There was not a single murderous villain or ride-or-die friend group in this story... SusuKhaa, I don't know what to do with this. I loved it as always, but the vibes are totally different from what I have come to expect. Anyways...
Kas and Alpha are best friends, but Alpha confesses in a public setting that he loves Kas and Kas bugs out. Cue the dramatic disappearing acts and misunderstandings. These two both literally run away from everyone when some kind of conflict comes up between them.
Obviously, they find their way back to each other, but they really had to learn to communicate. It was nice to see their long flirty journey back to each other. (Alpha fighting with his rude friends to defend his man was hot.)
There were a few times that I wanted to grab both of these idiots and slap some sense into them, but the drama is what keeps me coming back.
