I honestly didn’t intend to read this book. I’m not one of those readers who dislikes a book to then go on to read and slam the next one and so on and so forth.

I didn’t like the previous book (Elite) so I was done. Or so I thought but I couldn’t settle on anything else. I started and quit several books this weekend and so I returned to this.

This is (in my opinion) a better book than Elite. It answered some of my questions and gave a more rounded view of events.

I’m not a fan of love triangles in fact I’d you as far as saying I avoid them if possible. So things were stacked against this from the beginning but I wanted to give it a fair shot.

While I liked this book more it still felt like kids playing at being grown-ups.

....Seriously. Imagine taking every single rich kid with a daddy-god complex and placing them —no, scratch that —locking them in a fifty mile radius. Oh, and giving them as much money as they want without a curfew. Right, it was like Sodom and Gomorrah up in here...

I’m not surprised Tracey cries so much even her grandpa used her.

...I only meant to appease my dying wife, while at the same time allowing Trace to be used as bait, only if necessary...

4 "Nixon or Chase?" stars

Well, this was an alternate POV of events and basically book 1 with some inputs and insights from the "mob guys"

But also there was Phoenix's POV, but i absolutely dislike the guy...so, whatever...

I liked it even if it s the same story from other sides, I liked being in Nixon's and Chase's head...

I am NEVER disappointed reading one of Rachel's books, especially the Eagle Elite series! Enforce is book 1.5 in this mafia story and it is the male POV's. Mmmhmmmm.

Although some of us have already read books 1 and 2 of this series, this book gives a look into the men's brains when things went down and also fills in some gaps.

I don't want to give anything away, but Rachel is brilliant. If we would have had Nixon's point of view through the beginning of this action packed twisty love story, we wouldn't have built up so much.... grrrr for him!

Well, done, Mrs. Van Dyken. This addition to a well loved series will make a reader fall in love with these men even harder. ~ Krissy, 5 (Blood in, no out) stars

Review by Lisa Kane

I love Rachel's Eagle Elite series and this one didn't disappoint. There were many times in Elite that I wondered just what was going through Chase and Nixon's minds, especially when they would blow so hot and cold with Trace. Enforce fills in all those gaps.

Being inside Chase, Nixon, Phoenix and Tex's head can really mess with you. They are so jaded and violence is such a part of their DNA that sometimes the reader has to take a step back and take a minute. But these are our guys, the ones we have come to love from this series and we have accepted them -warts and all.

My heart broke for Phoenix (he has so many different sides to him, but he is one tortured character) and for Chase. (but since I've read the series, I knew he would get his HEA)

This is a great addition to the series-loved it!

** JOSIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW **

I have read all the books in the Elite series and I have loved them all. I am a diehard fan of everything Nixon, Chase, Tex, Trace and Moe. When I saw the author was writing Enforce which is told in Nixon’s, Chases’, Tex’ and Phoenix’ POV I was skeptical. I wasn’t sure how an all male POV would work being that this story is Elite but switched up. Let me just say the author HIT THIS BALL RIGHT OUT OF THE PARK. I cannot begin to explain how much I enjoyed Enforce. YES I knew what was going to happen, but reading it from different POV’s was so much better than I expected. I felt every single emotion just as I felt while I read Elite. The rawness, the grittiness, the humor, the danger and the love. I am not going to spoil this read for anyone, but if you have read this series you know just how special these guys are. Nothing, and I mean nothing I have read yet in this series left me feeling this open and emotional than it did in Enforce. I always wondered what was going through their minds in Elite and I am glad I got my answers.

We get to see a more vulnerable side of Nixon. He was tormented by his actions, caring, remorseful and loving. I always knew how Chase felt about Trace but getting his POV and hearing his inner dialogue just proved how deep Trace touched his life. Tex is funnier that I thought he was. I love his sense of humor and his role in the Elite. I am going to go on the record and say Phoenix’s POV in this book by far was the best. I didn’t have a high opinion of him but I felt just how tortured and broken his father made him. We get to know more of the boys in this book and just how much being part of the mafia has effected them in more ways than one.

“I stopped her progress toward Mo and tilted her chin toward mine. Those lips were so innocent, so plump, I needed to taste them.”

“So you’d die for me?”

“Don’t you get it?” I’d give my life for yours?”

