did I just read a Christmas romance story in the middle of Summer? Why? Yes, I did, and I enjoyed it as well! It was a relatively quick read and adorably sweet as well. Emy and Jackson’s meet-cute would make hearts melt.

Emy is a flight attendant who ends up with one of her passengers in Paris. Yes, things move along fast, but it’s love at first sight with these two, so much so that they spend Christmas together and have difficulty parting ways. But they exchange phone numbers, yet something goes amiss, and Jackson has challenges reconnecting with Emy.

“First Class Romance” was on the sweeter side versus steamy. That’s not to say there weren’t any romantic scenes between these two characters—there were. It just wasn’t the main focus of the story. I enjoyed Emy’s best friend, Chloe, and Jackson’s sister, Jessica. They provided a fun, comedic balance to the story.

Thank you, Swipe the Book PR for the gifted reader copy of “First Class Romance” and Author Camille Hope. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Oh my heart 😍 Love in Paris and all the feels! Such a sweet, fast paced romance that left me with goosebumps and heart eyes. Also, just loved how the side characters get in on the matchmaking. I hope the author writes more on those characters too 🥰

OMG! This book made me feel super nostalgic, remembering being a young professional and meeting my husband. I loved the brightness of the book. It's just so light, and a perfect summer/beach/holiday / anytime read. I couldn't wait to snuggle up on my couch and find out what was going to happen between Emy and Jackson.

A fast, fun, sweet read!

Tropes: Holiday romance, flight attendant/passenger, insta love
Dual POV 3rd person
While this is a cute story line and a fun little tour of Paris during the holidays, this book didn’t really grab me. Ultimately I think a rewrite to put this in first person would be very beneficial because the chapters are labeled with either the FMC/MMC so you assume it would be from only their perspective, but since it’s 3rd person the POV jumps within the chapters. Normally I don’t care about 1st vs 3rd person, and it’s not a huge deal in this book- I mean maybe it wouldn’t bother most people but I found it confusing at times. I also think another round of editing/polishing to clean up some of the repetitiveness would be helpful. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it.

Tropes: Holiday romance (Christmas), grumpy x sunshine, travel in paris, insta love, spice

Final Rating: 3.5/5⭐️

This was a very light, cute rom-com that follows Emy, a flight attendant, and Jackson, the lucky guy who sat in Emy’s section on a flight to Paris on Christmas Eve. The overall story was enjoyable; I liked the travel theme and touristy first date. These two were very insta-love, pretty much love at first sight, which led to an extremely fast-paced read. I think it would be perfect as a palate cleanser in between denser novels.

The reason this book lost a little bit of stars for me was because it was written in third person, but the chapters were set up like it was going to be in each characters POV? And throughout the book there were a few instances where it would randomly shift to first person for a sentence or a paragraph. This made reading it really confusing at times because when the characters would show up in the same chapter, you would get both of their thoughts/feelings. However, this was just my personal take & I highly encourage everyone to read bc the story is super cute!!

First Class Romance by @camillehopeauthor is a perfect book for people who love love. This book is a short and crisp read without much drama but so much love that happened in the city of love- Paris when a not so meet cute turns into roaming around the streets of Paris. But the love isn’t easy like that and all the fun is how they meet again.

Romance AND Paris! What could be better?! Loved this rom-com. It has the perfect amount of steam. As someone who loves to travel, I also really enjoyed all the places they visited in Paris. It made me want to plan another trip. The characters are well developed and have great sidekick friends that I hope get spinoffs! If you are a romance fan I definitely recommend grabbing this book. I devoured it in a day.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of ‘First Class Romance’ by new author, Camille Hope.

This rom-com has fun characters, a strong story that kept me interested, and a touch of spice. 🔥🔥🔥

In FCR, we meet a flight attendant named Emy and a first class passenger named Jackson en route from New York to Paris on Christmas Eve. While sparks immediately fly, the two embark on an unexpected and exciting journey. They are able to spend an unforgettable Christmas Day together in Paris, but will their relationship last through New Year’s Eve? 🤭

Super easy reading and the perfect book to bring on vacay, except in my case, I started it on the plane and finished it before we landed in Los Cabos.

Coming out August 6, 2024 with more books to follow in the series! I’m excited to read more from Hope and follow Emy, Jackson and their friends.

There was tons of potential for this book/story/plot, but ultimately this book was a struggle for me to finish.

I absolutely love a good rom-com and I was so excited to see this book come out and I was SO excited for the premise of it.

