**My 3 Stars could be your 5 Stars**
I really waffled back and forth on my rating for this one. It was a really good book and it was well written and the plot was catchy. My rating does not reflect how well the book was written at all so please still give this book a chance- the only reason I rated this 3 stars and not 4 was because I really couldn’t vibe with the FMC. In my opinion she stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. I don’t know I just had a hard time connection with her. But I absolutely loved the MMC and the side characters. I absolutely will read another book by Eve Marian and can’t wait for the next book in this series. I would still definitely recommend this book! Overall it was a very good bodyguard romance!

Chemistry and banter! Nikole and Jake are supposed to meet for a blind date when Jake leaves before meeting her. You just feel bad for Nicole but then her life is thrown for an even bigger loop when he gets assigned to be her bodyguard by her mother. He drives her crazy but the more time she spends with him, she gets comfortable and starts falling for him. He is a man who has seen many horrific things and is now trying to moved forward in his bodyguard business with my brothers in arms. You can tell that as soon as he is set to guard her, he would do absolutely anything to keep her safe. Their relationship grows really fast but there is a genuine connection.
There are spicy scenes but nothing is overly descriptive. I am looking forward to reading the stories of “brother’s” while they find their love story.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS. THIS. WAS. EVERYTHING.
I LOVED IT. I wanted to inhale it like air. It was GLORIOUS.
The smut was SMUTTING. The energy, the vibes, the tension. UGGH. Nikole is just a firecracker, and we love her. She is independent, don’t need no man, nor bodyguard *wink, wink* and she loves her job. And as hard as she may try to keep her walls up, especially around Jake, it doesn’t take him long for them to come crashing down. And Jake… oh dear heavens, he is just a smoke show. His sarcasm, as well as how he carries himself is just *chef’s kiss*. Not to mention how he deals with Nikole when he first becomes her bodyguard, and thereafter. Oh boy does she put him through the ringer all right. And god, it was HILARIOUS. He is such a protector, not just for Nikole, but for everyone he cares about. Even though he may have had a bad past, it’s TOO FUCKING CUTE how Nikole helps him heal. And of course, Jake helps her heal too and it just makes me want to cry my damn eyes out.
My heart is honestly beaming with such happiness. Especially after that damn plot twist, making my heart stop fully beating and it dropping out of me. Both Nikole and Jake’s character growth and development is AMAZING. The storyline as well was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC, not to mention the kidnapping *smirk* and how Jake accompanies her to do something she has been meaning to do for a long time. All the emotions were felt, and I couldn’t be happier with how it ended. AND I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. AAAGGGHHHH.

Protecting Nikole is book one of the Billionaire Bodyguards Series.
Nikole was a very stubborn and doesn't believe there is actually a threat out there. So she isn't as careful with her protection as she should be. Would she have been more careful if her guard was anyone other than Jake? Yes possibly. I think she just really didn't want to be around him since he stood her up in the past.
Jake is a very protective and controlling person. He is from the military and is a bodyguard so these were to be expected. He takes the threat very seriously as is his job.

A perfect fuzzy romcom read that had me burning through it in one sitting.
After being stood up on her blind date, Nikole is thrown under the protection of none other that the man who stood her up. As she vows to make his job and life miserable while employed by her mother Nikole doesn’t take the risk seriously and fights Jake at every turn and her mother pays the price.
Will they make it in time to save the governor? Will they continue to fight their feelings for each other.
I enjoyed this book so much! After all the dark romance I read, this was welcome treat🥰

Blind Date Bodyguard
When Nikole's blind date stands her up she did not expect to find him as her bodyguard. The situation gets even more complicated by the fact that Jake is her best friend's brother as well. While their chemistry is eventually ignited, the fact that he treated her poorly in the beginning only heightens her mistrust of him which is why she does not take the danger to her life seriously. This was a complicated plot with various moving points that only added to this fantastic story. What a great read!

I loved how firey Nikole was towards Jacob after he stood her up, but i felt as though she went a little overboard at times trying to evade him. I do love how everything played out and the suspense of it! There were a few plot holes but they are easy to glaze over.

