Maid in Heaven

Rate this book
For ages, men have openly lusted for women donning skimpy French maid outfits. But what do women want? One creative entrepreneur, desperate to pay medical bills, has figured it out. Single father, Will Jessup, dusts off the cobwebs for Jackson Hole's wealthy housewives, offering a unique, sexy service... scrubbing their opulent homes as a male maid, baring it all in risque uniforms!

Reeling from a painful divorce, the life Ava has worked so hard to build further devolves into rubble after a botched Zoom call with a client leaves her woefully unemployed and simultaneously overqualified. With a little unsolicited help from her unfiltered bestie, Madison, Ava ends up with a frustratingly handsome male maid in her employ. Little does she know that the man in the skimpy uniform might just be exactly what she needs to clean up the mess she's made of her home... and her life.

Love is never squeaky clean. This fresh, spicy series explores heartfelt, messy tales of love, lust... and laundry. Aurora Alba (co-author of the Ugly Sweater Party and Call of the Wyl) dazzles with this contemporary series debut, bringing her signature brand of hilarity, heat, and sugary sweetness and guaranteeing a swoon-worthy ending sure to warm your heart.

The Man Maid Series is recommended for fans of Lucy Score, Pippa Grant, and Meghan Quinn's lighthearted, quirky romance styles.

Maid in Heaven is a funny and heartfull, filled with real emotions and great characters. This was my first experience with author Aurora Alba, and I was throughly pleased with the development of her characters, the plot line, the humor, and the emotional depth. Main character Ava is a brilliant and successful career-aholic, a divorcee, and a complete emotional mess. Her best friend is absolutely hilarious in her forthright manner and delivery, and is the instigator of the two of them. Will is a single father who created a career for himself that allowed him to stay true to himself and also be there for his little girl—swoon! He has his priorities straight and is extra cautious with his heart—and that of his daughters. As the story progresses Will and Ava’s bond grows, and it’s really so beautiful. The dramas and wrenches in the plot are well-planned and truly showcase who these people are. I love that we get to hear the internal workings of all the various characters, and I adore the personalities of the dogs and Will’s daughter. So cute! The narrator did a lovely job performing, bringing the heart and heat in the story to the next level. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Loved the narration of Tina Smith, who brings the humour and brilliant character to your ears.

Ava is still struggling to recover from her divorce. While holding on to a tread her friend has a maid come into her house. But not your run of the mill maid . This is a drop down gorgeous man called Will. Completely shocked, she agrees to let him. Her day just goes down hill, after insulting a client on a web meeting and loosing her job.
Will has found a way to pay for his daughter's medical bill by earns his living as a sexy but no touching male maid.

Soon these two find themselves working together and chemistry between them grows.

This book has humour, enough angst, drama with the perfect amount of heat.

Great story. Loved Will Jessup and his cleaning business! What a fantastic idea! And so funny! Also, he's an incredible character, as is Ava, his love interest. Both characters are genuine, funny and definitely suited to each other. But their relationship comes with baggage that they both must deal with and though there's plenty of laughter along the way there's many moments of seriousness as well.

Audio book - Superb narration by Tina Smith. Nice clear voice with lovely pace and tone.

My personal preference would have been to have a male voice actor to cover Will Jessup's character. But that's my only gripe.

I received this as a free audiobook arc and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

This was an absolutely captivating story that completely consumed me from the very first page! I thoroughly enjoyed the incredibly engaging storyline, which was filled with unexpected twists and turns, and the dynamic, believable character interactions truly brought the narrative to life. The author's skillful ability to weave a complex plot while simultaneously developing such compelling relationships between the characters kept me completely hooked, and I found myself eagerly anticipating what would happen next until the very last page.

Will and Ava meet most unconventionally. It was so well-written. Will is a maid for wealthy women. He cleans their places whilst wearing what they ask him to wear. Ava is not doing great as she divorced her ex-husband six months ago due to his cheating after finding out she is infertile. They meet when Ava's best friend pays Will to clean her house. They go on several dates and she meets his daughter. They try with one another. Loved this story!.

