She was born to hunt them, until she fell in love with them

Maria Foster’s move to Savannah, a small coastal town in Georgia, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But not much of her life was boring. She has lost count of how many times she and her grandfather have moved. He reminds her often that it comes with their responsibility. That responsibility, being a vampire hunter. They either move on after the job is done, or fleeing when they have been found, like now. She has never stayed in one place, or been the same person, for long. She has had so many names she has almost forgotten who she is. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring bad boy Adrian Starling, and his brother Elijah, Maria’s life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. She has never met a real vampire, until now. She finds herself balanced on the edge of a knife -- between desire and obligation.

Blood Moon captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with fangs.

Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
Book 2 follows straight on from the previous book's fast-paced events, so I recommend reading the series in order. Once again the period covered is quite short as happenings create chain reactions and secrecy brings more misunderstandings and confusion. Maria endeavours to maintain outward appearances as things unfold in her personal life; trying to grasp what she wants versus what others expect of her drives the action forward quickly. This book is full of thrilling excitement, gaining momentum towards another crisis point as the reader hits the last few pages. Bring on the next, please!

Blood Tide (The Vampire Hunter’s Diaries, Book 2)

Blood Tide (The Vampire Hunter’s Diaries, Book 2) ~  Blood Tide dives even deeper into darkness—and heartbreak. Now going by Raven Cross, Maria is drawn further into the vampire world, desperate to uncover the truth about herself and where Adrian Starling really stands. Their relationship grows more intense and fraught with every tense, stolen glance.

The plot takes a chilling turn when Raven learns more about her family. "Uncle Mike" is a real monster and so is the Brotherhood they all belong to..... I am starting to wonder who the bad people truly are because it sure isn't what they taught Maria.

I absolutely loved this book and had to dive straight into Book 3!

Book two of The Vampire Hunter's Diaries picks up right where book one ended, so do read book one so as not to feel lost. Book two moves the story along nicely with "Raven" having to figure out how to navigate alone ... for the time being. In book two she finds out secrets that had been withheld and regains memories lost to her. It does end in the only way it can after a terrific fight and I am aching to read the next.
I received this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my opinion of the tale.

The second novel in The Vampire Hunter’s Diaries, Blood Tide follows the story seamlessly from the first novel. Too many secret place Maria in jeopardy as she tries to protect her supposedly sworn enemies. The storyline is a nail-biter and the characters well-penned in this wonderful tale. And the way it ends….one can only await the next book with bated breath. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an excellent book. We're still following Raven/Maria as she tries to come to grips with her grandfather's death and her responsibility to carry out the job he trained her for. She learns about her past and has to make that fit her world view of the vampire she loves.
I love these characters and the ending of this one was a bit swoon-worthy and lovely.

Maria has gotten herself into quite a mess! Her grandfather is dead and now she has the chance to run and have the life she's always dreamed of, but to do that she'd have to leave the boy she's fallen in love with. Will she run or will this become even more of a tangled mess than it already is?
