Alisha Blanch is a 18-year-old self-published author from New South Wales, Australia. A lifelong lover of stories and books, Alisha began her writing journey at the age of 14 with her fantasy novel Asterinia, which remains a work in progress. At 16, she transitioned into poetry, releasing her debut poetry book, Epiphany, which is part of her larger collection Harmony Within Chaos: A Collection of Poetry and Prose. Alisha has been writing and reading since she could first remember, and her works are deeply influenced by her past traumas, relationships, and friendships that never lasted. Raised in New South Wales, she lives with her sister and grandparents. Her writing explores themes of heartbreak, healing, love, and loss, often drawn from her own personal experiences and the world around her. Many of her works, both completed and in progress, can be found on her Wattpad, where readers can explore projects such as The Bond Between Us, Beyond the Arena's Edge (a short story based on Asterinia), and her poetry collection Epiphany. In addition to her solo works, Alisha is a contributor to The Dance of the Cosmos Anthology, a project that celebrates the cosmos and supports The Trevor Project, and Made From Midnight ; a requiem Anthology, a project that supports The Doughy Centre. Through her writing, Alisha seeks to connect with others, exploring the beauty and complexity of emotions in a world that often feels both chaotic and harmonious.
I ordered this book months ago, but I finally got around to reading it, and I LOVED IT!
All the poems made me feel seen and understood. The poems were raw and described life beautifully. I loved how she formatted the book, with illustrations and having little chapters, full of different poems, based on the title. This is the first poetry book I've read (besides my own), so I truly didn't know what to expect, but she knocked it out of the park ♡ I love this book so much
All the poems and proses within the book were all amazing, many being relatable. I loved This book and can’t wait to read more books from Alisha in the future :)
The collection of poems is really beautiful and has an incredible choice of words. Also the detailed explanations of the headings of each poem is a very thoughtful approach especially for the people who do not have English as their first language. The poems hit your heart and soul and the aura is quite peaceful.