This is book 1 in Alba's Man Maid and can I just say, yes please! What a wonderfully captivating book. Well written and narrated, this book had me hooked from the start. Ava and Will have the best chemistry, and the angst and humor are wonderfully done and delivered so well in the narration. I just loved this concept and the overall read/listen and I can't wait for more!

I loved this story. I loved the narration. I am excitedly looking forward to book two, I so wish it was ready now!
Ava is a bit of a cynic. She is recovering from a divorce. Will is a single father, who found a niche career. He is a male maid, even better he dresses is sexy customs while doing the cleaning. The women love it, and his services are in demand, even with a wait list! They clash, but are drawn to each other. It is a fun story, funny at times, and very sweet.

“Maid in Heaven” by Aurora Alba

-A delightful romantic comedy where a jaded career woman meets a swoon-worthy male maid.
Ava and Will’s chemistry crackles with humor, heart, and second-chance charm.
Their emotional growth and lovable quirks make this a joy to read (or hear!).
A touching, funny, and well-written start to a promising series.
I especially enjoyed Tina Smith’s narration that brings the humor to life.

A Fun Idea
Will makes ends meet and then some by cleaning houses in “hot-hunk” costumes. When he meets Ava on the job, the first meeting goes poorly… but the second shows promise. This story was entertaining, the dogs were cute, Starla was a hoot and the ending was super steamy. I generally enjoyed the story, and the premise was fun. Narration would have been better if it was duo/duet, but Time Smith did a decent job. Not as good as I had hoped for, but still decent.

A hilariously funny twist on maid service. This is the second book I’ve read from this author and she does not disappoint. This story was fun to the last page. Definitely a must read or listen. I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook and the narrator was great.

I freaking love all of Aurora Alba's work but this book really is something special. It tickles the funny bone throughout with all the snark and sass of the characters and prose while being a really spicy tale that gets the blood pumping and has such a sweet ending. I can not WAIT to read the rest of the books in Alba's Man Maid series. I think centering the series around scantily-clad male maids is brilliant. I honestly can't believe I've never seen something like this before in fiction. At least, not that I've ever heard of!

If you are looking for the vibe of a rubber-gloved Magic Mike with all the snark and adventure of a Lucy Score novel, then I urge you to check this one out. I received an advanced copy and loved every bit of it. 5 stars.

Really cute story

Really cute story. Loved that he was a maid and the object of all the rich b--ch's fantasies. That was interesting. And he helped the one that was in trouble. Just nice.

It was a good listen. I think the narrator was good as was the well rounded story. I also enjoyed some of the karma for the 'Villain' characters. I think you'd like the story.

Who doesn't love a golden retriever with slight dom tendencies. This book was absolutely adorable. The banter was good and the shyness of them both was so so so cute.

I couldn’t get into this book at all. The writing seemed very juvenile and innocent. It might be a great starter romance book but it wasn’t for me.

Oh my oh my oh my‼️‼️‼️ This book, had me on the first chapter and kept me hooked the whole time. I was rooting for the two characters to fall in love and live happily ever after since the beginning. Aurora makes you love each character.... That build up!

I am all about a story line and this work puts a warm place in my heart. Top 5 best books I have read this year.

Ava is an amazing, hard working woman that gets cheated on and has to start over, the ultimate betrayal.... Then you have will ( single father ) single father trying to just make a living. Two of them are coming together and magic happens. I just really love the romance these two bring! ( Chef 💋 kiss) Maybe this book holds a little bit more in my heart because my children have a step dad as well. This author kills it with the romance.
And just enough spicy 🌶️🌶️ to make you have chills!

When I tell you, you need to read this book! You need to read this book.
The steam, the love, the little fights they have then come back together, and have I told you this book is so funny! I was laughing the whole time with the jokes, wording from Ava and her best friend. Even the jokes from Will and Ava. This book is funny, quirky, makes you feel warm inside. Makes you want to move to a place that's cold and has snow. I mean how does an author do that makes you feel like you're inside the book.

My favorite part is this book isn't powered over by spicy 🌶️, there is a story behide it and a build up. Right when you think that you have the story played out in your mind... you don't‼️ I can't tell you how excited I am for the next one to come out.

Run, I mean RUN to get this book ( chef kisses)
