Peyton and Noah are the link between Beaumont OG and the next Gen. from the sweet origin to their undying devotion this story is so beautiful I loved it and can’t wait for more
Peyton and Noah will forever be my favorite couple in the Beaumont world. We have watched them grow up and fall in love, all while battling obstacles that would send others running. Their journey to parenthood is no different. All these twi want is a family, and the heartbeat they endure along the way is so raw and real.
Catching up with the whole family while Peyton and Noah are deciding what their future looks like was like coming home. These characters feel like family and you root for them, and you grieve with them. It was so beautiful to watch this story unfold, and I can't wait for what happens next.
This is the Beaumont book my heart needed!!! Noah and Peyton will always be one of my favorite couples and Elle and Ben are a close second. After years of obstacles for both couples, the time has come for them to start trying to expand their family. Due to Peyton's accident years ago and Ben's cancer, both couples will be going the IVF route. As a recent IVF mama myself, this book hit so close to home.
The bond that Peyton and Elle have is unbreakable and to watch them tackle pregnancy together was beautiful. As if I couldn't love Noah anymore, the way he just gets Peyton and knows what she needs before she even thinks it is remarkable. If anyone is soul mates, its those two.
It was so wonderful to see all the family come together and root these couples on, as I knew they would. We also got a glimpse into what everyone is doing now. I am hoping that Quinn and Nola get another book because your girl has questions!!!
I loved every minute of this book. I especially appreciated how much care Heidi took in describing the process of IVF and how it is a journey for not only the mom to be but the husband also. This book will forever hold a place in my heart and I can't wait for the next Beaumont book!!
✨Reading Highlights✨ -Wonderful audio. -Loved to come back and see where these characters are now. -Would only recommend to people who love this series and what to be in these characters lives more.
I borrowed this audiobook from Libby, and I just love these narrators. In every book I have listened to by them, they just do such a wonderful job.
I enjoyed this book, because it was fun for me to go back to these characters and see what their lives look like now. I really enjoyed the other books in the Beaumont series and I am a person that loves to go back and revisit characters from books that I loved if I can and they have a new story.
SO this book will not be for everyone because of that but also it is important to check triggers in this book as well. If you are a person that finds it hard to read about pregnant people or people who are trying to become pregnant and are having fertility troubles, this book would not be for you as that is the main plot of this story.
Not a whole lot happens in this book other then that. If this was another book I would say that it had a lot of filler and there was really no point other then the main characters were trying to grow their family, cute and fun but maybe doesn't need to be as long as it was. However because I love the series and these characters it was nice for me to see them in their life and being with these characters again felt nice for me.
I would recommend this book if you loved the Beaumont series and you love Payton and Noah and want to see how they are and where their life is going. But other wise I don't think this book would interesting for you.
As a long time Heidi McLaughlin fan and a full fledged Beaumont and Next Generation series addict , this book was one I have been waiting for a decade! I have been rooting for Peyton and Noah since they were kids! Their love story reminds me of my own. I can attest, marrying your childhood best friend is so special and the memories and obstacles you have together are many! In this newest book in the Next Generation series, Peyton and Noah experience infertility and we see their journey to become parents through IVF. Heidi clearly wrote this with much respect for women navigating through this type of journey, the emotional and physical process was clearly written with care. It was great that the male perspective was also included, it is important to to know the toll this takes from their side as well. Especially moving was having Elle and Ben along side them with their own similar journey, it created a beautiful and poignant story that will make you cry, smile, hope and cheer along with them! You will be caught up with the rest of the Beaumont gang too and have questions that NEED answers in future stories about 2 of them in particular!!! As always, there are twists and surprises right til the very end! I guarantee that you will be so much more excited for future books after you finish this one! If you haven't read this series, go back and read Forever my Girl and onward, I promise you will thank me later for the recommendation 😚!
This one feels like a different kind of romance book. We don't have that first attraction where everything is exciting, instead it's living life and building a life together, with all the challenges that come at a person. Kids, jobs, families. The big obstacle was kids for Peyton, Noah, Elle and Ben. With their past, both choose IVF to get families. It was interesting to see them go through it and nice that they had the other couple to lean on, while facing those challenges.
It was fun to see the couples be successful and how they shared the news with the families. Each couple managed to keep some things to themselves and surprise the families when sharing the info.
I really loved it that Elle didn't meet Peyton's babies, until after she did. Being twins they look the same, but she wanted their mother to be the "first" to see them. Never really gave it a thought, but that ended up really tugging at the heart.
Another thing that I didn't expect to hit so hard was Noah's press conference at the end. He said good bye in a classy way, yet was able to stick it to the team that let him down after all those years.
While there was lots of tension in this one, mostly due to wondering where life would take them all next, it was nice to see things end on a happy note, with everyone happy and thriving.

