I enjoyed the organization of the chapters, mostly chronological and segmented by region but sometimes going out of order to make the chapter work. There is however a lot of slant and westernized opinion in the later chapters, so its not entirely objective. I was often frustrated at how the author described the Iranians and Hamas - if it was more purely objective I would have given it a higher score, though I did find the book very useful in gaining a technical and mosotly factual overview of the region in the 20th and 21st centurys, but I continue to search for a more objective source
