While kissing Agathon, my soul leapt to my lips…
D i s a p p e a r a n c e – S e a r c h – R e t u r n
A story of time slipping, desire just out of reach, like memories lost…
At the beginning of the summer, I had to spend two weeks in hospital… If I hadn't fallen from the balcony, what happened later would likely never have happened at all.
So begins a memoir by a man trying to come to terms with the loss of a lover who is now a famous writer. He is given one more chance to forget by Vlado, the charismatic actor, who is not as successful as he believes. They will have a holiday to recover – find the lost love between them and bury their shared memories of Ivan. It will be a summer without you.

"I decided to go out that evening anyway. The city was decorated with flags and balloons. Stalls had been set up on the sidewalk. The streets were overflowing with people. I was sure Vlado was somewhere among them. Thousands of people I didn't know were moving towards me in an encounter like those I had been watching on the computer screen that morning in the registry of people who have disappeared. And while someone is desperately looking for them, they're calmly eating cotton candy at the fair. In front of one of the game booths there was a man standing with his back turned shooting an apple with an air rifle. I was standing a few metres away from him. He looked a lot like Vlado. But the way he walked, the clothes he was wearing, didn't look like him at all. He turned into a side street where a small stage had been set up. The man seemed to know I was following him, so he slipped into the crowd of people recording the concert on their phones. And then I lost sight of him."

Didn’t really love this one. Not sure if it’s because it has been translated. But it just seemed very disjointed and didn’t flow as it should. At least it was only 80 pages
