Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.
He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.
This was apparently my second reading. (I need to get better about marking my books as read) It was sort of sad to read about Kylon while he's still married to his first wife since I'm well beyond that point in his life. It's interesting how much Caina is in his thoughts. I'd forgotten he had a bunch of bastard half brothers. Nice to know he doesn't follow in his father's footsteps in that regard. He overcomes a pretty significant evil in this short story and it looks like his older half brother won't be troubling him any longer about wanting to rule the family.
A so so short story from the Ghosts Exile series, didn't really bring a lot to it except to make it clear that Kylon will still be a fixture, which I suppose is good because it doesn't seem as if any of the other previous characters will reappear now that Caina has started a new circle.
