LITTLE BUNNY, WHERE ARE YOU? is a cute and interactive board book. The book features repetitive lines with different animals, but a flap to lift and see a mirror on each page as they look for the reader. The book also includes a QR code to the story in song.
What I loved: This is a simple concept, but it is perfect for babies and young toddlers. The repetitive phrasing and rhythmic text is great for little ears to process and learn new words. Each page features simple illustrations of an animal and solid colors that allow young readers to focus in and follow along. The mirrors are also fantastic for this age group, as they will love seeing the baby peeking back at them.
The QR code song is also a lot of fun for parents who love to sing to their little ones. The font is large and clear throughout, making this an easy one to read aloud. It's a great pick to share with the youngest readers.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the flaps are cardstock-type thickness, so they will be dismantled by rip-the-flap readers. The mirrors are adhered in well, so they will remain!
Final verdict: LITTLE BUNNY, WHERE ARE YOU? is a sweet and entertaining board book for infants and young toddlers that is sure to be a hit whether read or sung.
Please note that I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.
A simple yet effective and enjoyable read for babies around 6 months who start to show interest in their reflections. The book engages them with four cute baby animal characters, repetitive text, large flaps, and a mirror on every other page. A song based on the "Finger Family" rhyme can be played by scanning the QR code on the back cover. It would be better if the flaps were more resistant to tearing.
In this mirror-filled board book [2.5 for me!] four animals are actually flaps that lift up to reveal a mirror into which your child can peer. The colorful artwork and repetitive language are just right for little ones. My rating is lower than it would be if they were ranking the book. Youngsters love to see themselves in one mirror, much less several.
Little Bunny: Where Are You? Is a sweet, unique, fun, cute, and delightful read! This book truly is phenomenal. I adore the wonderful animals in this book. There are five mirrors in this book. Little readers can rhyme along finding animals then find the mirrors where they can see themselves!