I 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 this story!! I’ve been a fan from the beginning, and watching Noah and Peyton grow up and now fight for the chance to have their own family has been such a joy!! The world building was phenomenal, as always, with these amazing characters that feel like family, authentic emotion, and so much love! Noah and Peyton’s connection has always been one of my favorites! Then there’s that twin bond between Peyton and Elle, which always touches my heart. And, yes, I’ll admit, I get stupidly excited any time Liam makes an appearance, as the original MMC that made me a forever fan of this author’s work so many years ago!! I love all these characters, but now I need more of Quinn and Nola, because I have questions!! This story was a perfect blend of emotional and sweet, with some fun surprises! You don’t want to miss this one, or any of the others!😉
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"The Beginning of Forever" is a heartfelt and compelling novel that takes readers on an emotional journey through the trials and triumphs of Peyton and Noah Westbury. This story is a beautiful testament to the power of love, resilience, and family. McLaughlin skillfully captures the physical and emotional toll of the IVF process, making Peyton’s journey incredibly relatable and profoundly moving. Her struggles with hormonal fluctuations and the strain it places on her relationship with Noah are portrayed with authenticity and sensitivity. The author beautifully illustrates the power of love and the importance of being there for one another during life’s toughest moments. Their journey is a poignant reminder that, despite the difficulties, love and family can help us overcome even the most daunting obstacles. This book is a true gem that captures the essence of perseverance and the beauty of standing by those we love, no matter what life throws our way. It is an excellent addition to any book lover's collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
I stumbled upon this author in 2013, just when indie publishing first took off. I’m a voracious reader when life gets rough, and Forever My Girl (Beaumont series #1) came along at just the right time. I escaped my reality and fell 100% into the Beaumont drama from page one, devouring it in one sitting. I’ve since re-read the entire series at least twice. Possibly three times. Then came the next-gen books. And now, I have to reread both series again so I can get the full experience with this latest release. (I say the latest because I refuse to believe it’s over!!)
This book is an incredibly emotional read for Beaumont fans because we know what Noah and Peyton have faced until now. Their story has been one of ups and downs from the beginning, yet they always face it all together. I swear if I didn’t already have my own HEA, they’d definitely be actual couple goals for me!
As usual, I didn’t want to put this book down once I started, and also as usual, I’ll always hope for more from this next-gen group!
Noah and Peyton are at a crossroads in their lives and like everything they have been through so far it won’t be without its challenges. They would like to welcome children into the family they share but doe to the events of the past the traditional ways may not be a viable option which makes their journey even more tumultuous. That is only one of the decisions that they will be making as Noah grapples with what the future will hold for him professionally as well.
I have enjoyed every minute I have spent with Noah, Peyton and their family and this story is no exception. It is heartwarming to see that even when a couple acknowledges their love that life isn’t always that easy but with the support of friends, family and their love for each other there isn’t anything they can’t overcome.
This is not your typical rom-com. This is the culmination of her past books. This is the story of Peyton and Noah, Elle and Ben, and their journey to parenthood in the face of infertility. It should give hope to many out there who deal with the same issues. In this day and age, many things are possible that were not available in the past. The way her characters dealt with their issues was realistic and heart warming. My only comment is that I wish she had done a run through of who is who in the family. I read the first ones so long ago that I could not remember how everyone fit into the family dynamic. That being said, I think I figured most of them out. I loved everything about this book. The happy ending is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend it.
This is the 6th book in this phenomenal series, and this gifted author has done an incredible job in weaving this heartwrenching second generation series. Peyton is determined to have her dream come true of becoming a mom, but the physical and emotional journey of IVF is taking a toll on her marriage. Noah is a talented quarterback facing trade rumors, with his future unsettled, while he and Peyton navigate the trials and tribulations in their path. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, challenges, humor, heartbreak, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable, and spicy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I will never have enough of the Beaumont series. It feeds my souls when I’m in need. As a longtime reader and lover of this series, getting more of Peyton and Noah is just what I was waiting for. I loved catching up with these characters, this family, and seeing how strong the bond between Peyton and Elle was while they went through the trials and tribulations of trying to conceive. This was such a beautifully heartfelt story of love, family and relationships, and I couldn’t have asked for a better addition to the next gen series. I laughed and cried, yet I was so happy with how things turned out. I hope there’s so much more to come for these characters and this series, especially Quinn and Nola. I highly recommend this one if you’ve read previous books in this series.
I absolutely loved seeing Noah and Peyton’s journey to becoming parents! Noah and Peyton are the cutest couple and I can never get enough of reading about them. And to be able to share this experience with Elle for Peyton is just the icing on the cake of this wonderful story! We get lots of all the characters we know and love. I really went through the gamut of emotions with this book! From laughter to sadness to happy tears to being mad on behalf of our beloved characters. If you know the Beaumont series then this is an absolute must read. If you are not familiar with the series, what are you waiting for!? Start reading! ~Alexis💜
I got this book at Heidi's table at book bonanza and it was my first book by her and it was such a good story! I really enjoyed her writing and I can't wait to read more from her! I loved Peyton and Noah. It is is a beautifully crafted tale that captures the essence of love, hope, and second chances. The characters are deeply relatable, and their journey is both heartwarming and emotional. Her writing style draws you in from the first page, making it impossible to put the book down. The story's pacing is perfect, with just the right balance of romance and drama. If you're looking for a book that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a smile, this is the one. Highly recommended!
