This book was non-stop action and drama from the opening remarks. Margo is an aspiring musician and songwriter, determined to make her mark. Her naivete to the world and the dangers it holds, as well as some of its more sinful pleasures, is evident, yet she has a quiet resilience, determination and strength. Nikko was raised on the harsh streets of Japan, far from Margo's idealic life. Brought into the Yakuza at a young age, he has known little else, besides his close friend and confidant, Cynthia. When he is made Margo's Handler as part of his punishment, it's the beginning of the end for them in that life. Would they survive to have a chance at something real, or would the Yakuza claim them as it had so many before?

This action packed novella travels the globe as these young people fight for their freedom from a controlling and ruthless enemy. You'll be on the edge of your seat at the maneuvers and risks they take, while cheering them on in their bid for freedom. Wow, this was an astonishing book to read it was amazing, the story was written well and the characters were really captivating. This story was about Nikko and Margo, Margo held captive with a few more people. Nikko works for the Yakuza he is skilfully trained in a few different martial arts and is a handler, he is sent to watch a few girls that are held in captive in this dungeon of debauchery, and will end up being a shell of a body with no soul.

The Handler is a gripping blend of danger, forbidden desire, and the desperate fight for freedom. Clarity Rankin delivers a fast paced, emotionally charged story that hooks you from page one. Nikko’s inner conflict as a loyal enforcer who suddenly discovers a conscience makes him a complex and compelling hero. Margo’s stolen dreams and fierce determination to survive give the story real heart.

Their connection feels electric, bringing light into a world filled with brutality and suspense. Every chapter raises the stakes, and the tension between love and survival kept me turning pages without stopping. It is equal parts raw, vulnerable, and intensely romantic.

OMG 😱 this story Nikko and Margo was so intrigued of the underworld of drama . I enjoyed reading this book. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Was love of the music was this their connection. Or was this mafia Yakuza was they faced with crime and corruption. Could these two be falling in love with each other in a romance moment.

Nikko and Margo experience captivity in the underground world with him as her protector. Their chemistry is immediately apparent and continues to build as their journey unfolds. This story is full of adventure and heroism as they work together with Cynthia to create a better life for themselves. Their love story is sweet and spicy. I recommend this book.
