Paige Turner #1

Adventures of a Bookworm

Rate this book
What happens when the bookworm becomes the main character?

Paige Turner and her book club friends live a thousand lives through the characters of their romance books. In real life, they’re just one of the millions of people running around New York City. That is until a New Year’s Resolution to lose her virginity forces Paige to step out from behind the pages of her books. Paige strikes out on romantic adventures inspired by the main characters of her favorite romance books from every genre and trope to fulfill her resolution.

Paige learns that it’s a truth universally acknowledged that billionaire bosses are hot, that some meet-cutes aren’t cute at all, that furries can fill in for shifters in a pinch to fulfill a paranormal romance trope, and sometimes that sexy cop really is there to arrest you.

Paige is in for the adventure of her life, from virginity auctions to secret clubs to emergency room visits. But she learns that it’s not the romance that makes the heroine the main character. It’s finding her inner strength, determination, and confidence that makes her the heroine of her own story. Can Paige fulfill her New Year’s resolution without getting arrested or fired and maybe even find herself and love by the end of the year?

Book Title: Adventures of a Bookworm
Author: Kathleen Brooks
Rating: ⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️
Release Date: OUT NOW
Gifted by: The Author Agency

This book was a wild ride from start to finish. I understand where the author was trying to go with this book and while the concept does sound good, this book unfortunately just wasn’t for me. The fact that this book ended on a cliff-hanger, was the icing on the cake for me and didn’t sit well with me at all. On a positive note, some of the things that happened in the book did have me giggling and it was a fast paced read.

I did have a giggle that her name was Paige Turner and she was an avid book reader. Her friends seemed fun and very supportive which we love. Just when I thought I knew where we were headed and that she may finally pick ONE guy (looking at you Max) something happened and another guy was introduced. It’s crazy to me that we ended the book with 4 potential love interests, and before you ask no this is not a why choose.

In saying all this, will I read the next book once it’s out to find out what happens with Miss Paige Turner, you betcha I will.

🌶️

Paige Turner is my spirit animal. I connected to her with my soul. As I too at a young age used books as a form of escapism.

This book inspired me to make my new year's resolution for 2025, to be "live the year as if we were the main character in our favorite book". Given I've always admired the FMCs in my favorite books, I think it's time to become as brave as the two women I am thinking of. And the journaling each day is genius.

Paige's experiences with making fiction reality is another reminder that book boyfriends are much better. While her adventures were amusing they were also painful to read at times lol.

Paige and her friends are hilarious there were times I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.

"Romance novels don’t ruin women’s expectations. Book boyfriends just show women that men who care about pleasing a woman are very real and women are entitled to that." THISSSSS!!!!

"I don’t need a man to make my life complete. However, when I find a man who will compliment, support, and enhance my life, maybe I will think of settling down." What an empowering moment for readers and Paige.

The third person narration took some time to get used to, but didn't take away from the overall experience. If anything it added to it, reminded me of the side narrations Disney Channel used to do back in the day.

This was the most unrealistic, yet realistic book about romance and the struggles of navigating through this thing called life. And I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Especially because it reminded me of the importance of stepping outside of ones comfort zone.

I'm team Max all the way. Leah and Noah are endgame (even if Leah won't admit it lol). I'm looking forward to rooting for Amelia and Felix. And I hope Eli gets his happy ending.

Overall this book was a great read, and a good reset for my reading slump. I loved watching the events of Paige's reverse harem play out. I laughed so many times, while being on the edge of my seats waiting to see what happens next.

Paige and her book club besties have spent their days living out their ideal lives through the books they read. As a new years prompt, they decide to take matters into their own lives and live life like their favourite characters. Paige's biggest mission? To live through her favourite tropes and finally get rid of the virginity she thinks hangs like a cloud over her. She also wants to be more assertive at work and finally figure out who she really is when she's not hiding behind her books.

*****

This was an unexpectedly amazing novel. The pacing is incredible, for the short length, it feels as if it's rich in both character and also ridiculous antics. I absolutely fell in love with Paige. She isn't the typical virgin trope. She's truly someone who's come from a small town, still figuring herself out, and holding a bit of a soft view of her own self-worth. Seeing her having the gumption to try some absolutely ridiculous tropes had me cackling as I stayed up late into the night to read this one. I expected to be embarrassed or be rolling my eyes but she was so genuine, and any attempt intimacy just went so incredibly sideways that it had me burning the midnight oil to see what else she could get herself into, and out of, in progressively stranger ways.