“I grabbed her hand. I needed to be touching her, needed to feel her pulse beat against get wrist. Damn, so now I was counting her heartbeats? If she would just give me a little of her trust, she’d never regret it for as long as she lived. I’d make sure of it.”

The banter and easy relation the guys had with one another is truly delightful to read. I enjoy their banter and openness with one another and honestly I loved reading Nixon thoughts throughout this read.

“H*** no. Tonight you’re sneaking into mine.”

“Dream on, Tex.”

“Oh I do, believe me.”

“Go bother someone else.”

“Tonight, Mo you’ll be in my bed.”

“Tex is right. Sex. You should try it. May save someone’s life someday.”

“Are you suggesting I have sex to keep myself from shooting things.”

“Squirrels. I”m suggesting you have sex so you don’t shoot squirrels. Let them have their nuts man.”

“Frank has landed.”

“Cool, he bring anything from Wyoming? Cows? Guns? He shoot you?”

“No cows, he did have a gun pointed at me. I yelled at him.”

“For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t do that to you?”

“Do what?

“you know I talk a lot, you know that, and you know I like her, but I would never betray you just because a girls hot.”

“Shes more than hot, Chase.”

“Yeah, that the problem isn’t it?”

This is a quick read but has the same punch and feel as the entire Elite series. I loved it all. The author pulls readers into this story in a different way. This is by far my favorite series but this book really helped me with a lot of questions that I had. I feel like I am connected deeper to the characters and have a greater understanding of each one of them. I can’t wait to see what else is in the store for the Elite crew.

I wasn't sold on actually reading this because I felt there wasn't going to be a lot left to discover, and in truth, I was mostly right. The one reason this is worth reading, Phoenix. And now I'm ready to dive into Ember.

I am giving this book a 4.5 stars This book was basically the first book in the series but re-written in different characters POV's. I love when authors do books like these because it is always so interesting to see what all of the characters were thinking during various scenes in the book. While in book one the readers got to see Trace's POV, in Enforce you get to see Nixon and Chase AS WELL AS Phoenix and Tex! I was so surprised to see Tex's POV but I absolutely adored it! This book made me feel for Chase on so many different levels, in book 1 you don't realize how deep his feelings truly are for Trace! I really hope Chase gets his happy ending with SOMEONE even if it isn't with the girl he claims is the love of his life. I really enjoyed finding out more about Nixon as well, it was interesting to see what he was thinking when he made certain discoveries and decisions. I will admit while yes I feel horrible about how Phoenix was treated as a child, I still did not forgive him in this book. Phoenix will have to do a lot of groveling before I would forgive him for the things he has done. Overall I thought this book was a light and fun read that I would 10/10
recommend!

My emotions for different characters during this book:

Nixon in the vey beginning

Nixon once he started acting like a cute lovesick puppy:

Nixon when he let Trace go to protect her:

When Nixon and Tracey were romantically together at any point in the book as well as the end!

Chase and Tracey at basically any point during this book:

CHASE BETTER BE HAPPY BEFORE THIS SEREIS IS OVER BECAUSE HE IS PRECIOUS AND MUST BE PROTECTED!

Anything that involved Phoenix and when he was talking:

GO READ THIS BOOK GO GO GO!

UPDATE RE-READ!!!! I DID NOT LIKE IT THE SECOND TIME AROUND 2 STARS NOT 4.5!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, however this one just didn't do it for me. I felt like both Chase and Nixon were so over dramatic all the time, therefore I could never really connect with their characters.

(This is all I could think of half the time when both Chase and Nixon were complaining about not being able to be with the love of their life that they literally met a day ago).

I realize they fell in love with her quickly from Trace's POV as well but for some reason when reading it from the boys' sides of things it felt like as soon as she got out of the car they were automatically in love with her. I think I would have liked to read more of the moments where Chase was "protecting" Trace, because I feel like as he got to know her through this time he went from being attracted to her to falling in love. But for Nixon it was like she was the love of his life because she was his childhood bff, but he was 9 so I really feel like he wouldn't have known he was in love with her back then. Overall I really had to push myself to finish this book and will probably not be reading it again anytime soon. However since I did enjoy the first book so much, I will most likely continue with the series.

