Find out what happens with the BAWSE FAMILY in this series finale.
Okay this was a cute last book. I was frustrated however by the lack of focus to the plot, if i can say that there was a plot. It is a lot of random moments that do not flow towards the ultimate plot of the Bishop and everything surrounding that situation. I did however enjoy a lot of the character development particularly in Symphani and Frequency. The main struggle with a book that deals with a lot of characters is that some get lost in the sauce and I am not sure if there is more coming because I was left wanting when it came to concluding on all the couples. The book was almost 600 pages but everything felt… unfinished.
Okay, let’s talk about it—this last book? Straight fire. That whole Bishop situation? Whewww, the drama was juicy and had me clutching my imaginary pearls. The buildup, the fallout, the emotion? Top tier. The Mixtape Series really knows how to spin a story with soul.
What really hit me was the character development—Symphani and Frequency showed up and showed out. Their growth was beautiful, raw, and so damn real. You feel every twist in their journey, like you right there with them, heart wide open.
Just like the first two books, I got completely lost in their world. The vibes, the culture, the energy—it’s all Black excellence and authenticity from cover to cover. It’s not just a story—it’s an experience. You hear the rhythm in the words, feel the pulse of the streets, and catch the heat in every connection.
And babyyyy, that cliffhanger? I’m stressed in the best way. I need that next book like yesterday.
The Mixtape Series is hands-down my favorite series of 2025 so far. Period. Five stars, no skips, all vibes. bold and urban and like a five star read