I loved seeing the male tropes play out with her billionaire "bosshole" being put in his place, meeting a hot cop in the most ridiculous way, an alpha dude at a furry convention, a hot doctor in the inevitable trip to the ER, and of course a BDSM club because who hasn't read a book with one? It was so entertaining to see the scenes play out in a comedy of errors of how different real life is to romance novels. Each step watching Paige grow not only in her professional life but in her personal life with the friends she makes along the way.

This one is an absolute must-read, especially if you love romance novels and all of the tropes that encompass the genre.

*****

2.5 stars, rounded down because I just lost interest in the final quarter of the book. The premise sounded funny - and it was, for a while - but eventually it seemed like the focus of the story shifted and the author’s focus was more on hammering home a feminist message than on telling a story. By the final 25% of the book I felt like I was reading an essay instead of a novel.

I was originally planning to read the sequels, but having finished it I can say I’m no longer interested. There’s no reason to continue reading: all the major plot points have been wrapped up, and the only lingering question is, who is that “hot marine” that wanted to dance with Paige at the end of the book? It’s not enough to hold my attention.

TL;DR: a fun read until about 75%. Too many soapbox speeches toward the end. Not reading the rest of the series.

The 4 stars were for the overal premise and characters.
This bookworm is living a very vivid life haha but I enjoyed the disasters and the way she found her feet towards the end in her own story.
I will be reading the other two for sure.

It was an easy read with likeable characters

The editing on this was poor (perhaps self-published?). There were a few incorrect areas / need work, but they didn't have a major impact on me enjoying the book.

An author living ALL the tropes in real life? Sign me up. Note: the book does end on a cliff, and book two will be here in Nov ’24.

Paige Turner takes us on an adventure with all the tropes. She and her book club friends decide to make a pact for new life experiences, taking the lead from their favorite books.

I loved this book; it was easy to read, had wonderful characters, and had plenty of laughs. A reminder that while books are an escape, we do need to live life outside of books.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Paige Turner and her bookclub friends live their lives in their books. So what could possibly go wrong when Paige decides to make a New Year’s Resolution to lose her virginity and use her romance book tropes as her guide?

What happens is a hilarious story full of laugh out loud mishaps that actually make Paige grow as a person and become more confident. Add in a sexy cop, cute doctor, and hot boss and well what else do you need?

I absolutely loved the banter between the friend group!!! This book had me laughing out loud and rooting for this group to all have their happy endings.

This is a lighthearted, feel good, quick read with a cliff hanger ending. I highly recommend this read, especially if you are a bookworm like me!!!

Omg I just loved these books! I read/listens to all three in one day, I couldn’t stop! I went through a roller coaster with this book. Laughing, cackling, kicking my feet! And screaming OMG!
Everything she does in these books is perfection even though it doesn’t turn out that way!
And omg the plot twist AND THEN the plot twist I didn’t see coming had my jump straight off the couch shouting! Holy bookworm.

I am new to this author and now I’m going to have to go read every single book she’s ever written!

Thank you to Kathleen and The Author Agency for these amazing reads. I was hooked right away!

In Adventures of a Bookworm By Kathleen Brooks (Paige Turner #1), bookworm Paige Turner makes a New Year’s Resolution with her book club friends to get out of their comfort zones, which changes her life in ways she couldn’t have imagined. Her New Year’s Resolution to lose her virginity takes her on romantic adventures around New York City that are inspired by tropes and genres experienced by the lead characters from her favorite romances.

Brooks’s romance trope premise that the heroine uses to meet her New Year’s resolution of losing her virginity made me so curious—as a romance book reader/lover—I couldn’t resist reading it. Her colorful dialogue, vivid descriptions, quick pacing, and lively writing immediately drew me into the story. She deftly develops her fascinating, authentic, complex, likable, relatable, but messy, fallible, and conflicted characters through snarky, hilarious, sexy, and sometimes bizarre interactions. Brook’s use of romance tropes and genres is creative. Her worldbuilding is terrific, with detailed descriptions that bring these scenes to life.

