“Moan less. I don’t need a performance,” I instruct the woman wearing a bunny mask and bouncing on my c*ck.
Almost made me puke, but that's just me and my aversion with on page scenes with OP. Also, I think this is second chance-ish story, so that opening scene immediately ruined the book for me.
Others might be fine with it, but not me, so DNF it is.

This book was surprisingly emotional, and I loved every second of it! 🥹 It has everything you'd expect from Kia's writing – emotions that tug at your heart, action that keeps you hooked, and those classic twists that leave you speechless.
Elanee is such a strong FMC, and I adored how her character was written. Same goes for Dmitri – they are the perfect "made for each other" couple. Their dynamic? 🔥

I read insidious obsession and loved it but this book takes the spot. I absolutely love Kia’s writing skills and how she can fit everything that makes you FEEL, into her books.
This dark romance follows Dimitri and Elanee who have both had painful pasts which has shaped them into who they are. Dimitri is dark and ruthless man who tries to fight every feeling. Elanee is the definition of strength, a strong yet broken woman who will quite happily sacrifice herself for those she cares about. Layla (Elanees twin) and Elanee’s relationship was the best, the bond and protectiveness was exactly what was needed for them both.
Dimitri and Elanee’s history and passion for each other was far too strong to not, not be together. They were each other’s destiny.
This book had everything. I wasn’t expecting to cry but here we are!!! It really was an emotional, heart wrenching read but absolutely perfect.

I WAS WAITING FOR ANOTHER BOOK IN THE INSIDIOUS OBSESSION SERIES AND IT’S FINALLY FUCKING HERE!
I was NOT EXPECTING Dmitri of all people for the second book! I definitely was super excited for it, since we only got to see a small glimpse of him in Insidious Obsession. AND HOLY SHIT. I didn’t even think Dmitri would be dealing with all of this shit first off, and second, I LOVED seeing a few cross over scenes and we were able to see Dmitri’s POV. Oh, and do not even get me started on his feelings and what he does for Elanee. WHAT A FUCKING KING. My heart goes out to him for real, and it absolutely FUCKING BROKE for Elanee, oh my god. Especially with those PLOT TWISTS?! And why she was where she was, and because of who! Don’t even get me started on how they treated her. I wanted to break some necks, for real. She did not deserve a single thing that happened to her, and her ways of trying to protect her family, let alone Dmitri, just made me respect her even more, even if it further shattered my heart into tiny fucking pieces.
You could NOT HAVE PREPARED me for those consistent BOMB DROPS. I couldn’t even barely grasp the first, and more were still coming. As my heart was breaking, my rage to beat the shit out of some people only grew stronger. Not that I physically could… but the thoughts were nice! HA! It was ABSOLUTELY IN-FUCKING-TENSE, and the outcome could not have been any better. I cannot wait to see what is in store, and I am hoping for a Lorenzo & Lily. THAT WOULD BE TOO CUTE. Oh, AND! I am still repping Dario!

Oh my gosh… I will warn you… once you start reading this story, you won’t be able to put it down! So much happens, and there is excitement and drama galore. I loved it! The darkness is real, but the light shines, too.
Dmitri Volkov was ruthless, determined, confident and once he had you in his target—nothing would sway him from his goal. I liked Dmitri in the first book, Insidious Obsession, but in this second book, where we get to know him more intimately, I alternated between wanting to hug and slap him. 🤣 I loved his support for those closest to him and his complete and utter loyalty. You really can’t help but love this man, though.
Elanee Land is oppressed, submissive, and fearful—to one the person who made her as such. She had always had spunk and the confidence to do as she pleased—before living in Russia. We could split her life into ‘Before Russia and After Russia’ because her whole world spins in both times. I loved her sass and great comebacks once she’d started to build more confidence.
The emotional ride you hop on continues right throughout the book. I was livid at characters and situations, delighted at others, laughing at the mischievous nature of some of them, and applauding others. I’m not ashamed to admit I had tears sliding down my face through some devastating revelations. The best thing, though, is that when you finish the story you realise what an epic love story it is, with a fantastic suspense element, too.

Dimitri is a man of dominant power and has cravings that are on the darker side, but he will do anything when it comes to his little cricket. Elanee left to pursue ballet, but she also left back the man that turned her down when she bared her heart to him. Now that she is back in New York on not so good circumstances and is trying to just survive, Dimitri will do anything in his power to free her from the Loin that has caged her. Oh how these two fit so well together in and out of the bedroom, but those spicy moments were so dang good though. He cares for her so much, but also understands that it has to be taken slow to protect the people included. I hated seeing him battle so much mentally & physically with his health and not to mention his father, but he kept his promise despite all the blocks in the road. Towards the end my heart felt so torn for Elanee because she suffered so much trauma from the previous years and it’s like you could feel it through the book, but Layla was seriously a lifeline in many ways for both of them. I definitely ate up the ending and Dimitri really said watch out I’m going to ruin you & make you fall for me.

Dmitri is close friends with Layla, Elanee's twin sister and neither have seen her in several years and when they do finally come face-to-face it's not the happy reunion that was once wanted!
This is full of secrets, betrayal, abuse, hope and determination and it's not an easy read at times. Their stories are sad and although they belong together, that doesn't mean they will be!
I liked the characters, liked the story and I'm definitely looking forward to more!

This month is hard to dedicate time to reading but this book kept pulling me back in time and time again.
The tension between Elanee and Dimitri was my favourite part but tension was rife throughout the book. I was hooked waiting the see what would happen with The Lion.
The tension is broken by moments of humour between the sisters and I really appreciated these little moments.
Elanee and Dimitri are definitely made for each other and I loved watching them find themselves on their own terms.

