No matter what you do, or what your purpose or wealth status is, this is a must read to learn the real-world wealth strategies everyone should know.
Mel has been an incredible guide and friend for 15 years.
I’ve learned a ton from Mel about business, financial freedom, and most importantly how to live a character-driven, meaningful, abundant and generous life.
That's why I know you'll love his new book.
Not only is Mel a financial genius and incredibly successful business owner, but he's a great friend that I've had the joy of teaching so many of you with.
Mel has trained thousands of our seminar attendees. Just for fun, because we're friends, he literally helps me pull off my seminars.
He runs his own successful business, but he comes to our events to have fun and serve with me. He's the sage backstage, he's the voice announcing me, the guy behind the scenes brainstorming content and flow with me, the great friend who helps me keep my mind right and run my businesses with excellence.
He loves frameworks and human behavior change at the levels I do, so I devoured his new book and learned so much.
This is a must-read no matter your career, because you gotta lock in to these wealth mindset and practices. Financial freedom sounds so out of reach for people - he gives you the map.
I wish I knew this stuff 20 years ago. Please read it.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get the hardcover and read it, bc you'll want to take notes in the margins trust me. This is the guide to a free, strong and fulfilling life that you've been looking for. My first awesome book of the summer!
Mel Abraham’s Building Your Money Machine offers a mix of practical financial strategies and reflective prompts designed to help you build a more intentional approach to wealth and work.
I loved his perspective on work/life balance being an impossible goal and instead focusing on work/life harmony—this idea resonated with me right away. His use of personal examples when providing journaling prompts was a nice touch.
The book is packed with actionable steps, though much of the advice felt like a confirmation of strategies I’ve heard before, especially regarding money-saving techniques for retirement. While valuable, the repetition—particularly in the introductory chapters—sometimes made it a challenge to stay engaged in the audiobook format.
That said, I think this is a resource worth revisiting over the years, especially in hard copy form, to fully take advantage of the prompts and steps. Overall, I’d rate it 3.5/5 stars. The information is solid, but the redundancy in delivery detracted from the experience.
I have a number of wealth-building/money management books on my shelf, but this was the first one that helped me understand priorities when building wealth. Mel Abraham provides a lot of useful psychology and strategies for reducing and ultimately getting rid of destructive debt, investing wisely, taking risks with one's money (or not), and more. I first purchased the ebook, and followed up with the Audible version so I could reflect on the lessons while driving to work. Now, I'm thinking of getting the physical book, so I can further digest the material and make a plan. Thanks for helping me get my priorities in order, Mel!
I saw someone recommend this on IG and always love a refresher now and then on wealth management and personal finance. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough strategy or actionable ideas here. I wanted to feel motivated to revisit some aspects of my finances, but just wasn't.
A great way to turn around your financial life. In a chewable way, Mel bring common sense to Financial stress, from how to set up savings to an introduction to investing.
I enjoyed it so much. PD. Do the "Action Time" exercises.