The variety of characters and personality types that surround Paige in the novel is fascinating. I love Paige and her book club friends and their interactions. They are funny and relatable romance-loving bookworms. The love, support, and encouragement they show each other are friendship goals. Paige’s relationship with her billionaire boss, Jack, is something else. He’s a big jerk at first, but he mellows somewhat. Then, their interactions become more interesting and satisfying, thanks to the mystery, chemistry, and humor that Brooks infuses them with. I love her scenes with the sexy cop, who always seems to be in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time. Sweet, funny, and a little snarky, with a hint of chemistry and potential for something more, their scenes together reveal and help evolve Paige's character. That’s about all I can say about him. Her scenes with her book club friends and her billionaire boss do, too.

I think I may have written into the novel my expectations for a romantic relationship with the heroine losing her virginity, falling in love, and living HEA with whoever she ultimately falls for, and that’s not quite where this story is at. Paige is on a journey that’s just beginning for her, and while it’s an exciting, crazy, and fun adventure, it’s just not for me right now. But I love Brook’s evolution of Paige's character. She learns some important things about herself.

Although I didn’t enjoy Adventures of a Bookworm as much as I expected to, it’s a sweet, steamy, hilarious, sexy, emotional, and fast-paced read made for fans of romcom, FMC Self-Discovery, Fake Dating, romance checklist, BDSM Lite, book club friendship Virgin FMC, and potential love interests that include billionaire boss, law enforcement, and a doctor. It explores themes of self-discovery, finding yourself, following your dreams, discovering and following your passions in life, finding out what’s important to you, stepping outside your comfort zone, and gaining confidence.

I’ll admit I was expecting, based on the blurb, for this to have a HEA/HFN ending but apparently it’s part of a series … good thing it was so dang fun that I’ll be lining up to get the next one! I love Paige and her friends – how they support each other, care for each other, and give each other those little pushes when they are needed. And are right there in the middle of every crazy adventure.

Whew, does Paige have some adventures. I love that she uses romance tropes as the catalyst for each one and Brooks does a good job of making them wacky and humorous, but not so out there that they aren’t believable. I mean, sure there are a lot of coincidences. No way would that many people just happen to be in the same part of New York at these amazingly convenient (and inconvenient) times. But I was glued to the pages, anxious to see what scrapes Paige would get into next, what hottie she would find, and what she’d learn along the way.

Loaded with humor, supportive friends, and more than a few hotties, Adventures of a Bookworm is a fun romp but it’s also more. It’s about Paige and her friends putting themselves out there. Learning about themselves, going after what they want, and growing into more confident, stronger people. I’m not usually a cliffhanger type of person – and its important to note that there is one here – but I’ve discovered that I’m willing to put up a lot for a good read. And Brooks definitely delivers.

**I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**

It’s almost New Year’s and time for those resolutions. But this year, Paige Turner and her friends are doing it bookworm style! They all vow to live more like the characters they read about. While all of the friends (Eli, Amelia, Leah and Paige) hope to improve their dating lives to reflect the characters in the romances they love so much, Paige has an extra goal in mind . . . losing her V card status!

Hilarity ensues as Paige goes through a variety of romantic tropes with each outing ending up in a disaster of some sort! Along the way, however, she meets some really amazing people. And, honestly, each misadventure is funnier than the next! All the while, Paige begins living her best life by beginning to take chances on herself and putting herself out there with a new confidence that has her fast tracking her career as well. And, without her even realizing it, she has started collecting a harem of men - all who want her for different reasons.

I really loved this group of friends and all of the extras they began collecting along the way throughout their adventures! The plot is utterly ridiculous, but so very funny. As a bookworm myself I couldn’t wait to see which trope Paige would tackle next. Watching Paige try to take on classic romance setups from meet cute to fake relationship and more is fantastic and hilarious! No one can have this bad of luck, but it totally works for this book and I can’t wait to see where her adventures take us next! 4 stars!

Adventures of a Bookworm (Paige Turner #1) by Kathleen Brooks

Fair warning this does end on a cliff hanger and once you finish you'll want to read it again.

I was kindly provided with this book (censorship is BS and I hate it but here we are!)