This author has crafted another amazing book in this series. She has created a world in which I love losing myself in. This story characters I never knew I needed in my life, and they live rent free in my head. I am not mad at it… I just have mad love for them and their story. My heart was hurting for all the characters… I needed their hea like my next breath. The author delivered all that and then some. I am so lucky to have discovered this author. She is on my one-click list. A must read story that will tug on your heartstrings.

Fractured Obsession is the second book in the obsession series and runs side by side with Insidious Obsession this book jumps right into the relationship of Dmitri and Elanee. Dmitri, the son of a man known as The Lion - the leader of The Bratva. When he crosses paths with Elanee again ( they were friends in college ) he finds her in the clutches of his said father. When she's sent to New York they reconnect and despite Lion ready and willing to hurt and kill Elanee and her family and anyone she has crossed paths with she goes against her better judgement and meets up with Dmitri even knowing the dangers it involves.
This is a rollercoaster of emotions!!!! I cried so hard when we found out exactly what The Lion did to Elanee ( she moved to Russia to become a dancer ) but all that is ripped apart from her by the Bratva leader. Even though she's been through so much trauma she's still a fighter and so strong, all Dmitri wants to do is protect her with everything he has. This book is dark, and there are so many twists and turns, it pulls you in right from the get go. Kia knows how to create an atmosphere and suck you into the page and feel what these characters have to go through. The emotional ride you'll get from reading this continues all the way through and honestly you won't be able to put this down. I can't wait to see what's coming next.

This book was just downright amazing. I just can't get over all the twists and turns that happened. What a ride!!
I have read books by Kia before, but this one was definitely the best. Dimitri is the best MMC I've read in a while.
Elanee was a strong and fierce FMC who was caught in an impossible scenario. Their chemistry was off the charts and I'm still trying to come to terms with all of these ups and downs.
Dimitri comes off hard and tough, but his one weakness is Elanee. Elanee left after college to pursue a career as a ballet dancer in Russia.
When we start piecing together what happened to them we learn that Dimitri let Elanee go because he didn't feel worthy of her. Elanee went to Russia
only to end up in the claws of Dimitri's ultimate enemy, his father.
There is so much emotion and heartache in this book that it was hard to ever put it down. I was constantly thinking about what was going to happen next.

This is easily on my list of books to reread.
I'll be honest I was expecting a story about Lily and Lorenzo but I love that was actually Dmitri and Elanee.
Equally broken by the same man, even if that fracturing was slightly different for each of them.
Dmitri is delightful, dark and depraved. Elanee is so protective over everyone she cares about to the detriment of her own well-being. Thank gods for Layla being the voice of reason for both of them.
The plot was beautiful and the way Luca and Ara were threaded through it was masterful.
The spice was good although the only thing that had me concerned was the spicy scene in the club after Dmirti adorned Elanee with some jewellery.
Also welcome to an exclusive club Kia - authors who made me bawl my eyes out! Please don't do that to me again, my heart was breaking from about 73% of the way through and my eyes were streaming tears.

This is the second book in the Insidious Obsession series. It’s dark and very emotional. Elanee and Dmitri are wonderful characters who fit together so well. The storyline is well written, action packed and spicy. There’s a lot of danger, betrayal and intriguing plot twists. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We get Elanee & Dimitri’s story & man is it an emotional roller coaster! These two have been through it & when secrets come out all you can say is damn.
Kia does an amazing job of creating a world you can lose yourself in.

This story had my jaw on the floor from the first sentence! Dimitri’s commitment to Elanee throughout shows he will do whatever it takes for his woman. The secrets and tension are a slow burn that will have you thirsty throughout. A clutch on my heart during this-I was not sure where everything was going to land.
Kia has done it again with great banter and stolen moments. Her characters will find their place with you.

Not bad, first one was better. Not a lot of smut. The story line was low key dark and gruesome in some aspects but overall had a happy ending.

Oh how this took my heart and made it weep. I was trying so hard not to let tears fall but they did anyway. This second chance was so perfect. The devotion and obsession. His struggles and keeping it to himself because all he wanted was to free her and fight for her but also fight himself in the process. Her slowly healing and letting him in. The trauma she faced and was still strong. The storyline was great. I wanted more of them

Dmitri and Elanee are literally MADE for eachother. They both have such complicated pasts, and they just trying to do what the can to heal. Elanee is so determined to help others escape the fate that she got trapped in. Dmitri has so many demons to confront and I loved how that brought him to Elanee🥹
She is such a strong fmc who knows her were, and she doesn’t shy away from that either. Dmitri understands her so much and he knows exactly what she needs as well. So much angst and fire between these 2🥵🥵

Man the way you could cut through this tension.
The emotional journey the author takes you on is crazy. At times I wanted to stop reading, but it was too damn good to put down. Literally had me at the edge of my seat.
Second chance romance was my favorite.
I loved dimtris possessiveness. I love mmc like this it makes you want more.

this one has heartbreak and some very dark things but it was an amazing story from start to finish. I love the dynamic between Elanee and Dmitri. Their history and how he gets around the "problem" is so touching. The underlying issue Dmitiri has is heartbreaking but I love how they were able to overcome everything. There were so many laughable moments, there were many emotional moments.

Once again I am enthralled from the very beginning and kept there till the end! Another great one by this author! It all started with the lethal vow series! I can’t wait to see what is next!

I wasn't ready for how heart-wrenching it would be. The tension was palpable, and the stakes were even greater. Their love goes beyond mere passion. Finally, seeing them reunited when they can truly support one another was deeply moving. Unputdownable!