I absolutely love the Eagle Elite series. Love. I also love Rachel Van Dyken. Her writing is brilliant, witty, emotional and funny. She's one of my go to authors where I just read everything she writes. Period. This series is one of my favorites. Ever. So when I heard she was writing Elite from Nixon and Chase's point of view I may or may not have done a little dance. I had a hard time putting this book down. There's nothing better than getting inside the minds of some of your favorite characters and these guys have so much going on! If you're thinking this is just a repeat of Elite so why read it? Stop! This is like reading a whole new book. I literally highlighted half of the book while reading! Nixon is surprisingly mushy on the inside. Chase is loving, sensitive and sweet. Tex is funnier, smart as hell and still owns my heart. Phoenix is tortured, broken and filled with despair. I feel like I know so much more about them and this story that it all felt new to me. I cried, I laughed, I smiled. I felt the emotional pain for these men and I just wanted to reach in and give them all hugs and tell them it was all going to be ok.

I love her...I hate myself, but I love her. - Tex.

Hell was coming for me, but wouldn't it be so nice to take a ride with her on the way there? - Nixon

Nixon cursed me in two different languages before mumbling the number "ten" under his breath. I damn-near clapped. Look who wasn't a liar pants. The most dishonest out of all of us. Well done. Well bloody done. See, apparently I spoke British slang too - I'm freaking amazing. - Chase

"Got you all twisted up on the inside, doesn't she?" Tex said.
"No". Yes.
"Cute. You finally fell. Too bad she isn't yours."
"She isn't his," I snapped
"Not yet," Tex corrected. "Not yet."

"Whatever. We have no friends."
"We have each other," I said softly. "It's just us, Chase. Remember that."
"I do." Chase sighed. "When things get hard I do."

"The problem in this scenario will never be you. Mo Abandonato is always the solution, never the problem." - Tex.

"Yesterday I saw a girl wearing a Team Nixon shirt...you've been hashtagged, brother."
"Are you trying to make me feel better?"
"Team Chase, way better, those Chasers are hot. Seriously, I tend to draw the exotic…I don’t discriminate."

“I just hated that I would be her tutor in the ways of reality – her prince of darkness.”

It’s been awhile since I’ve read the series actually, I’ve been holding off to reading this one. I have some reservations but I know, one thing for sure, is that I’ll fall in love with the characters all over again.

What I’ve loved while reading this is that this is on the Elect’s POV and I’ve come to know them personally, read their thoughts and understand them on the actions and decisions they have taken.

“For the first time in years.
I wanted.
I wasn’t allowed to want.
I had to die to my own desires.”

What I’ve realized the most is that I’ve hated Nixon from the start (not on this book), but since I’ve been reading his thoughts, I’ve just come to love and understand him more. All I’ve thought was that ’come here you boy, and I’ll love and smoother you with hugs.’ though to be honest, he is not a boy by any standards. I’ve also come to love him more and more and realized that I hated some of Tracey’s decision.

“I need you like I need my heart to pump blood through my body, like I need air to breathe, like we need gravity.”

I’ve expected to like Chase and Tex and yes, that’s all there is. But once I hated Phoenix, and love him in the end, but now, I’ve understand him more and I just wanted happiness for him.

More and more I’ve like the characters and I’ve love reliving their journey through the Elect’s POV. If you’re a fan of a series, this is a must read. Well done Rachel Van Dyken!

God.. Tracey is fucking dumb as a bag of rocks. Chase, honey, I'm so sorry you fell for her because she doesn't deserve you :(.

Tracey and Nixon deserve each other - god they're unbearable. Nixon is actually the worst. See, the difference between Nixon holding a gun to Trace (without her knowing) and Sergio holding a gun to Val (AND HE TOLD HER HE WAS), was that Nixon claimed to have feelings for this chick and STILL did those things.

Even on their stupid picnic date, when she asked if he's going to kill her and he's like thinking in his head, "no on my own property because that's just lazy" lmfao. like boy. DO. YOU. HEAR. YOUR. INNER. THOUGHTS. MAN. Not only that, here is an actual quote from another time "Nausea overwhelmed me. I didn't want to kill her. But I would". HOW IS THIS THE MAIN SHIP MAN. H O W. Nixon is not likeable even when he gets his own POV.

Anyways, I love Chase. God, I love him. Near the end, when we really got into his feelings, I felt so bad. I just wanted to kick Tracey and Nixon in the head.

I shipped Chase and Tracey in the first book and I even wanted them in this book because he actually loved her, unlike Nixon.