3.5 stars. Advanced warning; this book ends on a cliffhanger.

The plot - This has got ALL the tropes. It’s very much a ‘breaking the fourth wall’ kinda vibe book with friends to lovers, law enforcement, love triangle, billionaire, workplace. No smut really, one scene of fondling so 1/5 on the spice scale. It’s also a cliffhanger and I’m ANNOYED ABOUT IT??
I’m.. kinda let down by this one? It’s a cliffhanger, there are like 4 different guys the FMC could end up with, and I hate it.
The plot is very on the nose, but it worked!

The characters - The characters in this book were like balm to my wounds this book created. The FMC is Paige, she’s a virgin, not very experienced in the romance department and trying to open herself up to new experiences. She makes a pact with her book club besties. Her friends are Eli, the gay Broadway star who is willing to do anything to help Paige out. Leah is outspoken, loud and unashamed of her sexuality. Her issue is that she can’t commit, and Paige wants to help her with that. That leaves quiet Amelia, who has a mega crush on the guy who owns the coffee shop they visit, but she can’t talk to him. As Paige goes out of her way to achieve her New Years resolutions, Amelia gets inspired too.

Paige and her friends have a book club, favouring romance of any kind as their focus. They each have a New Year’s resolution to be more like the brave characters, most often women, from their books.

For Paige the assignment is to follow as many tropes as possible in an effort to lose her virginity. Her friends have their own challenges, one trying to be more commitment friendly, one getting away from hookup apps, and the shy one talking to her crush, who owns the coffee shop where they all meet.

Paige is brave enough to stand up to her boss and pursue a promotion and raise. She goes to a a number of places, meets a lot of people, strange, fun, and often landing her in trouble, so that one person she keeps meeting is a cop.

The story has a great premise, and at first the foibles of Paige are cute, but it becomes weird as she attends a
Furry convention, a sex club, and tries to auction off her virginity, sort of.

I didn’t like how much danger she kept putting herself in, even with her friends around, and even after suspending my belief, it got too silly as well.

The worst part was the ending, which was a totally unnecessary cliff hanger about which guy she chooses, because really, she’s not that great after all her ridiculous choices.

This was an unfortunate read, not worth the time.

OK so I want to be really honest and say that I went into this book with very low expectations.. how ever I was pleasantly surprised how good it was, it took me less then a day to read and I really couldn’t put it down!

Paige is a self proclaimed romance girly (shoutout to us) and when the end of the year comes and her and her book club besties, are exactly happy with where things are in life, they decide to live vicariously through the pages of romance novels, and becomes the main character, starting with Paige losing her virginity.

So with adventures Inspired by the some of our favorite tropes Paige ends up on a lot of chaotic, funny and interesting adventures. From the disastrous meet cutes, a hot billionaire boss and she even almost found herself in weird why choose situation

And of course she had her girl gang by her side though all of her shenanigans and trust me there were alot of them. But I’m the end, well kinda because this book did end on a cliff hanger.. Paige realizes losing her virginity and finding a man isn’t the most important thing.. but having confidence and finding her voice was.

I’m actually very excited to read the next book in this series because I need to know who she will end up with? I’m rooting for you Max and Jake is a hot billionaire so who knows lol.

Rating: 3.5/5
Spice 2/5

This book is about Paige Turner who is a total bookworm. Paige is a totally relatable bookworm. The author talks about how she gets lost in books, the tropes she loves, and the friends of hers she has that are also bookworms and that part of the story felt very relatable. Paige and her book friends meet every year for New Year Resolutions and this year they decide that Paige is going to try to lose her V card in a bookish way. Paige sets out with a mission to find some book tropes she might be able to use to lose her virginity. However, luck and tropes are not on Paige’s side in this book and this book ends on a cliff hanger so you’ll have to wait until the next book for more adventures.

The story was cute. The ways Paige is trying to bring books into her real life and the tropes she uses will make you chuckle and smile. I felt like the misfortunes were heavy in the book. I would’ve liked to see more of the story in between her failed attempts. The other thing for me was I felt like the tropes in this book were definitely there but not in the way that I’m used to reading about them but they were still good!