It is fast paced and lighthearted. However, the author’s over use of characters names, when it was obvious who was talking, infuriated me. I understand the concept of anchoring your characters, but when it’s clear which character is in question, the use of pronouns goes a long way. For some clarification: this book uses the main characters name 958 times (yes, I checked) and is just over 220 pages long.

Along with the overuse of proper nouns, the discrepancies in the story were hard for me to overcome. It seemed like the author couldn’t decide if it was 1st person or 3rd person and I struggled with the use of both past and present tense in the same paragraph.

Though not the best I’ve read, the book offered a fast paced sweet story that if you love Insta-love and love-at-first-sight tropes, it’s for you!

First Class Romance is a quick hallmark read that I would recommend. I was selected as an ARC reviewer for this debut novel and below is my honest review.

First Class Romance by Camille Hope is a debut novel by the author. I was excited to read this book. It was a very quick read and had all the characteristics of a Hallmark movie but in book form.

I hate doing spoilers in my reviews, so I will refrain from putting any in here. But here is a list of pros:
-M/F love story
-Christmas in Paris
-Sweet and swoony romance between a single guy and a flight attendant.
-I love that Camille Hope is making a series following the flight attendants.
-I love that Camille Hope took her personal experiences to make romance novels.

Cons:
-I think for a debut novel this is really good. I do think the writing needs a bit more development but it did not deter me from loving this debut novel of hers. I have every faith that Camille will develop more and more with each book.

I gave this a ⅘ stars mostly for just the developmental portion. I think that if you love sweet romance novels, Hallmark movies and meet-cutes, this book will definitely be for you. Also, I loved that this was a Christmas novel I enjoyed in July. I love these kinds of reads.

it’s such a sweet, heartwarming story! Emy Nichols is this adventurous flight attendant who’s been flying all over the world, but her love life? Totally grounded. Then, she meets this grumpy guy sitting in seat 1A on one of her flights, and things get interesting fast. I mean, we’re talking an unexpected romance that takes off mid-air (pun intended).

What's cool is how it's set in Paris during Christmas, which, honestly, is the perfect backdrop for any romance, right? You’ve got that cozy holiday vibe mixed with the whirlwind of emotions between Emy and Jackson. And yeah, things move pretty quickly between them—like, love-at-first-sight fast—but somehow it works. Plus, their chemistry isn’t just about the romance; there’s this sweet connection that makes you root for them.

It was such a quick, feel-good read, perfect for anyone looking to escape for a few hours. Plus, if you’re into Paris, Christmas, and unexpected love stories, this one’s for you! It’s Camille Hope’s debut, and I’m already excited to see what she writes next!💖

The mushy, heart warming union of Emy(Emerson) and Jackson will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy. The love blossoms in the gorgeous City of Light and how apt, now that the Paris Olympics are ongoing.

Emy is a flight attendant with Infinite Airlines and has loving and supportive friends who act as catalysts to propel this love story. The fun and thrilling life 30,000 feet above the ground is described beautifully.

Jackson Riley is the MMC, in his 30's who falls first for the green eyed, petite Emy. He too has a great family set up who stand by him in his time of need.

The romantic backdrop of Christmas, New Year's and Emy's best friend, Chloe's upcoming wedding, adds immense charm to the book.

I'm super happy to have been able to read this book and provide a review. It deserves all the love for being a wonderful debut novel by Camille Hope.

The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is that there are certain places in the book where the thoughts and sentences are repeated which dims the intensity and depth of the feelings or narration.

Overall, a great, light read. Looking forward to the 2nd book!

First class Romance, a debut novel by Camille Hope🧳✈️🌎

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5), 🌶️🌶️ (2/5)

I was given the opportunity to read and review this novel as an ARC and it did not disappoint! I was so excited to read a novel by a new author and as I kept reading I got more excited. Camille Hope has quickly made her way to being one of my favorite authors and I will easily be reading anything by her from now on. To begin with, I am a Paris and Christmas lover so combining these two in a romance book already had me fan girling. The novel is very fast paced and I loved this as it made the perfect book for me to enjoy on my day off. The spice came quick in the book but still we get to know the characters well enough to be connected to them. This story definitely goes out to all of my girls who sometimes feel like they won’t find their person especially while everyone around them seems to be different (I’m right there with you)! I am begging you to preorder this book now for release on August 6th!

What to expect when reading First Class Romance;
-Duel POV
-Paris
-Holiday Romance
-He falls first

Why was this the cutest book!