Slow burn/low spice, enemies to lovers romance with some humor and a happy ending. Nikole and Jacob definitely didn't start out on the best foot, but I still wanted to shake her for being an idiot at continuously trying to get away from him. Like where's her sense of self-preservation? LOL The rest of the characters, including Jacob I really enjoyed. I even liked the story overall, but since Nikole was obnoxious I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to or even as much as the story deserved. Some FMC's are embarrassing to smart women and I think Nikole fell in that category. :(

I would given it five stars but there was some grammar errors and I would’ve liked the texts/ messages to be in a different font from the thoughts if the characters because it got confusing at one point. However, this was a really good read. I mean it was just beautiful and Sarah and Nikole were amazing. I liked Jake but didn’t like the fake kidnapping he did to Nikole because that was messed up. He should’ve groveled a little more but he made up for it. It was decent enough that I will read the next book which is Christina’s and Will’s story.

I do enjoy a good billionaire trope…through in a bodyguard situation too and it makes it enjoyable.
I did enjoy Nikole and Jake, but could have used a bit more detail in the story (but that might come from in the next books). It almost felt like I missed out on some information on the founding “brothers”, but that might be touched on in the books yet to come in the series.
Aside from the little bits I felt might have been missing, I did enjoy the book as a whole and hope you will too.

I really enjoyed this book! A suuuper steamy billionaire romance with a body guard trope thrown in too!? It’s was a great start of summer read and the spice was spicy! 🌶️
The character development of the main characters was so fun too! And the twist!? So much fun. I read this super fast (basically inhaled it in one sitting lol)

When Nikole's her best friend sets her up on a blind date with her brother she doesn't expect to be left standing on the curb. To make matters worse her mother the governor hires Jake to be her bodyguard. Nikole is angry at both her mother and Jake and fights Jake at every turn making his job very difficult.
It was super steamy and the attraction between the two was addicting. I couldn't put the book down.

It started out so promising but then I got more and more annoyed. The FMC annoyed me a bit but the MMC really got on my last nerve. He’s suppose to of been in the military and is now a bodyguard but yet his choices sucked! He’s suppose to keep her safe but then proceeded to do things that put her in harms way. I can see it being once but it was more than once and that really makes me not like the book as much. The plot was so promising but the characters are what brought my rating down.

I really enjoyed this book! I love a good mystery and a billionaire romance and this one did not disappoint, putting two of my favorites together! I felt all the emotions - anger, shock, happiness! All the feels! The plot was great, the twists were great and of course, the spice and romance was the best! I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

Got this book with SYKD, and oh my what a good choice.
Well written, good plot, good characters. My only problem? The kidnapping thing. First of all, I really doubt anyone in their right minds would think of that as a good plan. And she wasn't even that upset about it.

Beautiful
I am not someone that leaves reviews normally, but for this book I had to.
It's a beautiful story about love and trust. I couldn't put the book down once I started, I finished the whole book in one sitting.
I really enjoyed Nikole and Jack's relationship and how they navigated their own troubles to find the love they deserve.

It was a good book. I think she forgave him a little bit fast and I wanted for this part to be a little longer. The book was a fast paced, and the plot was engaging. I just wanted the relationship to be a little deeper and if the book was a little bit longer, I think it could have been better, but overall, it was a quick read and a good one.

I am SO excited for this new series by Marian. Protecting Nicole is the perfect book to kick off summer. It has the perfect mix of emotions and steam (like always in her books!), with a pinch of action excitement. Highly recommend!

From the first page I was hooked. Nikole is a strong FMC and Jake is a no nonsense MMC. Nikole is stubborn and kind of replace whereas Jake is determined to keep her safe no matter what. Come fall in love with the characters…you won’t regret it!

Great story with strong mfc and mmc, family drama, a little trauma and a small second chance thrown in.
The book had a great plot and supporting characters that I hope get to tell their own stories.

I honestly fell in love with this book! Not smutty at all, so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't it. It is a genuine love story with a happy ending. The writing was superb and I cannot wait to continue reading this series.

I DNF'd at 75%. I just couldn't do it anymore. It had potential, but ultimately just didn't work. It was soooo slow. And there wasn't much going on and I didn't feel their chemistry with one another.