Super cute little book. The next one comes out

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this hard or connected so much with a book before! Paige, the main character, has lived through every single trope I would have dreamed of trying—and somehow, every one of them has gone completely off the rails. The way her life unfolds is pure chaos in the best possible way, making it impossible to put this book down. By the time I hit the halfway mark, I knew I couldn’t keep this experience to myself. I immediately convinced my friends to do a buddy read, backtracked, and started over just so I could properly document my reactions in our reading app. That’s how much fun this book is!

Honestly, the only reason I’m not immediately rereading it is because I have book two sitting right here, and I need to know what happens next. But I already know this is one I’ll be coming back to again! While there’s no actual on-page sex, the constant references and Paige’s wildly entertaining experiences definitely earn this book at least a one-chili-pepper rating. It’s playful, suggestive, and filled with enough mishaps to keep things hilarious while still bringing the heat in its own way. If you love books that feel like a rollercoaster of tropes, disasters, and pure entertainment, do yourself a favor and pick this up.

Arc Book Review “Adventures of a Bookworm” (Paige Turner #1) by @kathleenbrooksauthor now available on Kindle unlimited!

This is my first book with this author and what an incredibly witty and fun read this was.

Paige Turner and her circle of book loving friends, live their lives through the pages of the romance novels they love. That is until Paige decides to become the FMC in her own life, which is met with numerous laugh out loud adventures and hijinks.

This book was wonderfully fresh from many other romantic comedies I’ve read and each character is compelling. Aside from all the shenanigans, the personal growth of Paige and reading about her finding her own strength.

“This was the new Paige. The women in her romance books wouldn’t run. They never backed down. They stood up for themselves and what was right.”

I’m already anxious to see what the other characters will find on their own adventures.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Paige Turner along with her book club friends, Leah, Amelia, and Eli had a New Year’s resolution. They will be the main characters of their lives and try out moments and tropes form their favorite books. Paige is a twenty five year old, she is pure and a bookworm. She works at Griffin Publishing as an assistant, but has great ambitions for more. The first step in her new resolution is to stood up to her boss. She did and it turned out wonderfully. Jack Griffin is a hot billionaire trope. At a very adventurous endeavour she meets hot Detective Max Caldwell. And of course, after a trip to ER, she meets hot doctor, Fraser.

Along with trying to lose her purity and be more adventurous, Paige has great accomplishments and fun. She finally started to find her way and understanding what she wants. Her friends are wonderful and was cool to see them grow and find their own resolutions. I can’t wait to find out more in the instalment.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a group of friends, romantic comedy then you’re going to love it.

ARC REVIEW
📖I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.📖

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️

This book from Kathleen Brooks really took me in a wild adventure. It’s less than 300 pages, yet it was full of eventful events. Paige’s journey in trying to find love got me laughing my heart out and also me wanting to give her a hug at times. She literally went through through alot. From start to finish, you really don’t know what’s gonna happen next. As you flip to the next page, I was surprised with all the events that took place in Paige’s life. It was great that her friends were there for her and were very supportive. Their scenes together were really heartwarming annd got me wanting a friendship like theirs. The cliffhanger at the end was also not expected. As I reached the end, I needed to know more and on who Paige’s love interest is 😉.

Overall, Adventures of a Bookworm plotline was unexpected, yet it was so addicting. It was hilarious, fast paced and quite charming. I highly recommend reading this book 📖.

This book is the feel good book of summer. I loved Paige and her book club friends.
Paige is on a mission after making a New Year's resolution to change her life, loose her V-card and life the life of the heroine of the books she reads.
And it started to 'rain men" she never saw coming, and she was living the life of a rom-com heroine. Max, Jack, Patrick Griz and Roman have her wondering who's going to be the one to get the prize... she and her friends give your lots of laughs, love and best of all friendship at it's best.

When reading this book, I LOL so many times I could not get my breath.
If you like Bridget Jones or the Perils of Pauline and I Love Lucy, you are going to LOVE this book. It tops anything I have read.
Don't walk to get this book....run.
Kathleen Brook as given us a new kind of book, and I can't wait to read the next book in the Bookworm series.
I see a movie series in the future...maybe.

I was completely charmed by “The Adventures of a Bookworm” by Kathleen Brooks. Who wouldn't love a story where a bookworm lives her best life through romantic escapades? I certainly didn't expect to be left hanging on a cliffhanger!