Tracey was sexually assaulted, she's clearly not in the right mindset from all the traumatic events and Nixon can't even keep it in his pants, he wants to get her naked. Like boy, do I want to slap you so hard there is a hand print on your dumb face. JFC I hate Nixon.. Chase's reaction to her assault was the RIGHT response. He ALWAYS puts her first, all of her - her feelings, her emotional AND physical safety, her heart - everything. Even that stunt they pulled with the quarterback, Tim - Chase stayed and made sure she was safe :(. When Nixon made her look like a damn foold (both times when he insulted her at the dance and then again in the hallway), Chase picked her back up. Chase put the broken pieces together and brought a smile to her face. I want to die.

Nixon on the other hand, friggin jumps in when she's most vulnerable, only when it is most convenient for him. God that makes me mad.

I. Cannot. Believe. Why. people like Nixon. He's a jackass and not even a likeable one. JFC.

Phoenix :(. Oh my heart hurts for you boy. I know what he did is wrong. He knows what he did is wrong. Rape is usually about power. He was on his last thread. Legit wanted to feel powerful just for a little while before he off'ed himself. Nixon knew what kind of things his dad made him do. Nixon knew the kinds of positions Phoenix was put in (getting beat, forced into breaking girls in). God. Nixon knew. and he kicked him out rather than trying to help him.

Chase even told Nixon to lay off and let him back in, because in the end, they were best friends - from childhood, and that means something to Chase. It should mean something to Nixon. Chase never once put Nixon down in front of Trace, he always defended him, always had his back and Nixon just fucking turns on every one - Phoenix (when he kicked him out and made him stay out), Chase (when he makes him take care of Trace but dismisses him like he has no goddamn feelings/rights to be her friend), even Tex (when he gave his father's fake blessing but in his mind already decided Tex would eventually die and he'd have to take care of Mo's broken heart).

JFC. I'm getting so angry typing this lmao :(. Tex. My boy, wasn't heavily featured but he loves Mo. He wanted to do right by her, all the time. Nixon and his fake ass support pissed me off.

This is the first book but from everyone else's POV's, not Tracey's - thank god! and because it wasn't from Tracey's POV, I actually really enjoyed the book. However, all this book made me realize even more than ever is that I absolutely HATE Nixon and Tracey, and how much I love Tex, Chase and Phoenix. I'm so glad they each get their own books because it makes up for reading the shithead that is Nixon.

I still laugh when Nixon dodged the question about murder and if/how many people he's killed. Bitchass will always lie or dodge if it means Tracey will run the other way.

Anyways... wow. I did enjoy this book but man do I hate Nixon and Tracey.

"But every possible outcome ended with either her death or her in danger. Weirdly, I didn't want someone like her at Eagle Elite. She didn't belong in my world. She deserved a picket fence. A husband."

HOLY HIS POV GREATNESS!!!! I have to admit to normally cringing at his POV books for many reasons. Often I feel like I am reading the same story with a few extra scenes and I prefer that if I am going to get both POVs it is at the same time within a dual POV book! But damn listening to Nixon as well as Chase, Phoenix and Tex tell me their side of this complicated and entrancing story really did it for me this time. I might have even liked it better than the original (I dunno it's close!)

"I wanted to claim her, possess her, make her scream - not with fear but utter ecstasy. I had no idea who she was, but she made me want. And that was the problem."

Now I will say this will be much more enjoyable if you have read Elite but I do believe you could read this as a standalone. While you do get scenes from all 4 main Elite men, Enforce mostly revolves around Nixon with a heavy dosing of Chase. If you have read Elite then you know that the two of them are involved in a love triangle of sorts with Trace the new scholarship student at Eagle Elite Academy. I say of sorts because Nixon is not what one would say is nice to Trace, fiercely protective, YES, Nice? Not so much! But damn if he doesn't have his own reasons.

"You have no idea . . . how much I want you."

Knowing what a life with him would entail, Nixon pushes past his urges and instincts to CLAIM HER and trust her at his second in command and best friend/cousin, Chase. Oh have I mentioned that this is a amazing Mafia series (for those unaware) based in a college with a sexy sexy sexy man at the realm of the family. Damn so much going on and yet I constantly crave more!

"Nixon! You have to promise me that if we live through this - and that's a giant if, considering we're literally trapped between two death machines - you have to take my virginity. Take it!"

The amazing thing about Rachel's writing is that she knows how to inject just the right amount of sexiness even without sex into a story to get you worked up and how much humor she can put in without distracting from the seriousness of the situations that are going on. To do all that so effortlessly is an skill few authors have.

