A short story about a Connecticut man who finds a horrifying way to make a living off of the sea. Sampson's life was going downhill until an accident changed everything. The only thing he lost in the process was his humanity. This horrifying story about a fisherman who finds a gruesome way to improve his catch is inspired by a true story.

This fisherman loves nothing more than being out on the ocean. It’s so relaxing. The sound of the waves, the gentle rocking of the boat, and his new process of baiting his traps. http://beckisbookblog.wordpress.com/2...
The thrill of the kill... nah. The thrill of the bait. That's where it's at. Decent short story of a serial killer with a plan to help out his day job. Not a bad story but I would like to see it fleshed out a bit more.
I received a free kindle copy of Bait by Micah Ackerman in an Amazon promotion. I gave it four stars for the sheer horror of this short story. Sadly there were several typos that the editor missed.
This is a terse & often sickening story of Sampson, the lobster man, plying his trade along the Connecticut shoreline. He has survived the past dozen years by selling premium lobster to high end restaurants. It left me feeling queasy.
