We start with Riley checking in to see how Aisling is doing. What happened with Melissa and her mean girls? What happened to or with Toby? Who are Riley and Toby to Aisling? Who is Zoloman, and why do we meet him? What does he say his agenda is? Oh my gosh, Zane and Zolo, Iber and Riley, Celine and her witches brought a different level of suspense and energy to the story. You have to read the previous books first, in my opinion, as there are a lot of references back to things that happened in them, but this can be read on its own.