"Things were calm. Too calm. And in my line of work, calm could only mean one thing. A storm was coming . . . fast."

Oh the angst . . . Oh the drama! I never knew I could get so wrapped up in the lives of the up and coming mafia bosses. As much as this is a love story it is a drama too! Was is brewing and blood is shed. You will never want to put the book down because at Eagle Elite Academy there is always something happening and it is almost never a good thing!

"Damn it, Trace, I'm the one that doesn't deserve you. The messed up part is I know it, but I want you anyway."

I cannot recommend this series to both NA and Crime Drama lovers enough. If you haven't started it yet please give it a shot I don't think you will be let down!

It was nice to go back to the beginning so nice that I have endless highlights and notes on my kindle, that would seriously make for one long-a** review so I'm just picking my favorites to mention. Although we go back to the beginning we're seeing the beginning from a different perspective, we're seeing it in our mafia men's eyes and some scenes were added so don't be thinking 'why should I read this I already know what's going to happen. I already know what went down.' All I'm saying is you don't know what went down in the men's heads until now. Tex and Mo are really flirty toward each other and you could see that attraction right off the bat, "hell no." I smacked her a**. "You're sneaking into mine." Typical Tex not wanting to do the work. There was one scene in the original book that I loved and was excited to see it was included in this version as well it's Nixon and Trace dancing in front of the cows, "uh, yeah." I glanced between her and the cows. "I don't think they'll mind. Why, what kind of dancing were you thinking of doing? Were you hoping to embarrass the cows and get them to moo?" Nixon it's great to see once he got his head out of his a** that the man is barely hanging on for control when it comes to Trace, "yes, because of the damn bubbles. Are you done yet?" I twitched in my seat, damn-near needing to sit on my hands." Sometimes relationships are all about compromise hell they actually always are and for Nixon to consider Trace's thoughts I thought that was a big step for our bada** hero, "I didn't respond; instead, I released her hand and walked toward the door, finally giving her the answer she probably needed, but not one I was sure I could keep. "I'll try to listen." It was great re-living memories and seeing new ones from the beginning but honestly I'm officially ready for the next chapter to happen in this series.

I adore the Eagle Elite Series by Rachel Van Dyken. Each book elaborating on the different characters within the series, inviting us into their Mafia world while showing us their journey's to happiness and love.

Enforce takes us back to the beginning and this is a kind of re-telling of Elite from the men's POV. I say "kind of" because though we already know what will happen in Elite, it is a treat to be in their brain's and to get that added layer of the story where we were missing what they were thinking and to get the full complete story.

All I have to say is DAMN! To be in Nixon's mind in these scenes, knowing what a jerk he would be to Trace yet knowing why and seeing how he is affected by her too, that he has a heart makes me love him even more! It is also complete torture to see him falling yet trying to remain closed off to protect her. We know that he is doing what he thinks is best for her but still....it's painful to watch Trace get hurt.

Rachel writes the male POV well giving us more to an already established story, adding more layers, and more intrigue. This is a great addition to an already loved series and I can't wait for more!

A retelling of Elite from the guys point of view.

Its great to get into the guys heads as they meet Trace for the first time, when they find out the big secret and how Phoenix takes everything going on around him and how he does everything for the Elect.

Fans of the series will love this book and it helps to fill in some of the blanks as to where Nixon was when Trace was at the party.

Anything that Rachel writes is pure gold and this series is one of my all time faves. You must read Elite before reading Enforce, otherwise you'll be lost.

Holy moly, the men's POV of Elite. We get Nixon, Chase, Phoenix and Tex's POV, mainly Nixon and Chase though, and it is well worth the wait for me to read book 2, just so I could get into their mindset. Of course it follows the same story, but gives me so much insight into the how's and the why's of the Elite and why they said and did what they did to Tracey. I must say I was not prepared to have my heart broken in two for Nixon, to love Chase and to feel sorry for Phoenix, but I did. I'm still on the fence as to whether I'm team Nixon or team Chase. Fab well written story, I'm hooked.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

I am such a fan of Rachel Van Dyken's at this point, and Eagle Elite is by far one of my most favorite series ever. So when I found out that she was writing Elite from the boys' POV, I honestly could not wait. I had no idea that I could love this series or the first book more than I already did until after I finished Enforce. Rachel Van Dyken is a genius, and I loved seeing the Elect like never before. I honestly cannot recommend this series enough, and if you aren't reading this series you are seriously missing out. This series is one of those that every book is as good as the last one and they are all must read stories.

