Alpha elephant Alistair was beginning to think that he'd be alone forever. But when a beautiful woman shows up at the Amazing Adventures Safari Park with her class for a private tour, he knows he's found his soulmate. Since humans don’t know shifters exist, he'll have to win her heart and trust before he tells her the truth.
Maggie loves being a substitute teacher and is thrilled with the opportunity to take her class to the park for a private safari tour. When she meets a park employee named Alistair, she can't help but think her wildest romantic dreams are coming true, especially after her history with bad relationships. Then he shares a startling truth with her—shifters are real!—and her whole world turns upside down.
Now that Maggie knows the truth of shifters, she has a choice to stay with Alistair and keep the secret from everyone, including her family, or lose the only man who’s ever held her heart.
When I first started reading the Were Zoo series, I kinda fell in love with them all. Its a wonderfully unique telling of shifter stories. Alistair, though, had my heart at the first. I'm so glad he's gotten his HEA.
Once again, the story is flushed out, the characters, the setting, all falling into place. There's still some conflict, some tense moments, which only add to the storyline. We even visit passed couples, catching up a bit.
My one complaint is the changing of Maggie's mothers name from Bea in one chapter to Barbie in another.
Alistair, the lonely alpha, unexpectedly meets his mate, Maggie, the school teacher, on a school trip. Sparks fly, hearts beat faster. Love is in the air. Will it be smooth sailing? Read on!
I personally recommend reading the books before this one for a cohesive telling. You don't really need to, but its much more enjoyable if you do.
RE Butler has made this series just so much fun. It is so unique and interesting interesting, and she has it so detailed that you could actually believe something like this existed. And I would love to be a mate to one of those shifters. But, that aside this one is about Alistair. Is the alpha of the elephant memory And he has reached 40 years old. He was hoping his mate would show up soon, he sure wasn’t ready for Maggie, or maybe he was. Maggie is substitute teacher was on a field trip with her students and low and behold, there is Alistair. The hardest part is she has trust issues and he is forbidden from telling her the biggest secret in his life until she is in love with him. Their storyis amazing, and they are so perfect for each other. Not to do any spoilers too much but I sure wish Alistair would’ve punched somebody in the nose. Awesome book.
Alistair is the elephants Alpha and has given up on ever finding his mate...until he meets Maggie when she brings her class to visit the zoo. One look and he's smitten. Now to convince a human there's more out there than they ever knew.
I absolutely adore Butler's Were Zoo series. The books are fun and interesting and steamy. I mean, what could be better than finding your soulmate?! Highly recommend.
I have grown to love this series. I prebuy the books when I see they are coming soon. This time, though, I hadn't seen the notes on the release. I was so excited I squeed out loud.
The book is about one of the Alphas who meets their mate while her students are visiting the Animal Safari. Truly love the story, although it didn't end as I was expecting. Very happy to see the next one comes out in two months.
I am still waiting for my free pass from the Were Zoo to come in the mail! I just love reading about the different characters and them finding their soulmates. Not to mention the loving between them! Alpha Alistair didn't anticipate having to wait as long as he did. Just goes to show you some things really are worth waiting for. Maggie wasn't looking for love, but it was where she least expected. A good story.
Alistair and Maggie make a super sweet couple. The only trouble comes from Maggie's nasty ex. I was taken by surprise at her mother and sister's attitudes. I loved that Alistair and her dad were always on her side. The ending was lovely and I'm excited for Jasper's book! Highly recommended author and series
I really enjoyed reading Alistair book the Zoo series. RE did an amazing job with this book I loved reading about this alpha elephant shifter who meet his mate in the human fmc name Maggie. Both characters deserve to have love and I enjoyed there incredibly journey towards there HEA.
If you are in the mood for something sweet and romantic, this adition to this Great series is it. Not as actionpacked as a lot of the previous books but a slower and sweeter pace. Alistair and Maggie will still have a few bumps in the Road to their happily ever after.
It was pretty good but I feel like it's missing sum action toward the end. All-Star finally found his mate but her ex still wants 2 b a ass about things. I'm A little disappointed that it feels like its not quite finished cause of her ex.