Flight attendant Emy meets Jackson on a flight to Paris during Christmas. When I say I think this is what everyone hopes for. You meet a handsome stranger, enjoy a day in Paris, only you hit a bump in the road because he has to stay and you have to fly back. Jackson really pulled out all the stops and I was so there for it! Their second meet cute was genius🙌 If you love a cute, sweet and adorable book about love at for sight this is for you!

Fav Line: “I have coffee with Bradley Cooper not Jake Gyllenhall” & “I think you misplaced your napkin sir”

Make sure you get the book when it releases on August 6th🧡

Emerson & Jackson🥹🤍

This was such a cute fast read! I loved every minute / second of it!

All the story was cute and the charge were very well written, I loved the bond the flight crew had within each other🫶🏻

I loved Emery & Chloe’s friendship, & if it weren’t for Chloe interfering and setting her up she never would’ve found the love of her life.

I loved how quick emery and Jackson bonded they were literally made for one another!

They’re cute little dates around Paris were my fave🥹🫶🏻

When he lost her number I seriously thought that was it for them all hope was lost , but that wasn’t the case!

I really enjoyed their story and I can not wait to read Chloe’s story in the next book!!

ARC Review!

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

This was such a cute, quick read for me! I always appreciate short chapters. I loved the main characters and the Christmas in Paris parts. The grumpy X sunshine trope was perfect! The side characters helping bring the main characters together was fun and I can’t wait to see their stories from this author!

However, I was confused by the third-person POV and had a hard time reading it that way. The chapters weren’t really in the character’s POV and had both thoughts going at the same time so that was a little confusing. It didn’t have a lot of depth for the characters and just skimmed the surface it seemed. Some of the character building seemed rushed and so did some of the open door romance parts.

Other than that, it was fun read and I can’t wait to see what else happens in this series!

Thank you for my advanced copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's such a cute love story. Emma is a flight attendant and Jackson looks after his family business. His family has a lot of galleries and to acquire some new artworks Jackson had to go to Paris on Christmas Eve. He was initially grumpy but then he met Emma. At first he was rude with her too but eventually after a good nap he felt connected towards her and they spent a really fun Christmas together. The climax is skillfully executed and I think the ending was perfect. I would love to read more books in this Infinity Airlines universe.

Emy is a flight attendant who is looking forward to spending a Christmas in Paris with her best friend. After running into a handsome passenger from their flight, Emy has one day, Christmas Day, to spend in Paris. A lot can happen in 24 hours in the City of Love, but is what Emy and Jackson have for real?

I was so excited to be able to get an ARC copy of Camille Hope's debut novel, First Class Romance. This was a quick and fun read, that I was able to read in one sitting. It has the recipes for a cute romance, and has lots of page turning moments that keep the story rolling. Emy and Jackson are super lovable characters, who are supported by a fantastic cast of secondary characters. I was definitely rooting for these two, and couldn't put down the book until I knew how their story ended.

This book is a very fast-paced love story. I loved the twists and how this book ended it was really cute. I did wish that if it was going to stick to two points of views of the main characters that the book would do that all the way through instead of the characters and then a narrator or that's how it felt to me. But overall, I would recommend this travel love story.

✈️This book could be a movie. Set around Christmas, Emy and Jackson both find themselves on a flight to Paris. They are without their own families and are both working!

🧳Emy is the professional flight attendant, who has sworn off dating passengers. Jackson is representing his family at their gallery, since he has no attachments.

✈️This book is full of Parisian adventures, small worlds, and nearly missed connections.

🧳When a spilled cup of coffee almost ruins everything you will be so intrigued by what plays out.

✈️I loved that the characters were in their 30s and were established adults! Emy’s best friend Chloe was the MVP throughout this story for her work toward Emy’s happy ending!

🧳I absolutely cannot wait for the stories of the rest of the ladies of Infinite Airlines!

I was completely wrapped up in Emy and Jackson's story. I absolutely loved this book. And the place setting couldn't be more perfect! Christmas in Paris would be amazing, and these two make the most of it. I know the trope said he falls first, but I honestly think it was both at the same time! When you know, you know!
Can't wait for the next books to follow. Camille Hope did an amazing job with this!

There was friendships, travel, family and most important of all ROMANCE 😍

I loved following Emy’s journey from start to finish. She had highs and lows and of course a happy ending. I also loved how the side characters had fun with the conflict. Just overall a nice & fun read with a dash of spice.