I really loved seeing everything from the guys' POV. Yes if you have read Elite, you will know everything that happens in this book. While the base of the story might be the same though, you really get so much more with Enforce. You get to see what each of the guys were going through, and I thought it really gave this series even more depth. Enforce really showed a ton of insight into each of the men, and I loved getting inside their heads. With Chase, we really got to see his struggles. He was constantly fighting himself on his loyalty to family and his friendships, while also dealing with his growing feelings for Trace. I really had no idea just how deep his feelings went until reading this book. Yes with his book, Entice, we were given a lot more of him. But with Enforce we got to see how everything began, and just how long he felt the way he did. With Nixon, I felt like we got to know him so much better here. The thing I loved most about getting more of Nixon, was seeing more of his vulnerable side. In Elite, we mostly saw the rough side of him and didn't get to see his true feelings until things started to play out. But with Enforce you really got a sense of his feelings right away, and the love and connection he had with Trace. Their history went so far back, and I really enjoyed seeing how he cared for her all those years before and in the present as they found each other again. I had no idea just how much he felt for her and how much he had thought of her over the years.
I also really enjoyed getting to see more of Tex and the beginning of things between him and Mo. I loved his book as I have all the books in this series, but up until then we really didn't get to see much of who he truly is. I felt like with Enforce we did, even if it wasn't a lot. I liked seeing how smart he was and how he was constantly working to keep things right between all the guys. He was really the glue that seemed to hold them all together, and I found it interesting since we didn't really see much of that the first time around. I have to say the one I was kind of skeptical about was Phoenix. I didn't care much for him after everything that he had done, but starting with Entice, I started to change my mind about him. Seeing everything that he was going through in Elite though, really offered so much more to the readers in terms of what had made him do the horrible things he did. I will admit that after reading this book, I am more curious than ever to get his story. He has been through a lot, and I am really rooting for him to find some redemption.

Overall, I really have to say that this was a fantastic addition to the series! I had always wondered what was going on behind the scenes at the beginning of this series, and I thought that Rachel Van Dyken really delivered here. This book might have had the same plot and storyline, but it was definitely not the same as Elite. Enforce had a ton of things that we have never heard or seen before, and I am so glad that Rachel Van Dyken wrote this book. If you are a fan of the series, this book is an absolute must read. I honestly think that you can't go wrong with anything by Rachel Van Dyken, but the Eagle Elite series is beyond brilliant. This series is one that has something for everyone, and I know that each time I pick up one of these books that I am going to love it. Rachel Van Dyken delivers every time, and I am already dying for the next Eagle Elite book.

Wow, whatever can I say about Rachel Van Dyken's Enforce? It is Elite from the boys POV - but that just doesn't do it justice. Because if that was all it was, you would think you would know everything that was going to happen and you wouldn't be held captivated the entire book, yet that is exactly what occurs.
From the moment I heard that she was going to tackle this book I was on pins and needles. We would finally learn what was REALLY going on at Eagle Elite when this whole saga began. As the series has continued and we have gotten to know each of the players better it has made me wonder even more why they did certain things in Elite, what was going through their minds, what was the background that Trace didn’t know. Enforce answers ALL of those questions.
I appreciated all of the Mafia background that we were able to see in Enforce that we missed in Elite. Things that we learn in later books in the series that we now see for the ‘first time’ here. It was very well done.
Right from the very beginning when you read what the book is about, you see how deeply Chase and Nixon feel for Trace and how they will be pitted against each other. Of course if you have already read Elite and Elect this is no surprise! But reading it here in Enforce as their feelings developed, as they realize who Trace is and what she means to their Family, their future, their friendship, their lives ¬– it tears at your heart.
But for me (and without giving too much away) one of the my favorite things about this book, the thing that I think helps set Rachel Van Dyken apart from other writers is her skill at making you see a character in a different light. She does that here with Phoenix. And that she was able to do that with Phoenix in THIS book was just pure genius for me and brought me to tears and gave me chills.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you are a fan of this series TBR it NOW! Go to Rachel’s Author Page every day to get the teaser’s she is posting – you won’t regret it! Soak up every single piece of this book you can get! And then grab it when it comes out and tell everyone to leave you alone!
I received a complimentary copy, in exchange for an honest review.

