Fae Bloodlines was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed the more modern take on the fantasy genre. Unlike some fantasy books, there isn't an overwhelming amount of information thrown at you in order for the plot to continue to make sense, which makes it easy to follow, whilst the author still manages to carefully craft the world and characters she creates so that we can follow their journeys throughout the novel and feel as if we can emphasise with them, specifically the main character Ruby as we can relate more to her humanity and why she struggles with the situation she is faced with. The book is great for any level of fantasy reader, whether you're just starting out or are well-experienced within the genre!
