Marilyn Barr currently resides in the wilds of Kentucky with her husband, son, and rescue cats.

Six of spades is a second chance romance by S. Cinders. Tommy is home settling his father estate and hoping to rekindle things with Katie. She is a bit jaded from everything that has happened since he left but has never stopped loving him. Ida Jae definitely steals the show. She is quite the spitfire and has definite opinions about everything. I really loved their story and how they are able to work everything out.

Very well written group of stories for a great cause- cancer. Each and every one of these authors have written a story to touch your heart. Six of Spades is one of these stories asked to be reviewed. Tommy and Jade have unfinished business from years ago. They both have lots to offer the other but will need to settle the issues between them. They are able to get to their happily ever after. The other stories have lots of trial and errors to work on. All these will keep you reading and wanting more. Would recommend to everyone as it's for a great cause.

I read the novella Jack of Hearts by Ariella Talix. It's a fun, sexy romp about three people who find love together. The characters were all great, and I found myself hoping they'd have their HEA.

I can't wait to read the rest of the book when it's published.

Review for Six of Spades by S Cinders

Tommy left his hometown as living with his father became unbearable. Even back then he was in love with Katie but they were too young for him to ask her to go with him. Years later he is a country star but there is a whole in his life, Katie is not there. When he gets word his father died, he is heading back home to take care of his affairs.

Katie has not had an easy life, she married a not good man but he gave her Ida Jae, her precocious daughter. When she sees Tommy again, she knows all the feelings are still there but her life is the ranch, not on the road.

Will this be heartbreak again for both of them or is there a way this can work?.

Old Flame rekindled, be still my heart
Tommy Henderson is a famous country singer with the equally popular band, Leather and Lace. Tommy is back home to settle his father’s estate after his recent death when he runs into Katie Spade, his secret crush from years ago. After one night of hot Lovin Tommy and Katie know they should be together. The cutest part of the story is Katie’s eight-year-old daughter, precocious Ida Jae. This is a wonderful anthology in memory of one of the writers from their group. The story I am reviewing is Six of Spades by S. Cinders. It is a delightful story about the one that got away and the opportunity to go back and rekindle the love they once shared. It is a heartfelt story filled with laughter and renewed feelings between Tommy and Katie. Will they find their way back to each other and get a chance for happiness.

This book popped up on a readers list that I belong to because I subscribe to a couple of the authors. I am always up for a good anthology or a good cause. My brother died nearly 3 years ago from pancreatic cancer so I really have to pace myself with this one. The first quick read by S.Cinders is a feel good 2nd chance romance and deserves all the stars in itself. So good and I will enjoy each consecutive story in the coming days. Well done on this collection in memory of someone obviously special!.

Jack of Hearts by Ariella Talix

Three lost souls find each other when Jack invites them to a poker game and find their HEA together. Jack always seems to lose his heart to the wrong person so when he comes up with a penny ante poker game and just two people show up. So could they be the forever he hopes for with Juni and Asher.

This is an entertaining rockstar second chance short story, romance book that grabs your attention and holds it from beginning to end. The storyline is intriguing as the elements unfold. The characters are well written with steamy chemistry together. I enjoyed this book.

I read six of spades by S. cinders. Loved it! Great characters and great story. Had me right from the get go. This author always knows what I like. I couldn't get enough. I definitely plan to read more of this anthology but this story so far is fantastic.