Paige's journey to lose her virginity, prompted by her book club's New Year’s resolutions, is nothing short of hilarious. Each misadventure is filled with laugh-out-loud moments that make Paige more confident and self-assured. Toss in a three hot MMCs, and you have a recipe for a delightful read.

The banter between Paige and her friends is fantastic! Their dynamic had me laughing and rooting for each of them to find their happy endings. This lighthearted, feel-good, quick read is perfect for any bookworm.

I’m eagerly awaiting book #2, “The Misadventures of a Bookworm,” coming in November! Highly recommend this one!

Thanks to Kathleen Brooks and The Author Agency for the copy of the book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Paige Turner is a total page turner.

Her life is outrageous, hilarious, scandalous, dangerous and results in a book you just cannot put down. We follow Paige through the first four months of the year here and she manages to cross paths with a Hot Cop, sexy Doctor, gay dancer, sweet coffee shop owner, alpha boss, alpha wolf, bear, spoilt socialite and Dom bartender...to mention just a few but she still never manages to get rid of that pesky V card!
This book has you laughing out loud, screeching in horror, sighing in sympathy and swooning as you join Paige on the crazy train that is her life.
This is a great first book in the series, very different from previous books by Kathleen Brooks, but very enjoyable with a great lead and an evening better support cast. I look forward to book two later in the year.

I have been waiting for this book since seeing it been advertised, the blurb is what i look for in a book but if I’m honest this book was so different to what I thought it was going to be.

Paige ( FMC) she is in a bookclub there met on New Year’s Eve to make there resolutions each of them decided on what there going to do Paige decided on giving her v card to someone but my god I don’t think i have smile so much reading how she gets on, all i will say it doesn’t go to plan 😂

Paige’s friendship group are fabulous 2 outspoken and one who is quiet but surprises her friends you get to see these grow as well as Paige.

The men who Paige meets on her journey are so different it great to see Paige grow her own character when she meets these only down side of this book we have to wait for book 2.

Book given to me as arc for my honest review

I absolutely adored this book. This is a new to me author and I felt that she did a wonderful job of creating this fun, unique group of characters and storyline.
The book was beautifully written and very easy to read.
It was a fun and humorous romcom. There were moments that I literally laughed out loud because this poor FMC has the worst luck. I also love that you see a lot of personal growth throughout the book with the FMC, I loved that she is truly finding herself in these pages.
Her book club friends, are a wonderful supporting cast and anyone would be lucky to have this group of friends by their side. Each has their own side story which made the book even more interesting.

If you don't know already, book #2 is on its way and I cannot wait for Misadventures of a Bookworm's release this fall.

This was given to me as an advanced readers copy. This is my honest opinion. As also, thank you for the opportunity, Kathleen Brooks and The author agency

Oh my , I so loved reading about the beginning of Paige's book themed adventures in real life. And it was funny and hilarious. She and her friends are finding some new friends through books and are slowly expanding their book club. All the events are happening so fast that Paige is overwhelmed and a bit confused of all that attention that's coming her way . And when all the dust settles I think she'll see clearly who's her guy . For now she had found her inner boss lady and channeled her in order to advance in her career. Loved it that Amelia found her courage to speak to Felix and he took the chance to show his interest in her . Leah is in denial about Noah . And Eli was brave enough to choose respect and self worth over fleeting and short lived excitement. That New Year Resolution to live more actively and take notes from their books was fun and genius idea . I so loved Paige and her friends adventures and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Thanks to the author and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.

The main characters only personality is that is a bookworm and a virgin. Those two words are said a million times.

Every man in this book is described as sexy and hot. Every male in the whole book - except one, whom she dislikes and thinks that if only he saw her in her underwear he'd faint dead away.

According to this book you can accomplish anything in life if you are wearing sexy underwear.

Everything in so overly sexualized that it gets annoying. No, if I am almost dying, I'm not noticing how hot the doctor is. And how unprofessional for a doctor to flirt with a patient - creepy if you ask me.

If there are grown women who actually think and act like this, no wonder the world's a mess. Oh but I forgot, she's a shy bookworm, you said it a million times.

And probably the worst part - saying "oh my bookworm" and "holy page turner" and the main characters name being Paige Turnner.
