Her being pregnant with his dead cousin's baby was such a turn off for me

Amazingly written, this story deals with inheritance and power struggles that are forced upon the people who stand to inherit. A very powerful Family, the Garrett’s, owner of worldwide hotel chains has lost two very important powerful men in the last six months: one being the CEO Victor Garrett and his grandson Jackson Garrett. His widow Amelia is now the acting leader, whose abilities are constantly tested but more so because she’s a woman will lead her to enormous challenges and a gift of life she was not expecting. She is to face her dead husband’s cousin Damien Blake-Garrett, as co-owner of the company as the will stipulates and she’ll have to show strength and resilience like no woman has ever had to do, in order to survive the ordeal she is faced with. This storyline has it all, the over the charts chemistry between Amelia and Damien, the deceitful manipulations from outside parties involved , the willingness and determination in both main characters to finding their HEA makes this reading a must. A real page turner from the very beginning! A 5 stars rating!

Amelia and Damien’s Conflict . . .

A wealthy and powerful family who own multiple hotels leaves the family business in quick need of leadership when two important family members die months apart, CEO Victor Garrett and his grandson Jackson. Victor had been insistent in his Will that the two Garrett heirs would work together to run the company – but he was assuming “male” heirs and Amelia was ready to fight that if she had to. But that leaves Amelia and her deceased husband’s cousin, Damien Blake-Garrett, as the top co-owners, each owning half the business, and puts both of them at odds about how the business will be run. When they ultimately let the attraction they have been ignoring consume them, will they try to have a real relationship? Or will things change back to “business as usual” in the workplace? Nothing is ever easy, and there will be those who will make choices difficult as the conflict escalates. Can a relationship withstand these pressures? Can they defy the odds and find their HEA regardless?

Amelia Garrett just wants to move past her husband's untimely death and run his family's business in peace.

Damien Blake just wants his restaurant empire to thrive and his mom to quit her push for his "rightful place" in the family business that he was kicked out of years ago.

They become reluctant co-owners of said family business and unexpectedly fall into more with each other.

Very well written with a plot and even some suspense that hooks you in from the first line on page one. Great character development and you'll definitely be rooting for Amelia and Damien before they ever admit anything to themselves in the pages.

Battle lines are drawn when the two Garrett men pass away leaving a cousin and grieving widow as the top owners of the family resorts. Amelia and Damian are at odds with each other until lines are crossed and feelings begin to grow between them. Will they come to an understanding about the family business that separates them and will it lead them to a happily ever after. This exciting story had me all caught up in it from the first page.

This is a book in the Sizzling Billionaires Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is an age gap, enemies to lovers romance between Amelia and Damian. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional page turner.

Loved this story ❤️! The conflict between heirs in a family of ex's, spouses, widows, and chavenist men. After being thrown into a position that she is well suited for, but shunned/ ignored because the person felt women were not allowed in high level positions. After running into the now co- owner of the company with her, the rivalry begins. Fun, flirty, antagonistic, and downright feisty, they begin. Doesn't disappoint.

Fantastic reading experience

Absolutely loved Damian & Amelia's rollercoaster ride of story. Right from page 1 the author had me totally hooked with the unexpected twists in their story. They should be enemies but fighting the pull between them is a lesson in futility. Through in plenty of family drama & betrayal & you have one fantastic read. Will Damian & Amelia's story in tears & heartache or a HEA?.

A winning book

Amelia and Damian start as enemies but grow together in a very sweet love story. Amelia, a recent widow, struggles to lead a male dominated company. She quietly battles to succeed against various adversaries while grieving, dealing with pregnancy, and falling in love. Damian changes his womanizing ways and grows to be a loving and supportive partner. This is one of Ms. Hart's best books.

This was a true page turner! I couldn't put it down! Amelia was thrown into the role of CEO after her husband passed away. But when her husband's cousin Damien came into to run the hotel chain they started to but heads. Amelia had to show her strengths and stand up to Damien. That is until they give into the emotions building between them.

I love how the widow, Amelia is a strong woman who doesn't let men push her around in a company that has been run by generations of men who were told women couldn't be in charge. She then becomes involved with her deceased husband's cousin while pregnant. This was a very well written book that will keep you entertained. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely did not expect the turn of events to be because of his mom!
Such a page turner.
The only thing missing was that the relationship was too insta BOOM for the depth of the story. I would have liked to see their inner workings and conflict development be more drawn out.

This book was a sweet and a super fast read. Would recommend for anyone who wants a short, quick read.