Holy Mafia Batman!! Every time I think that Rachel can't surprise me anymore I am always floored and really why do I delude myself in thinking that she can't?! This latest in the Eagle Elite series comes at the absolute perfect time to me because by seeing Elite from Nixon and Chase's (and Tex's and Phoenix's) point of views she draws the reader even more into The Family. Seriously folks, if you haven't read this series what are you waiting for because it's drama-filled, sexy, a bit violent, but also funny and heart-wrenching and just everything. Enforce takes us back to the beginning, but where other re-tellings from another pov often leave me satisfied but not enthralled, Enforce just rocked me back. It opens up so many other emotions, especially the stuff with Nixon and his evil-incarnate father, seeing the animosity Chase has with his dad, but seeing more from Tex and where he was at this point of the story and most importantly the path of torture that Phoenix was experiencing and how he became who he was? Well to say that I felt a bevy of emotion is putting it mildly. I laughed because the dynamic between these characters is just fan-freaking-tastic! I cried because let's face it there is some heavy crap going down at times. I yelled because Rachel tends to do this to me when she reveals something I didn't expect or takes a turn that leaves me smh. I cheered because well I loved every word! I can't wait for the next installment because this is some addictive stuff!! So Rachel bring on Ember please, I need my Phoenix fix soon!! Until then "Welcome to the Family!"

*5 Stars*

It's no secret that I love RVD books, and that I became obsessed with the Eagle Elite series last year when I finally got a chance to read them. I've been devouring her Mafia books ever since. When I was originally reading the series though, I skipped this one because its Elite, book number one, but told from the guy's POV's. I was so eager to smash through the series that I didn't worry about this one at the time.

I'm so glad I finally read it, because whilst yes, I knew what was going to happen, this world that RVD has created is so amazing and so addictive that I was hooked from the very start once again. I really liked reading this through the POV's of the guys, and it was nice to go back to the beginning and see them once again as it all started, before things got as crazy as they do throughout the series.

Devoured this one and am absolutely hanging out for the next Mafia release we get from RVD. Love her books, but this is my favourite series of hers. I'll be devastated if she ever stops writing in this world.

Highly recommend! Blood in, no out.

5 SOLID NIXON STARS!

Okay! Shut the front and back door even the window! I am going to be all territorial and claim NIXON is MiNe! =))
*sigh* This book just clearly showed and remind me the many reasons why I love Nixon.
Here are proofs why I so love my Nixon :
*Self-less*

" For the first time in years. I wanted. I wasn’t allowed to want. I had to die to my own desires. Because in the grand scheme of things? It wasn’t about me. It was about blood, family, protection. Blood in, blood out."

*Bad ass*

“When you’re the boss? That’s when you can tell me what to do. Until then? Screw off.”

*SMART*

"The less they knew, the safer they were. Which basically meant if I died, they were screwed, but that’s why we paid the men well. I wasn’t really killable. Not now"

*Most Powerful Man (Phoenix words) *

We had captains, foot soldiers, made men, and they all looked at me like I was their god, even though I was decades younger. I was the one calling the shots, lining their pockets, ruling their damn worlds.

N. I. X. O. N

"I’m everything. I’m the boss.
Sangue en — no fuori .”

**Received ARC in return for honest review**

The Mafia Queen has done it again! It's no secret that I'm #AussieMafiaPrincess, so receiving this ARC was like Christmas coming 2 weeks early.
Seeing the story from the boys' POV was like reading a whole new story, and my heart often broke throughout. The struggles they had to face, the decisions they had to make, the situations they were forced into- it gave you a whole new appreciation for what these Mafia boys go through.
But, God...PHOENIX!!
My heart hurts so bad for him. You hated him in Elite, but you can't help breaking for him in Enforce. And I know that Ember (next book in Eagle Elite series) is just going to destroy me.
Rachel knows her stuff, and her words portray this story beautifully.
BEYOND 5 stars!!!

Every time I pick up one of these books it's like that first sit into a perfectly temperatured bath. That feeling of rightness combined with the comfort of a favourite place, that's this series for me. Enforce was no exception, and it was great to re-read all the events of the first book from other characters' perspectives. I think, though, that's exactly why I'm scoring it lower. There wasn't really anything new here. I'd hoped for some more depth on the boys, on who they were and how they'd ended up where they were. Instead we got . . . Chase vs Nixon, rounds one through three. A fun read, but not my favourite of the series.