Absolutely perfect addition to the next gen books by this author! Could not have loved one of her stories more. Peyton and Noah are a beloved couple. This story follows their life after marriage their struggle with infertility. The whole book is a love story to the original families and a wish and a kiss to the hope this new generation has.
I loved seeing everyone basically, in the history of the series. I loved Peyton and Elle and their relationship and their love for each other. There truly aren't words that will describe the story so just grab it and read it and fall in love again with Peyton and Noah.
Fantastic!

I loved being back in Beaumont, and this story was definitely an emotional rollercoaster. Peyton and Noah are more in love than ever and ready to move into the next stage of their lives and start a family. As they start the IVF process, their personal and professional lives are tested, but through it all, their love for each other and the love of their family shines through. Will they finally get everything they have ever wanted.
I absolutely devoured this story and cannot recommend it enough.
I have always loved the Beaumont series and Noah and Peyton’s story is nothing short of a miracle. You’ve always felt the complete and utter devotion and love between these two and as they navigate their current life circumstances, you see their love and devotion shine through. I ,over catching up with all the characters and wonder if there’s additional story for Quinn and Nola.
I loved seeing Peyton and Noah navigate thus part of life. Each struggling a little internally but always having the other as they’re sounding board.
This continuation of Noah and Peyton (and the rest of the family’s) stories had me falling in love with these characters all over again. The experiences that these characters have throughout the book with starting a family and making career decisions were so relatable! I loved being back in Beaumont (and Portland, and L.A.) with the majority of the characters I’ve loved for years! A great addition to this already amazing series!
I love Noah and Peyton almost as much as I love Liam and Josie. Their story is just beautiful. This one just pulled at heart heart so much. Elle and Peyton’s journey in this story is one I dreamed of to have with my sister. I feel like we might get Quinn’s second book. There’s so much more I want to share but I don’t like to spoil books. So if you’ve read up to the book before you need this on in your life
I love that Noah and Peyton got another book. With everything they have been through over the years, they deserved their happily ever after. Noah has a major career decision to make and I love the way he handled it in the end. I kept expecting something to happen during the pregnancy and when it did, it wasn't what I was expecting. I hope Quinn and Nola get another book because I want to know what's going on with them.
I love the way Heidi expands on the characters in each book but keeps all of them throughout each one. The love these characters show w/ each other is inspiring life goals. Couples should read this series together! There was so much emotion in this book. All of them have had great moments but this one just made me gush. Many tears in a good way. You can’t help but root them on. Thank you Heidi!
It was nice to see Noah & Peyton again and where they are in their marriage. It was refreshing to see the struggles they went through with trying to start a family & where Noah will go with his football career. Nothing is easy while they go through the ups and downs. Heidi did an amazing job bring the reality of fertility & the emotions that can cause a marriage. Again love seeing the whole Beaumont family together bringing the laughter, love, and support.
Oh man I never want this series to end. This is probably the most emotional book series I have ever read. We get more Peyton and Noah as they go through the journey of becoming parents which I love. It’s definitely an inspiration for people who struggle with starting a family and this book detailed those struggles perfectly. Definitely in my top favorite books.
Loved the story but there were quite a few typos and even a couple major errors in point of view (a chapter supposed to be from Peyton's POV switched briefly to Noah's and vice versa). Hence 4 stars instead of 5. I have always loved Peyton and Noah, since the day we met them in Forever My Girl. This story was exactly what my heart needed for them.
I simply loved it! It was so exciting to follow the beautiful and painful journey of this beloved couple. Noah and Peyton gave me special moments where love, friendship and unity were always present. And let's not forget the incredible families. And now I really want to know the love story between Paige and Mack. Let it come soon. Thank you, dear author, for ending the saga so beautifully.
What an intense, exciting story about two sisters who find themselves wanting to be mother's at the same time. Sometimes you have to resort to extra help with getting pregnant, AI, and lots of Prayers. Noah and Peyton have dealt with so much, they have so much love for each other, their families. Beautiful story, caring family members.
I loved this book. I wish I’d gone back and re-read a couple previous books because it’s been a minute and I forgot some of the names. Even if you’ve never read a Beaumont series book it’s a good read.
I love Beaumont, and the characters are rich, realistic, and relatable. This was a great read. I did feel like it was a bit forced positivity. Like Peyton didn't allow herself to be too down or recovered from changes so quick.
