Il cane più simpatico e pasticcione di tutti i tempi è sempre alle prese con casi misteriosi da risolvere, insieme ai suoi amici della Misteri & Affini.
We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it. The stories in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together.
Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read over fifty of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with these stories for years to come.
This tale involves a Hollywood production of an Egyptian movie. Scooby and the gang are as curious and persistent as ever, solving the mystery in no time. We enjoyed reading this story together.
One could say this is a typical Scooby-Doo adventure/mystery. That is not necessarily a bad thing. In this case all the elements of a classic Scooby mystery are present. We have a secluded place, several possible suspects and a 'ghost' of some sort. To make things more interesting the venue for the mystery is an old castle that has been shipped over from Scotland and rebuilt. During dinner the power goes out and in the darkened dining room a ghost of the original inhabitant of the castle makes an appearance and says anyone who does not leave will be forced to stay in the castle for eternity. He then disappears, apparently taking the current owner of the castle with him. The Mayor, who was one of the guests leaves but intends to come back with the police and a tow truc. that latter due to the fact the Mystery Machine is broken down. The other two guests, an entrepreneur who wanted to obtain the castle to use for a tourist attraction and a lady who wanted to have the castle shipped back to Scotland where she feels it beongs. That leaves the Mystery, Inc. gang along with the servant of the missing owner and the ghost in the castle. The ghost makes another appearance, the gang finds some clues and Fred comes up with a trap. In other words, everything is normal and we end up with yet another unmasking. This the formula we have come to expect and of course to keep the customer satisfied there should be no deviating from the formula. Yes I knew some of what was going to happen and if one thinks about it the actual identity of the ghost isn't that hard to figure out. However the fun here is in how the story is told and Mr. Gelsey did a good job on that account. One comment, this edition was prepared for McDonalds as one of the book given away instead of a toy with Happy Meals. I daresay there were some young readers who were happy to get this one. Happy reading.
Another cute story except I didn’t really think the ending made a lot of sense. I guessed the correct person who did it really early on but part of the reason why didn’t make sense. Also the rewrites Rolly Bluster was making Azzi Fazeh do don’t make sense either when he tells the reason why. Overall the story was cute but the ending could have been better thought out.
Yup that was a Scooby Doo story all right. If you like Scooby Doo, this is your reading level or if it's nostalgic for you then you'll love it. To me it was just ok, there was a mummy for like 1 maybe 2 chapters.
I think that this book was pretty good, if you like a good mystery. I find it interesting that that the author of most of the Scooby-Doo books (James Gelsey)get's worse as he goes on. This book was the 2nd book in the Scooy-Doo series, it had very nice detail. I also read the 7th book in the series, the author seemed like he was rushing to get the book published. I would have to say that the 2nd bok in the series was a lot better than the 7th because the 7th was a lot more sloppy, and less detailed. It seems that the author slacked off as he went on. In other words he get's worse as he goes on. If you read, and like Scooby-Doo books please keep on reading. I want you to remember that this is just my opinion.
I remember having this book as a little kid and loving it so much I would read it over and over again. Somehow I either lost it or gave it to my baby cousins. I'm not sure which. This book is a great read for children. It used to keep me captivated every time I read it from the beginning to the end. I loved it so much maybe one day I will buy the whole series and read it. :)
I didn't really like this book because I did not like the Mummy parts of the story. My favourite part was when the Mummy was spinning around and Rolly Bluster was really dizzy after that. I liked that because I thought it was funny. My favourite people were Scooby and Shaggy because they are funny. My least favourite part was when the Mummy tried to get Shaggy and Scooby because that was mean.
